😀 The man at the entrance just said— head straight down for about 4 minutes— you’ll reach the Lee Ufan Museum. Actually, there are other attractions along the way. Not sure if I can get a ticket— since I didn’t make a reservation. This patch of land is beautiful too. Just visited the Lee Ufan Museum. It mainly features these pieces. “The Correspondence of Space” and “Silence Between.” But it’s all in the eye of the beholder. If you’re willing to spend time— and stay in there for a while— your inner dialogue— the thoughts in your mind— start to quiet down. It’s quite a magical feeling. Entry fee— online purchase is ¥1400— on-site purchase is ¥1500. I think both Chichu and Lee Ufan Museums— are really worth visiting. A giant trash bin. The sign shows who designed it. This is the artist behind the creation. Up ahead is a park called “Labyrinth of Sakura.” But since there are no cherry blossoms— we can skip it. Next attraction— requires climbing a steep slope—but it’s not long. It says this is site number 36. Probably part of the “Mini-Pilgrimage.” Fudō Myō-ō. Can’t see it clearly. That boat is over there. It’s sealed off inside. Now heading to Yayoi Kusama’s Yellow Pumpkin. But this road— is really steep. Wonder if we’ll have to backtrack the same way. After leaving the parking area— it’s all downhill. About 700 meters to go. Be careful—cars might dart out around corners. Don’t forget to check those convex mirrors. After parking, I saw it— Ebisu Shrine’s torii gate. Up ahead is Yayoi Kusama’s famous Yellow Pumpkin. Lots of people queuing for photos. Since I came solo, no need for selfies. Now cycling into a little village. I plan to catch the 2:20 ferry back. Otherwise I’ll have to wait until 5. Lining up to photograph the pumpkin took quite a while. If I’d gone straight back from the pumpkin, there’s a big slope— no way I’d make it in time. So I’m taking another village route back instead. Lots of guesthouses along the way. Might be helpful if you’re island hopping. After the uphill, it’s downhill time again. Not sure if this place is a school. If you’re not cycling and just walking— you’d spend the whole day on this island. Bike is returned—feels good. Before you know it, we’re already back on the ferry. Now departing—just left the pier. After an hour-long ride, we’re back at Takamatsu Port. Current time: 3:20 PM. Still enough time to visit Takamatsu Castle—it closes at 5. After disembarking, you can cross this bridge. 😂
