Kishu/Shirahama Onsen Musashi Hello! This is Hozuki. This time’s travelogue is a trip to Shirahama Onsen in Wakayama Prefecture (1 night and 2 days)! This time, I would like to stay at the inn in Shirahama Onsen, “Kishu Shirahama Onsen Musashi”! Shirahama-cho, Nishimuro-gun, Wakayama Prefecture, where Musashi-san is located, is about a two-hour drive from Osaka. You can also take the “Shirahama Onsen Shuttle Bus” from Shirahama Station! (No reservation required, first come, first served) You will receive a welcome drink at check-in, and Musashi-san is near Shirara Beach and Engetsu Island, and the buffet we are proud of is super luxurious! Seafood, Japanese Black Beef Steak, and Kueh Nabe! Musashi’s own hot spring water, Saimeiyu and Suzushiyu, were also wonderful! And you can have meat soup for dinner! The breakfast was delicious, including the seafood musashi bowl! Including points and coupons, the price is just over 11,000 yen for one person! I also visited Sandanbeki in Shirahama and Kimiidera in Wakayama City, so I would like to introduce them to you. As usual, I took the Kinki Expressway, entered the Hanwa Expressway , headed towards Shirahama, took the Kamitonda exit, and headed to my hotel for the day, but first, let’s do the sightseeing part! About 5 minutes by car from today’s hotel… I came to Sandanbebe, a scenic spot in Wakayama! This is a cave that lies on a cliff about 60 meters high! I haven’t been there yet and wanted to come! The entrance fee is 1,500 yen, which is a little expensive, because you have to go down the elevator! As soon as you get off the elevator, you’ll find a cave! And the sea! It has a mysterious feel and the sound of the waves is amazing! The rocks that can be seen at the back of the cave are amazing! A rock with 10 statues! The one on top definitely looks like a sphinx! There is also a shrine inside the cave, where Japan’s largest deity Muro Daibenzaiten is enshrined! There are also Bishamonten and Daikokuten! This cave is said to have been a cave for the Kumano Navy to hide their ships, and has been in use since the Genpei War! There was a restored hut as a resting place, a mysterious squirting rock, and so much more to see! And one more place. After climbing a very narrow path, we arrived at Kimiidera Temple in Wakayama City! There are three famous waters at Kimiidera: the water that brings happiness, the auspicious water, the water that eliminates sins and disorders, the pure water, and the water that promotes health and longevity, Yangliu water! I wonder if the most important thing is a long and healthy life lol Then let’s pray at the main hall!
