(SUB) 승무원과 일본 MZ는 성수에서 뭐할까?
I think this one’s ruined. You can also watch them making it over there. Meccha oishii desu. Hold on. You look so pretty right now. Director, please film her. Hi everyone, hello. I’m Suyeon from Citrus Air. Today, I’m here to introduce a very special friend. I’ve landed here in Seongsu. It’s a day to experience Korean culture with our international Gyul friends who love Jeju Air. We’re going to experience Korean culture. Our special guest today is Nanako, visiting from Japan. We’ll show you must-visit hot spots in Seongsu and tasty food places too. We’ll show you everything today. Don’t miss out, our Japanese Gyul friends! Hello! Hi there! Can you please introduce yourself to the Gyul viewers meeting you for the first time? Hello! My name is Hirakawa Nanako. I majored in ballet for 11 years. Now I’m a student at Kookmin University. I’m very interested in Korean culture and the K-lifestyle, so I’m really excited about this trip! Hello! I’m Suyeon, working as a flight attendant at Jeju Air. Let me briefly introduce today’s course. First, we’ll take retro photos and visit a café known for its vibes. Then we’ll grab a snack, go to a famous restaurant, and I’ll show you my favorite spot with orange trumpet flowers. You can really look forward to today! Shall we get moving? This way? Eternal Log, Seongsu Seoul A self-photo studio capturing Seongsu’s unique vibe—using analog, not digital methods. It’s more than a selfie—it’s a record. There are lots of self-photo studios like this in Korea. But there’s a reason I chose Eternal Log. They brought in an original 1960s black-and-white analog photo booth from Europe. It’s the real deal. Have you tried this before? In Japan, we only have purikura, so this is totally new for me. What’s purikura? It’s like heavily filtered photo stickers, kind of edited. This kind of vintage vibe is my first time. I actually found this place to shoot a Reels with Nanako. In photo booths, speed and timing are everything. That’s the kind of vibe we’re going for. Alright, Nanako, you can go in first. Now! It took the picture! Five seconds is so quick. I think we messed that one up. Eternal Log’s vibe—photos print out after three minutes. This place is pretty. Want to look around? This has that vintage feel too. This one’s seriously so pretty. There’s something special about analog film. While we waited, our photo printed—our first memory. Hold on, do we pull it like this? Aww, you look super cute! Poor Nanako! We had them scan the photo too. Isn’t it so pretty? Is this a total success? It’s a success! I love it. Alright, on to the second stop! Seoul Seongsu 2: Ongundal A huge bakery café in Seongsu with exposed concrete and glass walls—it used to be a factory. It’s a quiet spot in busy Seongsu. Perfect for a little escape. They say the bakery here has tons of yummy stuff. Let’s chill and enjoy some treats. Wow, that looks super delicious! You can even see them making the pastries. A feast for both your eyes and mouth. How are Korean cafes different from ones in Japan? First off, there are so many cafes in Korea. Way more than in Japan, for sure. And such a wide variety. Where do people usually go in Osaka for cafés? If you’re from Osaka, probably Umeda or Dotonbori. Yeah, those are popular. So if you like Umeda or Dotonbori, you’d probably like Seongsu too. Totally. I think they’d love it. There’s always some kind of popup happening in Seongsu. Nanako-san, have you tried something like this before? Protein. I think I tried it once. Really? Since we found it, shall we check it out? Since we found it, should we go try? Sure! Looks like we just need to collect stamps like this. Let’s get the stamps and claim our prize! Joining the official popup mission. Wow, want to try? Shall we? Yes, yes! Should I go first? Start! Okay, that’s it. Nanako, what is this? You only got one! Start! Suyeon, the natural gamer. You got a whole bunch! Directors, I’ll give you one each! Have you ever done weight training? A little bit, a long time ago. You have? I learned a bit. You know, people always ask how much you can lift on the big three. Do they talk about stuff like that here too? Barbell lifting that brings out your competitive side. Should I try? I’ll give it a go. She naturally gets into proper form. You already— Can you lift this? But Nanako looks really exhausted. It’s too heavy! Too heavy? Give it a try ㅠ Suyeon lifts it effortlessly. Guess I’m not that strong, everyone… Flight attendants are strong, you know! Nanako, by the way, there’s something we have to eat here in Seongsu. A must-try in Seongsu— Seoul Seongsu 3: Candy Apple
A specialty candied apple shop famous in Shibuya and Daikanyama, Japan. Juicy apples with a sweet crunchy glaze. Are those candy apples? You said you eat them a lot back home, right? Oh yeah! We eat them a lot at summer festivals in Japan. Shall we go in? What’s the most popular one? The classic choice: plain, perfect for first-timers. Nanako plays it safe with the plain one. Suyeon picks the matcha flavor—staff recommendation. The candy apples look so pretty! Thank you! They’re so cute! I’m usually not a big fan of tanghulu… But this one’s actually really good! So if you visit Seongsu, You’ll get to experience both Korean and Japanese vibes. All of our Gyul friends have to visit! Next up, I want to introduce a place that… When you search “Seongsu” online, This place pops up the most. It’s got exhibitions, cafes, props, even clothing shops— All in one spot! It’s a multi-cultural space. Seoul Seongsu 4: LCDC
A cultural complex with cafés, curated shops, designer goods, and even a rooftop bar—perfect for spending the whole day. Nanako, do you like shopping for clothes? Yes! I really love it! Then let’s figure out your style here! All the clothes look cute. What color do you like the most? If it’s clothes, I go for black or white. Those shoes were so interesting earlier. They looked like bugs! Ballet-major Nanako is in love with the trendy “balletcore” look. We checked out clothes on the 2nd floor— And now on the 3rd floor, each room has a different brand inside. So you can explore lots of brands all in one place. That’s a huge advantage here. Browsing some eye-catching items So pretty Seriously, it’s really pretty It actually smells like lemon I can smell lemon I love stuff like this They made it out of leftover soap What’s leftover soap? You know how soap gets smaller as you use it? And it gets hard to use when it’s that small So they gather them and make a big one again Nanako, how was your visit to LCDC? What did you think? It was so fun being able to enjoy everything all at once Nanako, we’ve been walking around all day Aren’t you hungry? Yes, I’m starving actually Then let’s go to this place in Seongsu Koreans line up like crazy there It’s super popular Wanna go try it? Sounds good I really wanted to bring you to the most famous place in Seongsu Been waiting for this It’s usually super hard to get permission to film here But luckily the owner is a friend of our captain So they kindly gave us permission to shoot today And the menu I prepared is… Seoul Seongsu 5’s famous pork backbone stew
Soft meat, clean broth, handmade sujebi, and fried rice! Also fun to dip in spicy chili-onion sauce. Highly recommended for a hearty meal or hangover cure! I love this and have been waiting for it Let’s dig in together Finally, mealtime starts
