[4K] 🌸#吉野山 千本桜巡り2025🥰🌸 絶景ポイント完全ガイド/ #花矢倉展望台 #高城山展望台 #水分神社 #一目千本 #吉水神社

English & 中文 subtitles available❣️ In the previous video, we arrived at Kintetsu Yoshino Station, took the ropeway, walked to Chikurin-in Bus Stop「竹林院」, and rode a bus to Oku-Senbon 奥千本. Now, we’re walking from Oku-Senbon「奥千本」 to Shimo-Senbon「下千本」, visiting must-see cherry blossom spots along the way! 🌸✨ We start at Oku-Senbon-guchi Bus Stop 奥千本口. This is also the entrance to Kinpu Shrine 金峯神社. The slope to the shrine is lined with over 100 Somei Yoshino cherry trees! The cherry blossoms here are in full bloom! 🌸✨ Can I make it…? It’s too risky to go further… I might fall! 😨 Coming down is a bit scary, lol. Made it safely! 😮‍💨😮‍💨 Heading back to the Shugyo Gate 修行門 and then to the observation deck! Going down the path under the torii gate. It gets super narrow when cars pass! 😱 A lot of people are coming up, too. しGoing downhill for a while—nice and easy! 🤩👍 It’s about a 10-minute walk to the observation deck. We’ve reached the bus stop below it! But… no buses operate from here. 😅 Time for a long uphill walk! This last climb is tough… lol. Let’s explore around the observation deck. Everyone’s busy capturing the cherry blossoms. 📷 Can you see the Shugyo Gate from here? A breathtaking, picture-perfect view! Some people are enjoying lunch, too. 🍱 Let’s head into the observation deck! Deeper inside, there’s a cherry blossom viewing platform! 🌸 Mountains and cherry blossoms—what a perfect match! Some petals have fallen already, but it’s still stunning. 😌 This steep path is making my legs shake… Back at the observation deck bus stop! Now, we go straight ahead! Going downhill. It’s a 15-minute walk to Suibun Shrine. Here’s a restroom break spot! 💁 If you see this view, you’re close to Suibun Shrine! But first… I’m thirsty. Got an Iemon Japanese Green Tea 伊右衛門 for 170 yen! 🍵 A dragon at the purification fountain! 🐉 Let’s go inside. From the corridor, you can see a huge weeping cherry tree. It feels like being surrounded by cherry blossoms! ✨ In July 2004, this area was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site:
“Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range.” ✨ Also known as the “Child Guardian Shrine,” this place is dedicated to the deity of safe childbirth and fertility. Many people visit to pray for these blessings. Leaving an offering at the owl statue before heading out! 🖐🖐 Wow, the cherry blossoms were amazing! ✨🌸✨ As expected of Yoshino—so many Chinese tourists here, lol. 350m to Hanayakura, about a 7-minute walk. Such cute pink blossoms! 🌸 There are some restaurants along the way. The road is flat, so this part is easy! 👍 Arrived at Hanayakura Observatory! ✨ From here, you get the best panoramic view of Yoshino’s cherry blossoms! Let’s go further up. Luckily, it’s a gentle slope this time. 😊 Here’s Komori Chaya「子守茶屋」, a teahouse famous for shiitake rice! ♥ On both sides of the observation deck, there are tatami seating areas. Let’s check out the view from Kamisenbon! At 700m above sea level, this spot offers breathtaking views of Yoshino, Mt. Kongō, and Mt. Katsuragi. There are benches behind the viewing area for resting. This was once a fortress for Prince Moriyoshi during the Genkō War「元弘の乱」! Someone is painting nearby! The cherry blossom view from the tatami seats must be stunning. Let’s see what’s inside the teahouse! They have hot meals and snacks. 😉 Even fruit punch with kudzu jelly! On to the next spot! Going down, then turning left. It takes just 1–2 minutes. The Sakura Bloom Project is an environmental initiative by Itochu Urban Community. They planted and maintain cherry trees on about 600 tsubo (2,000 square meters) of Kamisenbon. This area, “Itochu Urban Community Forest,” is carefully preserved so the cherry blossoms can thrive. This slope is quite steep, lol. Let’s head to the next stop! Another gorgeous view from here! ✨ Lots of winding curves on this path. Let’s enjoy the cherry blossoms as we descend. Yet another twisty turn! lol My legs are getting tired now… Time to head back to the bus stop! There’s a shop along the way. A great place to grab a drink and take a break! ✨ 15 minutes left to Chikurin-in Bus Stop. Found another restaurant! This one serves Yoshino’s famous kudzu desserts. さAlmost at Chikurin-in Bus Stop! It’s nearly 4 PM… Looks like there are no more buses to Oku-Senbon. 😢 Next stop: Naka Senbon! On the way, there’s a temple said to be built by Prince Shōtoku. The garden, “Chikurin-in Gunpō-en,” was designed by Sen no Rikyū and is one of Yamato’s three great gardens. From here, it’s about a 9-minute downhill walk. On your left, you’ll see “Hayashi Tofu Shop” and some souvenir stores. We’re almost at Naka Senbon! We’ve reached the “Katte Shrine” bus stop! This area is packed with great restaurants! 😄😄 Time to explore a little! Udon, soba, and even kudzu udon… Everything looks delicious! Nara’s famous “Kaki no Ha Sushi” (Persimmon Leaf Sushi)! Where should I eat…? A Yoshino specialty! “Yamato Honpo,” a long-standing shop selling homemade chirimen-sansho (dried young sardines with Japanese pepper) and mountain vegetable tsukudani. Pickled goodies! They look so tasty! 😍 And then… Wait, they have free samples of Nara-zuke?! Tried it—and it was delicious! 🥰 Thank you! 🙏 What do they sell here? Yoshino’s famous kudzu sweets! Such a cute design! 😍 Right ahead is the “Yoshino-kan” inn. Next door, there’s a historic ryokan that operated for 90 years,
known for its open-air bath with a stunning view of Mount Yoshino. Sadly, it has now closed. 😪 Across the street, you’ll find the famous “Fujii Risaburō Pharmacy.” Locals all know this place! It’s the only specialty store for “Fujii Daranisuke Pills” in all of Yoshino. Lucky me! They gave me a sample of Daranisuke Pills! This herbal digestive medicine has been made the same way for 1,300 years. It’s not just for stomach issues—it’s a multi-purpose remedy! Check out the giant “Three-Legged Frog” at the entrance!
It’s been here since the Edo period. Like the Yatagarasu (sacred crow), it has one leg balancing at the back,
while the two front legs gather fortune. Daranisuke was discovered by monks during their training and has been cherished by Shugendō practitioners ever since. They let me take a peek inside the shop! Old tools used for kneading medicinal herbs are on display here. The roof has an elegant “Karahafu” curved design—definitely worth a look! They even have English and Chinese explanations for Daranisuke! A bottle of “Fujii Daranisuke Pills” (1,980 pills, 99 doses) costs around ¥2,700. If you visit Yoshino, be sure to stop by! 😄 What a fascinating shop! Next, we’re heading to Yoshino’s highlight:
Yoshimizu Shrine and the iconic “Hitome Senbon!” It’s just a short walk from the pharmacy. Here we are at the entrance torii gate! The path starts downhill… … but it’s longer than expected! Just when you think it’s all downhill,
there’s a steep climb at the end. 😅😅 We made it! Yoshimizu Shrine was founded by En no Gyōja during Emperor Tenmu’s reign (673-686 AD). Just inside to the right, there’s a free cherry blossom viewing spot! It offers a panoramic view of both Naka Senbon and Kami Senbon cherry blossoms. ✨ Honestly, you don’t even need to climb further—
the view here is already breathtaking! 🌸✨ The view known as “Hitome Senbon” is also called “Hitome Jūnen” (Ten More Years in One Glance). They say seeing this scenery adds ten years to your life! Even Toyotomi Hideyoshi is said to have enjoyed cherry blossom viewing here. Since this was once Emperor Go-Daigo’s residence, it later became a shrine. The garden has such a charming, traditional vibe! ✨ Alright, on to the next spot! Going downhill was fine, but this final uphill stretch is tough! 😱 lol Just to the right after climbing up… a shop catches my eye! A super cute shop specializing in kuzukiri (kudzu noodles)! 😍 I’m feeling hungry—let’s eat here! Yasokichi has been making Yoshino kudzu since 1851. Here, you can try kudzu sweets, kudzu tea, kudzu mochi, and kuzukiri! You can pay with PayPay, and they bring the food to your table. I ordered their signature kuzukiri, “Yoshino Tenjin.” The back seating area is quite spacious! Let’s sit outside on the terrace. Wow! You can see cherry blossoms from here too! 🌸 Eating while enjoying this view? Absolutely perfect! 🥰 Here comes the kuzukiri! 880 yen for this? Totally worth it! “Yoshino Tenjin” is made with pure Yoshino kudzu from Yasokichi and prepared fresh after ordering. That means you get to enjoy it at its best—fresh and chewy! 🥹🥹 Even though I ordered just the kuzukiri… It comes with kudzu sweets 葛菓子, brown sugar syrup,、 and even hojicha (roasted green tea)! They also provide chopsticks and a thick hand towel! Alright, time to dig in while soaking in the view! 😋 First up, the kuzukiri! Look at this texture—so bouncy! Dipping it into the rich syrup… It coats the noodles perfectly! Let’s eat! 😋😋 The syrup is incredibly rich and flavorful! It looked like a small portion at first, but it’s actually quite filling! 👍👍 Finishing up with the kudzu sweet! ★ It melts in your mouth—so smooth! Not too sweet, just right! I love it! I had a little chat with the staff about the shop. Yasokichi makes its own kudzu products and even sells them nationwide! ✨ The owner’s son (?) came by to collect the dishes! Apparently, Yoshino is full of winding roads! There’s a bus stop nearby that goes straight to the station! Before I knew it, we ended up chatting until closing time! 😂 First time trying Yoshino Kudzu—so good, I’m hooked! 😆 If you haven’t had it yet, you gotta try it! Walked a bit… and look! The conch shell from the samurai parade earlier! 😂 Wait… do they actually sell these? Alright, time to take the ropeway back to Yoshino Station! At this hour, it’s almost empty! 😊 The way to the ropeway station is all downhill—takes about 15 min to get there. Got my ropeway ticket! ¥450. The friendly staff helped me buy it again. 😂 Catching the last ride at 5:50 PM! Gotta hurry!! 🏃💨 Run!! 🏃💨 Made it to the last ride! 😌😌 Goodbye, Yoshino Mountain! 👋👋 The ride back is packed! 😂 That house window looks like a face… 👀 Almost there! Today’s ride was in a cherry blossom-themed ropeway! 🌸 Heading to Kintetsu Yoshino Station now. Oh! The food stalls are open! That grilled skewer looks amazing! Sakura-colored soft serve?! Gotta try that! 🍦 Coin lockers are on the left side of Yoshino Station. Even big suitcases fit! Super convenient! And nearby… There’s a tourist info center! Open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Might not be staffed right now, though. 😂 But the booth next door is open! 😉 Look at this cute pink mailbox outside! 😍😍 Alright, time to head back to Osaka! Planning to take the 6:37 PM express train (the red circle one). Let’s head to the platform! The express train goes straight to Abenobashi—no transfers needed! A kind foreigner gave up their seat for me. 😅 There aren’t many seats inside, so if you have to wait long, it’s better to sit outside the station. More seats there! Here comes the express train! Since this is the first station, it’s totally empty! 👍👍 Wow, Yoshino Mountain was amazing in so many ways! 🌸 But man… I’m exhausted. 😵‍💫😵‍💫 Next time, I need to get some real sleep before coming. 🤭 Next up: Kyoto’s Jonangu Shrine—famous for its Plum & Camellia Festival! It starts in mid-February! 150 weeping plum trees & 400 camellias!
I’ll share how to get there & what to see. Stay tuned! ♥
