Chalet Al Foss, Italy – World’s Most Romantic Hotel (4K Tour & Vlog)
Chalet Al Foss is situated in Vermiglio, Northern Italy, overlooking the Presanella Glacier. Hello from Italian Alps. We are already in front of the luxury hotel. Chalet Al Foss opened on July 1, 2022 as a 5-star adults-only alpine resort. The property has been family-owned since 1960. Chalet Al Foss has a stunning alpine-style exterior. By the entrance, there’s a cute little red car parked. I’m wondering if we can drive it. The stairs are lined with colorful flowers on both sides. As we get closer, you can actually see the pool floor from up here. This is a place where guests can relax, especially at night. Two mask-shaped chairs are placed on the terrace. Honestly, I wanted to visit this luxury hotel a long time ago, since it’s one of the most followed hotels in the world. I am glad I had the chance to see it. The pool was recently renovated and now feels much more spacious. It’s a reindeer with antlers that glow at night. A great photo spot with a lips-shaped sofa and the Chalet in the background. Let’s enter the beautiful hotel now. If you look up.. the rooftop is decorated in a beautiful, romantic style. Lobby and check-in area is really spacious for a mountain hotel. Reception desk in front. This is what it looks like in winter. It’s truly a dream. Take a seat and enjoy the welcome drink until the room is ready. Ferrari champagne as a welcome drink. Like that. Here’s to a beautiful stay ahead. The lobby features a cozy bar. It creates a pleasant visual effect, similar to flickering flames. A champagne holder shaped like a ski slope. Four hanging chairs where you can hang out, play games, etc. Dresses, hats and jackets are on display. On the way to the elevator hall, there’s a small shop. I like that the interior keeps its mountain feel, even though it’s a 5-star hotel. Before checking out our room, let’s take a quick look at the pool area. It is a beautiful cabana with a DJ playing music. Looks like these stairs take us to the infinity pool. Chalet Al Foss features a scenic infinity pool facing the mountains and the glacier. The pool is heated to 34°C during the summer. Small lounging area by the pool. Chalet Al Foss is open in both winter and summer but it usually closes from April to July for maintenance and preparations. The design is really unique, with glass walls on all sides. On the other side, there’s the hot tubs area. There are 6 hot tubs where we can relax. Small sweet treat. It’s a mini choux with Nutella cream inside. Thank you. Take the elevator that will take us up to our room. The hotel has 4 floors and 44 accommodations in total. There are more than 10 categories, including rooms, suites and penthouse, each with its own design. We’ll be staying in room 405, located at the top floor. “Living the mountain dream” room keycard. We’ll be staying for three nights in the Penthouse with jacuzzi. Let’s see what is inside the 1.387 EUR / night room. The penthouse has 90 square meters, about 970 square feet and can fit 2 guests. It includes both a dining area and a cozy bedroom area. The room from a different angle. Bed seems to be king-sized. Mattress is medium hard. First pillow is hard and second si quite soft. I love how nearly all the elements in the room are handmade and made from solid wood. Full size mirror. Large bathtub in black. It can fit 2 people and the water pressure feels nice. A wooden cabinet with “Foss” written on it. Let’s see what’s inside it. A large flat screen. Super inventive. On the other night table there are a few items. Black phone. Chalet Al Foss notepad and pencil. Handmade picture next to the light switches. It’s a beautiful panoramic window right in front of the bed. The curtains close automatically with just one press. Nice! Dining area. You’ll find a minibar right beneath the staircase. Classic glasses for whisky or scotch. Chalet Al Foss complimentary water. Ferrari glasses for champagne. A corkscrew is included in the minibar setup. The fridge is stocked with drinks. On the right we’ll find water, juices, sodas. You’ll find apple juice sourced locally from Trentino. Another one. Chocolate bars. The alcoholic drinks are placed on the left side. A bottle of 2020 Villa Margon Trentino Chardonnay. A 2019 white wine from Tenute Lunelli. Ferrari champagne. Seeing a bottle of Moët in the room minibar is quite rare. The price list is surprisingly reasonable for a 5-star hotel. Prices for alcoholic drinks start from 60 EUR though. Next, several items are placed on the counter. Coffee capsules from Illy brand. Coffee cups from Spai. Illy espresso machine in black. Let’s take a look at the snacks inside the box now. Golden covered hazelnuts with a unique Chalet-style design. Gummy bears. Rosemary shack biscuits. Dining table has the same unique design. I especially like these big black chains. I can feel the solid wood. It’s a walk-in shower in the middle of the room. Quite spacious and the interior is made from a grey, non-slip surface. It has see-through glass walls. The coat rack is quite interesting with these carved hearts. The stairs are beautifully lit, creating a warm and cozy mountain vibe. We can relax in two different types of bathrobes. Indoor slippers are so cute and fluffy. Chalet Al Foss Alp Resort is written on them. First one is a white bathrobe made from a thicker fabric. Rivolta Carmignani is a high-end Italian brand known for luxury linens especially for prestigious hotels. The words “Mountain Dream” are written on the back. The other two bathrobes are grey and made from a softer fabric. I love Chalet Al Foss. The hanger has a unique design with skis and pine trees carved into it. Closet is spacious. Pool towels with Chalet. Hmm..nice surprise. Branded flip-flops from the resort. Beach bag. Safety box fits a lot of things inside. Hangers for summer or mountain clothes. Take a look at the bathroom now. The bathroom has a simple design and is completely grey. One sink and two mirrors. Round make-up mirror has automatic motion technology. On the counter we can see some bathroom amenities in line. Toothbrush glass. Quite a few. You’ll find the hotel’s logo on every item. Soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. On the other side of the counter there’s a box with more amenities. Clensing milk, shaving kit, dental kits. Toilet and bidet here. The paper is sealed with a heart-shaped sticker. Second shower of the room is smaller but looks the same. Hairdresser. It’s from the Swiss brand “Valera”. Since the room is called “The Penthouse with jacuzzi”, let’s check out the jacuzzi terrace. I love the silence of the mountains. Reached the top of the penthouse. I thought the terrace would be small, but it’s actually quite spacious. Wowza. Time to open up the hot spring jacuzzi. Pressing a button activates the bubbles. My kind of relaxation therapy. Are those goats? Ciao, neighbours! Alright, just look at that view! Continuing the tour with the balcony. Two chairs and a table. From here, we can admire the entire view. I can only imagine how beautiful it must be in the morning with the sun. Panoramic view over the valley. Next, our romantic roses hot tub. Chalet Al Foss is best known for its rose-themed couple arrangements, found in different areas of the resort or even in the rooms. Splendid. Two glasses of champagne next to the tub. It’s a comfortable 30 degrees Celsius. All these romantic moments can be pre-booked for an additional cost. Chalet Al Foss has 1.2 million followers on Instagram and I can definitely see why it’s so loved. Look at all that steam rising above the pool. In winter, there’s a big contrast between the outside temperature (-10°C) and the pool water (34°C). I’m curious to see what’s inside the small wooden hut. It’s actually a dining table. It’s rustic and intimate, specially designed for couples. Setup is beautiful and elegant. Glass floor. Next, we’re heading to the indoor restaurant for our fine-dining dinner. The restaurant is open all day, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. The fine-dining restaurant at Chalet Al Foss is called Ristorante Il Contemporaneo and opens at 8 pm for dinner. Our table for the first evening. The fine-dining dinner begins with a water menu. There are so many options, like water from Chile, the Czech Republic and more. Dinner napkin. There are three different tasting menus and we have to choose one. Materia is quite large and diverse. (120 Eur / person) Verticalità focuses more on fish. (180 Eur / person) And Botanico is fully vegetarian. (85 Eur / person) A wine list is available to pair with the tasting menu. Like J.W. Goethe says, “Life is too short to drink mediocre wines”. There are so many types. French wines and champagne like Grande Cuvée 171ème Edition. The view is truly spectacular even from the inside. Our wine pick was the 2020 Chianti Classico by Castello di Cacchiano. Wine glasses are special. Yum, smells so good even from far away. It has the deep red color of ripe cherries. Grazie. For the food, we agreed on the Materia tasting menu. So we’re starting with a selection of one-bite dishes. The first one is beautifully presented. It is gel with mango and coconut. It was placed inside of a real rose. Topped with delicate golden flakes. Now I am curious. Next is salted croissant with some creme cheese inside. Special croissant. The third one is a cocoa ball served on a silver spoon. Last bite is a tart with cheese and a flower. The plate has some herbs on it. They spray the wet towel with a vintage perfume. Smells good! We continue with a selection of bread. Italian bread sticks. Crackers with seeds and salt. Focaccia from Liguria, Genova with salt and rosemary. Mini baguettes, Italian pretzels from Puglia and focaccia with olives and tomatoes. Reinterpretation of Rossini features Wagyu meat, truffle and Amobuche sauce. It is so soft and smells amazing. Scallop alla Pizzaiola served with octopus mayonnaise and chopped tomatoes with capers. I appreciate how well they present each plate. Almost forgot about the bread selection. This focaccia looks amazing. Tomatoes inside. A classic Italian dish: pasta with Italian tomatoes. Enjoy! After the pasta, we were served a small drink made with pasta water. Next, Acquerello rice. Italian rice with black garlic, Italian champagne and tomato sauce. Creamy. The presentation of the food is impressive. I am really enjoying the whole experience. This is Pithiviers & Foie Gras. The meat color is lovely. Some sauce is paired with the food. Delightful. A new water glass with a blue heart inside. There’s a nice fire going outside. Small sweet bite before the dessert. It’s kind of a coffee sorbet. Dessert is a lemon base with orange cream, a touch of orange zest and paired with lemon sorbet. Sorbet of lemon. Fresh summer taste. What is up next?! It’s cotton candy. We received headphones as well. The dessert moment is truly spectacular. I really didn’t expect to see cotton candy and Matrioska dolls so this is quite a surprise. Inside some of the Russian dolls, we’re supposed to find different types of desserts. First attempt.. Fail. The first one I found had a donut filled with whipped cream inside. Jelly. Another one. Cannoli. Dinner has ended. It was a really fine experience and I’m so grateful I got to see it. Thank you for the food. Now that our stomachs are full, let’s take a short walk around the hotel. Hotel guests can come here and relax by the small fire. It’s calming. Chalet Al Foss is lit up at night, creating a magical alpine atmosphere. The outdoor lighting highlights the architecture. I love how they leave the decorations in place, even in the summer season. There’s a small fire by the entrance stairs. Nice music. To the right, the fireplace we saw when we arrived is now lit. Take a seat and enjoy the pleasant warm breeze from the fire. The pool is closed at night, making the whole resort feel peaceful and quiet. The jacuzzi by the pool is lit up in blue. The biggest hot tub from here has a small fireplace as well. I am surprised that the pool is not illuminated during the night. Now, back to our room for a good night’s sleep. When I return to the room at night, the first thing I check is… The turndown service. When I open the door the lighting is dimmed for a peaceful mood. A small sweet treat was left on the bed and all the curtains in the room are now closed. Let’s see what’s inside.. A few sweet caramels! Movie time before sleep. Night! It’s a beautiful morning in the Alps. On our way to breakfast, we ran into some guests. Well…hello. How are you today little one? This is Bob and Marley by the way. The two cute lambs that live at Chalet Al Foss. No idea who’s Bob and who’s Marley, to be honest. They keep coming to me every time I come a little closer. Among the mountains and luxury, Chalet Al Foss is also home to a few friendly animals: alpacas, lambs and rabbits. Here is a restaurant that serves dinner. It has amazing mountain views and the setup is rustic with a cozy alpine feel. Beautiful landscape. Today’s breakfast is going to be: breakfast with alpacas. As we get closer to the breakfast spot, we see one of them on the wall. I can see them right there, in the back. Breakfast with alpacas is one of the most loved activities at Chalet Al Foss. This is Zen (white one) and Amour (brown one). Breakfast with Amour & Zen, the alpacas, is a unique and exclusive experience available only to Chalet Al Foss guests by reservation. On my coffee is written “Breakfast with alpacas”. The price starts at €150 per couple. Hungry this morning? There are four alpacas that live here. We’ll see the other two a little later. Alpacas are gentle, friendly animals native to South America, especially Peru, Bolivia and Chile. Because of their peaceful temperament, they’re often used in animal therapy. Did yout catch that? Hehe. He’s more curious and social than Zen. We can also feed them while they are around us. They’re part of the camelid family, closely related to llamas but smaller and softer in appearance. They get pretty excited when they’re given flowers, just like girls. They’re all boys though. We can order omelette, eggs any style, pancakes, etc and eat here with them. Lambs are here. Here come the alpacas. Bernie. Zen. Happy. Amour Bernard is the oldest and they all follow him. Lol, cute sounds. We can pet them if we want, they love it. They’re so soft and in winter, they grow all their fleece to stay warm. What do you think..should we come back in winter to experience the hotel again and see Amour in his full fluffy coat? Tell us in the comments 🙂 As I said earlier, Chalet Al Foss has also two Japanese rabbits. Didn’t expect them to be this FLUFFY. Oh wow, so much energy this early in the morning! One is completely white, and the other has only its ears in grey. Japanese rabbits are known for their calm nature and soft fur. We’ll be spending a few days here at the Chalet so we’ll make sure to show you plenty of activities and delicious food experiences. Breakfast at the restaurant. Around the world breakfast dishes such as harsh browns, porridge, waffles. The heart is actually a menu with more food choices. Foss pancake. Fresh juices such as orange, apple, pineapple with pear and blueberries. I ordered an iced coffee. Very Italian. Even the juice is served in style, in wine and champagne glasses! Yummy pineapple juice. We were welcomed with a tray full of pastries. Sicilian brioche, a cupcake with mascarpone cream, pain au chocolat, Swiss chocolate bread. Fruits tart, Zaatar croissant, plain croissant. I chose only a plain butter croissant. We ordered a bowl of yogurt with muesli, dried fruits and some almonds. Mascarpone cupcake. The Foss pancake comes in a generous size. Fruits platter with strawberries, apricots, pears, melon, berries. It’s bigger than a hand. Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. Sunny side up eggs. Delicious mountain food. Fruits are nice and sweet. I can’t resist the cupcake though. Truly amazing breakfast. After breakfast, we’re heading to the pool. There are some loungers in front of the restaurant where we can relax at any time of day. During the summer season, the resort is less crowded compared to winter. Prices are lower and the atmosphere is peaceful. But honestly, I believe the true beauty of this place is in winter when it’s surrounded by snowy mountains and freezing temperatures. When we reach the pool terrace, it’s a message on the floor. “Welcome to the Mountain Dream.” The pool color is bright blue when it is sunny outside. Good vibes and great views. Now, I want to test the jacuzzi. The temperature must be close to 36°C. I pressed a button so the bubbles and hydromassage in the jacuzzi started. DJ. In some afternoons, there are also live performances by a saxophonist. Let’s enter the pool now. A great infinity pool. It is usually open from 10 am to 7 pm. The glass surrounding the pool is made of a very thick material and it’s not slippery like I expected. We can walk on the glass floor, of course. Chalet Al Foss has a spa located on the first floor called H20 Alpin Spa. On the left, reception desk. Pool towels. On the right, there are some Balmain skincare products available for sale. I’ll take one to use in here. Right in front is the main relaxation area of the spa, featuring the resort’s second pool. Indoor loungers can fit 2 people. Entrance to the pool. The indoor pool becomes truly amazing when we press the secret button. The water is released all around the light fixture in the ceiling. The water system lets us step into the circle without getting our hair wet and then it spreads all around us. I haven’t seen this until now. It feels great. I thought that the spa is small but it is not. Shower rooms on the left. Two desks offer tea, infused water, chocolates and fresh fruits. Our spot in the Bubble Room is booked for later. Next to it there’s a dry sauna. From what I can see, it can accommodate many people. Colors in the sauna change. Infused water with orange, apple, lemon is available. Chalet al Foss-branded water glasses. On the other side there are some healthy snacks such as fruits. I think it’s an ice machine. Apples, apricots, dark grapes. It’s some chocolate inside. Green tea China. Rooibos tea with lime, organic herb blend. H2O Spa offers different rooms, each with its own ambiance and health benefits. There are mirrors all over us. Real snow. Snowball fight? This is a relaxation amphitheater. The transparent floor is lit up with warm fairy lights. This is the resort’s second sauna, a panoramic one overlooking the Presanella Glacier. When we go in.. It’s a small lobby where we can leave our clothes or shoes. It’s an old-style walk-in shower with a bucket. This sauna is bigger than the first one and more beautiful. It has such a mountain feel. There’s a hot water cauldron here. Hotel name is written. Take a short rest on the bench here and enjoy the view. Before today’s scheduled activities, we had a quick swim and a sweet treat. A mini cheesecake with raspberry sauce and a raspberry on top. The first activity is cryotherapy. Cryotherapy is a treatment that uses extreme cold to boost recovery and reduce inflammation in the body. This is how a massage room looks like. We’ll stay for 3 minutes at -90°C in what they call the Longevity Suite. Cryotherapy is still quite rare in Europe and Chalet Al Foss is one of the few resorts that has it. One 3-minute session is around 90 EUR / person. Well, cryotherapy was quite an experience. (cold one!!) Now, after a bit of rest, we’re back for the Bubble Room. The Bubble Room is a private spa experience designed for pure fun and relaxation. Is this room going to be full of bubbles? The bubbles are released from the small blue holes in the ceiling. Bubble Room is around €90–€120 for a 45-minute to 1-hour session (for 2 people). Honestly, this might be one of the most fun things we’ve ever done at any hotel. Next we wanted to try the lobby bar. I will take a seat and choose from the cocktail or wine menu. Digital menu this time. There are plenty of alcoholic options, including signature cocktails like Martini Violet, Sunset and Fruit Fantasy. I’ll go with the “Virgin Chalet”. Anyone else enjoying while getting cocktails served right in front of them? It has a beautiful pink color. Flower on top. The price for a “Virgin Chalet” is 15 EUR. Beautiful. Before we head to dinner, there’s a disco bathroom inside the hotel. Modern design. I was told to press the button. The music is automatically released. Cool. We can dance here. This evening, we’re having dinner at “La Dolce Vita”, their Italian restaurant. The table setting feels traditionally Italian. There’s even a Fiat 500 parked in the corner of the room. I love that almost every room has unique elements and that they are all branded by hotel. They serve the ice cream on a little cart with wheels. Cones. If we go further inside, the restaurant feels more intimate and even more authentic. There are only a few tables so reservations have to be made in advance. There are pictures with people and celebrities eating pasta. In the center of the room it’s a slicing machine used for jamón, prosciutto crudo, salami. Real meat here. Our cute dinner spot. Each table has a jar with spaghetti as decorative element. I will take a seat. I really like this classic square Italian napkin. All the restaurants open at 8 pm for dinner. Dinner menu. Open. They have traditional dishes such as parmigiana, tartare di carne, pacchero pasta. Tagliatelle, risotto, filet of “Fassona Piemontese”, mussel soup, fish. Desserts such as classic tiramisu, gelato. Wine list. The wine presentation is splendid. On the left page, there’s a map of Italy highlighting some of its most famous wine regions. I love the wine from Tuscany. “Italy is a mosaic of terroirs, flavors, and centuries-old winemaking traditions.” “Each wine on this list has been chosen from producers who embody craftsmanship and authenticity, expressing history, passion, and identity in every glass.” Wines from Marche, Umbria, Campania. I chose the 2021 Nebbiolo Occhetti Prunotto red wine. Vivid color. To a remarkable Italian dinner ahead. I like it that it is very peaceful here. Warm, fresh-made bread paired with Italian olive oil. The bread is so soft and the olive oil smells incredible. Let’s try it out. This combination never gets old in Italy. Here comes the bread selection. Tomato and olive bread and crunchy corn flour breadsticks. I received a cold towel before my dish. I ordered the mussel soup with toasted Sicilian bread. Homemade egg tagliatelle with black truffle. Mussel soup is a classic dish here in Italy, full of flavor and simplicity. Every time I see it on the menu, I have to order it. The homemade pasta is thin and yellow. It’s also very creamy, with a subtle hint of truffle. They say Italy has some of the best bread in the world.
I agree. We couldn’t go to sleep without having a few scoops of gelato. I got pistachio, chocolate and nocciola. And of course…tiramisu. Mamma mia. Can I take one back home? Another surprise is coming. Small fruits tarts served with limoncello. Limoncello is originally from southern Italy, especially the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento and Capri. I like limoncello. It is said that it is good for digestion (or for a better sleep). Have a good night. Buongiorno. How did you sleep today? The weather looks very promising today but in the mountains it can change from one hour to the next. Plenty of activities are happening down there by the pool. Breakfast with Bernie and Happy. I already miss them. “Underwater Wear a Dream” from 250 EUR for 45 minutes. These fluffy slippers are so comfy. I’m not a mountain lover or a hiker but this is absolutely spectacular. Glacier. There are seven unique breakfast experiences you can try at Chalet Al Foss, all with an additional cost. Today, we try the Foss Treehouse breakfast. The experience costs €250.00 for the couple and happens in a treehouse in the woods. What makes it special is the red cable car box that delivers your breakfast. Let’s see what is inside. Apparently, everything was already waiting for us here. Inside the treehouse, there’s a small space and two chairs with a central table. Special coffee delivery. There’s a design on the cappuccino. Cable car! The chairs are covered in a soft, fluffy material. The table is so packed, there’s no room left for anything else. I think I will be staying here for a loong time in order to finish everything. A bunch of roses in the corner. Still and sparkling water. Getting nervous in front of the pastries. There’s a rustic mountain lamp hanging from the ceiling, decorated with fur and antlers. Coffee with I love Chalet Al Foss. The plates are hand-painted with snowy fir trees. We’ve got a heater nearby in case we want it really warm. The view is amazing from the treehouse balcony. It’s so small. Orange juice. Three bread buns and plain croissant. Selection of brioches. Fresh blackberries, raspberries and blueberries and tart. A cube that seems to be filled with jam. Fruits like cherries, strawberries, plums, etc. Chalet Al Foss Nutella. A pastry roll topped with Madagascar vanilla sauce. I ordered Eggs Florentine, poached eggs with spinach on an english muffin topped with hollandaise. And a house omelette with everything. Cable car just left for a bit to get me something. Up it comes again. Another croissant for us. Oh, the magic of evolution. It’s a fluffy, airy omelette. This one is really interesting and it is a sweet-sour jam. Now I understand why this hotel has become so popular and is often a honeymoon destination in itself. Next stop of the day, Foss animals. Why are you hiding there? Look at those pink ears. He’s doing his morning yoga. It’s been two days and I’ve only seen his little nose, never his eyes! Other one is the sleepy one.. Two different personalities. He runs more than me. I just can’t describe it. This is the fluffiest animal ever. The alpacas family is watching me approaching. Was I expected? He’s always chewing something. We can visit them anytime we want during the day. There are portraits with all of them. Each one was given a name that suits its personality. Amour, the one covered in grass. And Bernie. Which alpaca is your favorite? Hi cuties. I’m sorry, but it’s time to head downstairs. Goodbye for now. Chalet Al Foss offers more than just relaxing and eating, although those are definitely highlights. You can go on scenic hikes right from the resort, with trails offering views of the Presanella Glacier and the surrounding mountains. Mountain biking or e-biking (in summer) available on nearby trails. Skiing or snowshoeing (in winter). The hotel is not a ski-in/ski-out spot, but slopes and snowy areas are close by. Vermiglio is the nearby village, quiet and charming. Passo del Tonale is not far and it’s great for mountain views or snow activities. You could also explore Val di Sole or drive to Trento or Bolzano for bigger city vibes. The red car can also be rented starting from 85 EUR per day. So there are 6 hot tubs at Chalet Al Foss. This is the biggest one and it also has a fire in the middle. There are also private events such as aperitif experience. It is an amazing view of the hotel. Two sun loungers are placed nearby. Next hot tub is smaller and more intimate. It is located in the back of the cabana. Usually people come here to enjoy a drink, talk in the water or relax. Calming. If we go a little further, there are another two located at the upper levels. It says “Relax” on the cabana. I’ve always loved hot tubs. There’s something so comforting about slipping into warm water when the air around you is cool. I guess it is an amazing view here in the winter. We can two rooms from up here. Looks like a private terrace, possibly linked to one of the rooms. Next to the reception area, there is a small shop with Chalet Al Foss products. Dresses, furs and hats are available for sale. A selection of small purses and makeup bags in different colors, patterns and sizes. If we go further, another two models are on display. This is a fur made by the hotel. Some beach essentials. Swim shorts with lobsters. Swimsuits. “It’s gin o’clock” T-shirt. Price for the item is 75 EUR. There are a lot of things in this shop window. Winter hats in black, white. Converse sneakers customized with Chalet Al Foss branding and little red hearts. Another pair. Indoor slippers are also available for purchase if you’d like to buy an extra pair as a gift. Next is the fitness area. Gym is open 24 hours a day and is a decent size. Still water and towels are available. It’s not very large, but you’ll find everything you need for basic workouts and training. You’ll even find a body composition analysis device and a workout planner. Mats, jump rope, medicine ball. The gym is equipped with modern Technogym machines. Training benches are available too. The day flew by and it’s already evening time. For tonight, we planned to have a romantic dinner by the pool. There are candles and flowers on each side. Romantic dinners at Chalet Al Foss typically start at around €300 for two people, depending on the arrangement type, flowers, etc It’s one of the reasons the resort is often chosen for proposals. It’s also where we got engaged. 🙂 Rain has started, so we’ll most likely have dinner inside the cabin for the rest of the evening. Let’s see it. The entire ceiling is covered in twinkling lights and little hearts. Even though the atmosphere outside was lovely and the setting beautiful, it feels just as intimate in here. Every corner of the hotel reflects so much dedication and passion. Dinner experience menu is called “Signature in love”. You can also create your own menu by choosing individual dishes. First dish that we chose is called “Tartare di Fassona Piemontese”. Served with pickled onion, mustard beans and edible flowers. Prosciutto curdo di Parma with buratta. For the mains, we chose to have some pasta. Rigatoni pasta with tomato sauce, fried eggplant, ricotta salsa. Fusillone pasta with Alpine Wagyu ragu. Beef fillet with baked local potatoes. I loved this one. Received a gift. Profiterole with cream pyramid. Thank you! We’re taking home some chocolate-coated strawberries. Dessert is for two people. (or four honestly) Filled with vanilla sauce and topped with cold dark chocolate. After the dinner, we went downstairs to relax by the fire. Sweet dreams. It’s our final morning in the Italian Alps before we head back home. Floating breakfast is served in the main pool. We’ll have another special breakfast today. Breakfast in the hot tub is 150 EUR per couple. Here it comes. In addition you can request: “Hot tub in love” (red rose petals) + breakfast in hot tub for 2 people is €630. Or “Summer in love” (mixed colored flowers) + breakfast in hot tub for 2 people is €730. Now I really can’t decide which Chalet breakfast is my favorite. I think the first one is definitely a once in a lifetime experience, breakfast with alpacas. We received fruits, yogurts, pastries and coffee. Personalized coffee just for me.(I said yes at yesterday’s proposal) The alpacas are everywhere. You can also order extras from the menu, like an omelette. This is what I’ll do. Great way to start the day, isn’t it? Omelette with cheese. Napkins and water are provided here. Great breakfast served in the water. Now, let’s take a look at the most popular activities. Walk with alpacas, floating aperitif, sinner in the chalet. Dresses rental. I’m sure they’re all amazing, and I wish I could try every single one. I really enjoyed my stay at Chalet Al Foss. Now, some impressions of the stay. The room, pools, spa and restaurants were spotless. The service felt warm and personal, exactly what you’d expect from a place this special. All the experiences and activities were incredible. The location is nice and close to many villages. That said, Chalet Al Foss truly stands out among mountain resorts. It’s not just a hotel, it’s a destination. Thank you so much for watching.
Today we’re visiting Chalet Al Foss Alp Resort, often called the most romantic hotel in the world. This dreamy escape in the Italian Alps offers breathtaking views of the glacier, private hot tubs and mountain suites made for couples.
We’ll enjoy their famous breakfast with alpacas, relax in the infinity pool overlooking the mountains, watch the sunset from a hot tub, have romantic dinners in their themed restaurants, take a look at their famous spa, gym and even try the unique Longevity Room set at -90°C.

◽️Curiosities
Chalet Al Foss is a family-run hotel that opened in 1960 and was recently transformed into a 5-star luxury resort. The owners, Carlotta and Alberto, are known for their warmth, passion and dedication to creating unforgettable experiences for every guest.
Chalet Al Foss hosts 4 alpacas (Bernie, Happy, Amour and Zen), two lambs (Bob and Marley) and two Japanese rabbits (names unknown for now).
The infinity pool is one of the most photographed in Europe, offering postcard-perfect views of the Presanella Glacier. The resort is famous for its breakfast with alpacas while their four alpacas gently walk around you.
Each suite is designed with a different theme and view, from forest cabins to modern mountain penthouses. The Longevity Room reaches -90°C, using cryotherapy to improve circulation and energy.
Many proposals and honeymoons happen here since it’s a top romantic destination for couples from around the world. Themed dinners are held in unique spaces like The Nest, a wooden structure overlooking the valley. Guests can book private photoshoots in vintage bathtubs filled with flowers, with the mountains as a backdrop.
In winter, the resort turns into a snowy fairytale with horse-drawn carriages, fireplaces and candlelit dinners in the snow.
