【草津】パッキング/喜びの湯高松宿泊記/湯畑

Good morning everyone. This is Mia. Thank you so much for watching. I’ve been studying English because I want to become a better speaker. but I realized that I’ve only been focusing on input and haven’t had many chances to actually speak. Since I believe, output is just as important. I thought, narrating my videos in English could be a great way to start. My English might be a little clumsy at times
and there may be parts that are hard to understand or incorrect but I’d really appreciate it if you could watch with a warm heart. I hope that when I look back on this video in the future, I’ll be able to see how much I’ve grown. If you notice any mistakes in my words or grammer, I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know in the comments. Tomorrow, I’m going on a trip to Kusatsu, so I’m starting to get ready. I’ll be bringing the bag My husband bought for me as a souvenir when he went to Vietnam for work. I usually pack pretty much the same items for every trip. In one pouch, I carry things like sanitary paths in case my period suddenly starts, a reusable shopping bag, tissues, a small trash bag, a towel, hand cream, and skincare items. Since the skincare products I use at home are large and heavy, I usually bring samples over travel-sized items when I travel. My skincare routine includes cleansing oil, face wash, toner, serum, and cream. In another pouch, I pack things like hair ties, hair oil, and a roll-on lotion that helps with underarm odor. I really like this product called Tenol Liquid. It’s compact but super effective. I also bring Kneipp hair oil to use in the morning when my hair feels dry. Some hotels, these days don’t provide toothbrushes, so I pack a troubled toothbrush and mouthwash too. When I get really tired and sleep deprived, I sometimes break out in hives, so I bring both oral medicine and cream prescribed by my dermatologist. Also, since this season can lead to sweating and discomfort in the intimate area, I bling a cream from my gynecologist to prevent itchines. Laterally, the sun has been strong, so I’m also bringing my Ray-Ban sunglasses. I had a hard time deciding what to wear, but I ended up choosing my favorite one-piece dress that I listened to about from a brand called Amaterasu. I like the brand’s owner, Reiko-san. And I always keep an eye on her Instagram for new items. The moment I saw the dress posted, I knew I wanted it and bought it right when it launched. It’s part of the dreamy series and combines a blouse and dress into one. It flutters your bust and makes your body look great overall. What I love about it is how feminine and flattering the silhouette is. I’ve always felt a bit insecure about not having a large bust, but this list makes that area look so nice. That I felt more confident wearing low-cut dresses. It’s easy to wear too. Just one piece and you’re ready to go. You can wear it culturally or to resort style places which I really like. We will be heading to Kusatsu from Shinjuku by limousine bus. But since we have a bit of time, I’ll make a quick breakfast. There were some Nagai-mo, (Japanese yam, )left in the fridge. So I’ll use that along with leftover shiitake mushrooms and onions to make a healthy Oconomi-yaki. (Savory pancake.) I had also chopped and frozen some leftover green onions before so I add those too. This mixing bowl I’m using is from Nitori. Nitori It’s really convenient and can be used for seven different things. I great the Naga-imo. Then add mentuyu sauce, an egg and some sesame seeds. I’m also adding a soup stock I always use called “Yasumaru Dashi” the best selling dashi in Shikoku. It really changes the flavor of Japanese dishes, makes it richer and more flavorful while bringing out the taste of the ingredients. For this Okonomiyaki, I’m using the all-purpose Japanese style dashi, Now I add some flour. Approximately 50g While the Okonomiyaki is cooking, it’s break time. I love watching YouTube and recently I’ve been into Grown vlog and Hamimommy. Both channels are so calming and relaxing to watch. I especially love Grownvlog. She shares videos on antique interiors, vintage fashion, and travel blogs around the Paris. I never get bored watching her. Ooooh 😅😅😅 Good boy🐶 but hey, I can use it one more time. Itadakimasu yum I love this cozy view. Time to go The limousine bus from Shinjuku to Kusatsu Onsen took about 5 hours and it was more tiring than expected But the lake we stopped at for a restroom break was really beautiful. We are staying at a ryokan called Yorokobi no Yado Takamatsu There is a free shuttle bus from Kusatsu Onsen bus terminal and it only took 5 minutes to get to the inn The lobby and stuff were both so welcoming. It’s a really lovely place. Checking was from 3 p.m. But we arrived at a bit early and left our luggage at the inn. Before working to the nearby sightseeing spot just 5 minutes away There were a lot of tourists but surprisingly most of them were Japanese This trip was all about relaxing at the inn, so after a short walk, we checked in and went to our room. We stayed in a room that included breakfast and dinner, plus a sauna, cold bath, and a semi-open air hot spring. The price for two people was about 120,000 yen. It’s about $770 Here’s the view from the living room, even though it’s a tourist area. It was a peaceful both day and night. The room had everything, running water, a kettle, paper towels, dishes and glasses. It’s very convenient. I forgot to film the fridge at first, but it had ice, two bottles each of water, Pocari Sweat and Oronamin C ,all free. They also provided complimentary coffee and tea, which was delicious. The bathroom was spacious enough for two people to get ready comfortably. They have prepared everything, a bathrobe, bath towels, socks, even the razor, and a comb. They provided skin care for both women and men, which was a nice touch. The shower worked great with great water pressure. Further in, there was a small counter with cups for drinking. Since you sweat a lot in the sauna, I mixed Pocari Sweat and Orenamin C to rehydrate. This mix is super tasty and I really recommend it. The sauna is located just past the shower room. And you can adjust the temperature from a panel in the dressing area. There’s also a sand timer inside that counts 15 minutes. Outside there’s an open air hot spring and a cold bath. The hot spring was pretty hot so I added a bit of water to make it just right. I had planned to fully immerse myself in the cold bath but it was so cold that I could only go in up to my thighs. There’s also a balcony when you can feel the fresh outdoor air. They even had bathrobes, so I relaxed on the sofa afterward. It felt amazing. This is the bedroom. It was so cozy and warm I slept so well. There was also an air purifier, heater any of course a safe for peace of mind. The Yukata came in small, middle, large and double large sizes. You could even fine tune the ambient lighting with a dial. The toilet was automatic with a built-in sound feature. It was spotless. For dinner, we asked for our preferred time at check-in. We were hungry, so we picked the earliest slot, 5pm. Here is the menu. The sashimi was fresh, and every dish was delicious. I chose beef sukiyaki, and my husband had bouillabaisse. All the stuff were non-Japanese, but they spoke fluent Japanese and server each course at just the right timing. The next morning After a long bus ride yesterday, I was completely wiped out. So after dinner, I soaked in the large public bath and fell asleep right away. The bath was spacious and had several types of open-air baths. Very relaxing. Though I did wish there was a sauna in public bath too. Breakfast was buffet style and just as delicious as dinner. We checked out at 10 am, left our luggage at the front desk and walk around the Yubatake area. I love the atmosphere of this place. We found a highly-rated cafe on Google Maps and went in. Cafe Tsuki no Kao I had a firm pudding and Earl Grey tea, whale my husband had iced tea and a scone. The price was bustling with both indoor and balcony seating. cafe Gluck This other cafe was also great. It was a privately run spot near our inn. They had just gotten a batch of large sweet strawberries. So we ordered a strawberry puffet and sandwich. The stuff was super friendly and it was the perfect snack before catching our return bus. The next morning When I got home, a package from the online store Temu had arrived. so I unboxed it. The first item was a unique little figurine. Since our wedding is coming up soon, I thought it would be perfect for our welcome area. After the wedding, I think it will make a nice decoration at home. The second item was a tissue box cover. We hadn’t been using one and when the tissue gets low, the whole plastic bag moves, which was a bit annoying. So I bought one for the bathroom and one for the living room. I was worried it might look cheap, but it’s surprisingly sturdy. I’m glad I bought it. The last item was an aroma candle. I love good scents, hand creams, perfumes, so I decided to try candles for the first time. The aroma is really strong and very relaxing. I originally bought it for our wedding welcome space, but I’m also looking forward to using it at home
after during wind down time. With a coupon, I got 4 items for just over 3000 yen.
Such a great deal. I used to keep our tissue box on this shelf
but the new one is a bit bigger. So now I’m looking for a new spot. It’s the best Thank you so much for watching until the end. I hope you enjoyed this video even just a little. See you in the next one.
