Everyone LOVES This Iconic Japanese Landmark — But Is It Worth the Hype? (FUJI, JAPAN)

when you ask any large language model which landmark immediately comes to mind when you think of Japan they will all unanimously give you the same answer mau Fuji but why ask the AI that’s like asking a robot what its favorite color is or is it here’s a possible definition of an LLM or at least that’s what they told me human generated linguistic expressions huh it’s more like just scraping text from the internet okay maybe that’s a slight oversimplification but if thousands of people prompt the AI with the same question and its default answer is still malfuji there must be a reason behind it maybe it’s because the answers are not really its own but brewed from humanity’s collective data inputs and that got me wondering why Fuji I got to find out [Music] don’t let it always [Music] [Music] Our [Music] first stop was a tiny restaurant along the street right outside the station it was pretty good and most importantly quite affordable but we were a little bit too mesmerized by Fuji that we kind of forgot to get any footage of this place look at the view from inside [Music] i am [Music] parked our bikes and off we went this Fuji parameatic roadway is one that’s worth going up the cable car brings us up to an altitude of about 1,000 m and the view from up there was seriously breathtaking [Music] come on [Music] heat [Music] [Music] [Music] heat up [Music] here [Music] heat heat [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] yo at first I wasn’t planning to take any rides here they look a tad bit too scary but well I held the mindset that since I’m already here I got to at least try one you know what I mean and so I did [Music] my heart stopped bro [Music] thank you [Music] okay but in all honesty it wasn’t as bad as what someone on the internet might say quite a manageable hike if you ask me [Music] [Music] [Music] heat [Music] [Music] heat come [Music] on [Music] that’s a mom [Music]

This is Act 2 of my Japan travel series, two full days in Fuji, where adventure meets serenity. No tour guides, no fixed schedule. Just four electric bikes, open roads, and Mount Fuji always somewhere in the distance.

We rode through quiet towns, chased the horizon, and covered more ground than we probably should’ve, but it was worth every bit of tired legs and blistered feet. We caught the last swing ride at the Fuji Panoramic Ropeway just in time, stumbled upon fields of blue blooms at Oishi Park, and screamed our lungs out on the world-record-breaking Eejanaika coaster at Fuji-Q.

We climbed to the top of Arakurayama Sengen Park, wandered through the calm of Oshino Hakkai, and somehow, unbelievably, had clear skies almost the whole way through. (EXCEPT WHEN WE WERE AT THE TOP OF ARAKURAYAMA SENGEN PARK 😭😭)
