【箱根】春・まったり旅・前編/エクシブ箱根離宮に宿泊【温泉】TRIP TO HAKONE ONSEN

ALOHA! It’s Sakurai♪ This time, I went around Hakone in spring. I’ll be sending you two videos, one about lodging and sightseeing, in the first part of this video. In the first part, I’ll be introducing you to a room tour, a stroll around the area, and gourmet food. Please watch until the end. This time, I’m traveling by car. I got on the highway and had lunch at a service area on the way. Since it’s early for dinner, I’ll have a light ramen . The pork bone soup with garlic was very delicious♪ I’ve come to the Hakone Yumoto area. If you’re staying near Hakone Yumoto Station, the train is convenient, isn’t it? It’s also nice to take a leisurely train trip on the Romance Car ♪ There are souvenir shops and restaurants around the station. In Hakone Yumoto, I recommend the soba restaurant “Hatsuhana” and
the Japanese confectionery shop “Chimoto”, which is famous for its yumomochi ♪ You can see the “Hakone Cave”, which was closed to traffic in 2014. It was built in 1931 to prevent rockfalls on the old National Route 1. It is also famous for being on the course of the Hakone Ekiden . We cross the Hayakawa River and head to Miyanoshita. This is where we are staying today, the “Xive Hakone Rikyu”. It started to rain a little when we arrived . From the lobby, you can see the mountains of Hakone. Let’s head to our room first. This time, we are in a room in Building 1. The interior is chic and calm. Let’s start with a room tour. This is a large-grade two-bedroom room. When you open the door, you will find a long corridor and a toilet right there. It’s very spacious. Continue down the corridor and you will find a full-length mirror up to the ceiling and a bathroom on the left . It’s nice that there is a cart to put your towels on . There are two sinks, which is also convenient. There was a TV in the bathroom. We didn’t use the bath in the room because there was a hot spring , but it was a size that seemed spacious enough. At the end of the corridor is the living room . You can wear these towel slippers to the hot spring. There was a couch where you can relax. ♪ During the day, you can relax while looking at the view outside ★ The sofa and furnishings in the room are all
in calm colors. There is a “Hakone Boro” snack for tea and snacks. There is a refrigerator inside the lower door, and when you open the upper door , there is an electric kettle. And this is the first bedroom. The mattress is just the right firmness. The room wear is a shirt dress type. There is also a standing mirror for makeup. There is a safety deposit box in the closet. There is an outlet next to the pillow, so you can charge your smartphone here . And when I opened the window… I could see the cherry blossoms in full bloom and the Fujiya Hotel buildings in front of me
! It was a really wonderful view, like I had traveled back in time. Let’s take a look at the other bedroom . This one is more compact, but it is equipped with a TV, closet, desk, mirror, etc. In addition, this room has a balcony , so you can enjoy the outside air and the open view. At night, the atmosphere becomes more calm. I’m going to take a short walk around the area before dinner. The cherry blossoms in spring were lovely, but they may be beautiful in the autumn leaves too. There is a Lawson right in front of the store. Please note that this store is open until 10pm! This area is lined with retro buildings
reminiscent of the Taisho era , creating a very nice atmosphere. You can see the accommodation from outside. There was a very cute cafe. I was interested in the sweets, but I gave up because I didn’t have much time until dinner . I wanted to stop by for a bit. Opposite is the Fujiya Hotel, which was founded in 1878. Many of the magnificent buildings that symbolize Hakone are registered tangible cultural properties . You can also use it for afternoon tea, but I’d like to stay there for a while someday. This is the boulangerie Picot attached to the Fujiya Hotel . There is also an eat-in space, so it seems like a good place for breakfast or tea time. The roads around here are not very wide, but buses and cars pass by constantly. On the right is the former Imperial Residence of the Fujiya Hotel. There is a restaurant called “Kikukaso” where they also serve Japanese-style afternoon tea by reservation only. I found a map of the “Miyanoshita Nostalgic Walking Path”. Next time I’d like to take my time to explore the buildings. I headed back the way I came. I went through an American diner earlier . This restaurant is open at night, which is rare on a street with few restaurants. The buffalo chicken plate looked delicious. On my way back , I bought some bread for dinner at “Picotte” attached to the Fujiya Hotel. The “An Brioche” is a sweet and salty accent of powdered sugar mixed with salt, and the brioche dough is filled with bean paste, making it a delicious treat that you will never get tired of. The Danish Orange has a refreshing sourness from the orange on top , and it was delicious enough to be good for breakfast . I returned to the hotel and took a dip in the hot spring before dinner . The hotel’s facility, “The Spa” “Mikazuki no Yu” has two different types of spring water, sodium chloride hot spring and simple hot spring, and it is said that if you soak in the bath until the crescent moon reflected in the bath becomes a full moon, any incurable disease will be cured. It is a historic hot spring . From the open-air bath, you can see the mountains in full view, and it was a wonderful hot spring with a very open feeling! Now, let’s head to dinner. This time, we will be eating at “Japanese Cuisine Hakone Kareki” and we ordered the original menu of Sannen Sour . There is a pickled plum inside . The soup is served in a lovely bowl. This golden grilled abalone contains shiitake mushrooms from Shuzenji and mugwort, and is a gentle and delicious dish. The Japanese beef sushi, which is grilled on the spot, goes very well with the green onion sauce . A gorgeous foie gras chawanmushi . There is a fire underneath, so you can eat it hot. Spiny lobster with miso sauce. This dish contains bamboo shoots and rape blossoms, which make you feel spring. Bamboo shoot rice was also served at the end. The cute dessert also included small strawberry daifuku. It was delicious ♪ After the meal, I soaked in the hot spring again and slept soundly. The next morning,
the weather was clear and the sky was blue ♪ It’s a nostalgic and beautiful view. Breakfast was also served in the same place as dinner. In the morning we could choose between rice or porridge, so I chose the porridge. After breakfast we had tea in the lounge. Finally, we enjoyed the hot springs one more time before leaving the inn. The hotel had a wonderful view and hot springs, and it was a relaxing place to stay. In the next video, the second part, we will mainly be showing sightseeing and gourmet food, such as sightseeing around Lake Ashi and the souvenir shops at Gotemba Outlet . See you in the next video ♪ MAHALO!
