North Korea Border inside the DMZ 🇰🇷 S8 EP 116 | Pakistan to Japan Motorcycle Tour

My bottle is on the second number, so, I am on the second number. I like this thing here. You will see a lot of bullet marks on this train. This is the main entrance of the mosque. And the main hall of the mosque is here. Check it out, the dinner is being served here. Assalam-o-Alekum everyone and welcome back to the channel from DMZ. Which is called Demilitarized Zone. And this is the border of South and North Korea. I left Seoul at 6:15 am. And reached here after a one hour drive. Today I have planned to show you this area. I will tell you the history of North and South Korea. After that I will go back to Seoul. I will explore some things there. So let’s try that today’s vlog is also interesting for us. I have Tayyab with me today. He drove from there and brought us here. He has already been here once or twice. So he knew everything. That’s why he said let’s leave early in the morning. Rest I will show you this area. A limited number of people are allowed here. Because this is a guided tour. There is not much crowd at this time. People are coming gradually. This is the main building in front of me. And there are some cafes here. Let’s take you inside. I will show you from inside and up towards the cafe. Because we haven’t had breakfast yet. Before or after coming here, you have to register online. People are already registering. We did it online. People have started putting bottles here. They have put it here because of the numbering. The one whose bottle is first has the first number in his line. And our bottle is on the second number. So we have a second number in line. I like this thing here. There is no need to stand here. You just have to put something here. Tayyab knew. He put the bottle here as soon as he came here. We should perhaps mention that how many of us are here. Yes This is the cafe here. It is crowded. Let’s see if we can get something. We can have coffee and snacks. This is our breakfast here. I think 90% of the people here are having this. There is cappuccino. He has vanilla latte. And we have bagels here. You can get bagels or cupcakes here. And there is cheese with it. This is cheese bagel. Before showing you the border area, I would like to tell you the history of North and South Korea. Because they have always been the same country. They are the same kind of people. Until 1945, when Japan was defeated in World War II, then North and South Korea were formed. The history is like this. In World War II, Germany, Japan and Italy were allies. Against them were, the US, Russia and the rest of Europe, especially France and UK. When Germany and Japan were defeated in World War II, two parts of Germany were divided. East and West Germany. East went to Russia. West was controlled by the US and the rest of Europe. When Japan’s rule ended in Korea, it ended into two parts. North Korea and South Korea. North Korea went to Russia. South Korea went to the US. Communism came to North Korea. Capitalism and the democratic system came here. Two parts were formed. People didn’t want it. Because the external powers had decided, two parts were formed. In 1950, there was a war between North and South Korea. The war lasted for three years. It is still said that the two countries are in constant war. Because there is no peace treaty between them. This area is demilitarized. Tourists can come here and see. There are some areas where tourists take tours. Let’s see what we can see here. Let me show you this area. There is a line of control. You can see South Korea over there. North Korea is behind the mountain. There is a river section. The main river is passing through here. It divides North and South. This bridge used to connect North and South Korea. It was destroyed during the war. North Korea destroyed it. I can see a car going to a village. There is a rice field in the middle. People can go here. It is closed for tourists. Locals own rice fields here. There are some other things here. You can see a big bell here. It is called the peace bell. It is closed. There is a small park here. Let’s see if I can find something interesting here. There are a lot of tourists here. They have made small monuments here. They are telling the history here. You can see a railway track here. It used to connect North and South Korea. I can see the same bridge that I showed you earlier. It was destroyed during the war. Let’s go there. I think there is a train there. You can see a lot of bullet marks on this train. It was targeted during the Korean war. North Korea bombed it a lot. They tried to stop the bullets. They brought it here to show the historical value. There is a small bridge with this bridge. As that was destroyed during the war. This bridge was rebuilt later. The soldiers captured by North Korea were sent back to South Korea through this bridge. We can’t go up. There is a small bridge here. The road is blocked. The war between North and South Korea started in 1950. When North Korea captured almost all of South Korea. They had reached Busan. United Nations and US helped South Korea. North Korean army was sent back. The war ended in 1953. Russia was helping North Korea. They didn’t send troops but China. Our bottle has done a good job. People have put anything here. People have put their files here. Tour companies have come here to reserve their places. As soon as this booth opens, people will line up here. We are on the second number. We have got our bus ticket. Finally, we took a 20 minute bus to reach the DMC’s area. Where we will show you the tunnels and other areas. Let’s see which places we can capture. There are a lot of restrictions here. For example, we couldn’t capture much from the bus. It was not allowed. We have seen the tunnels. You have to go 500 meters deep to see the actual tunnels. North Korea had made multiple tunnels to capture Seoul. When a soldier left North Korea and came to South Korea, he gave them this information. Later, this tunnel was discovered. North Korea says that they have made these tunnels. There is a coal mine here. When South Korea saw these tunnels, they said that approximately 30,000 soldiers can pass through these tunnels in an hour. They found out that these tunnels were made to invade South Korea. They have closed these tunnels. They have built a concrete wall 170 meters proximal to North Korea. Tourists can go and see. Unfortunately, no one can film inside. That’s why I couldn’t capture any footage from inside. How was your experience? It was good. The tunnels were not that special. It was similar to other tunnels. There are a lot of restrictions on videography here. The building we are sitting in is built on top of a mountain. You can get a great view of North Korea from here. But no footage is allowed. At the beginning of the video, I told you that Russia and the US were allies in World War II. They had an agreement. They didn’t like each other. Since they had a common enemy, they cooperated with each other to defeat the enemy. As soon as Hitler and Japan were defeated, a rivalry started between them. A Cold War started. After that, there was a division between North and South Korea. Germany was divided. People didn’t want this. But the influence of politics and other countries created this division. As you can see today, Germany is united. But North and South Korea could never unite. Thousands of people used to flee from here. But now it is difficult. They try to go to China. They go from China to Vietnam or Laos and then to South Korea. South Koreans accept North Koreans and say that they are their own citizens. Let’s sit here for a while and have a drink. After that, we will go back to Seoul. We are back in Seoul. I am in a very old and historical area. You can feel the vibe here. The houses you see here are very different from modern Seoul. There is a palace on my left. Unfortunately, it is closed today. So I can’t show it to you from inside. I visited it when I came here in 2016 or 2017. You can say that this is the best and most beautiful street so far. But today everything is closed. There is no one here. Now I am in Itaewon. You can say that this is one of the most vibrant areas in Seoul. You will find many different communities here. Mostly immigrants. You can find restaurants and cafes here. You can try different cuisines. Especially if you want to eat Halal food. You will have multiple options in this area. You won’t find them anywhere else. You will find different activities here. For example, nightlife, during the day, shopping, etc. You will also find the presence of the Muslim community here. Now I am walking towards the mosque. So that I can show it to you. This is the main street outside the mosque. There is a Malaysian restaurant here. There is an Indian restaurant here. There is a Halal Korean restaurant here. There is a travel agency here. You can say that you will find different communities here. Along the main road, you will find Muslim restaurants and businesses. Pakistan Business Association Korea and Halal restaurant. This is a Pakistani restaurant. This is a Pakistani or Indian restaurant. You can try different types of food here. It is not crowded during the day. It gets crowded after 5 or 6 pm. There is a large Egyptian community in Uzbek, Middle Eastern and Arab countries. I can see more. This is the center of the Islamic community of Seoul and Korea. This mosque is called Bissar Seoul Mosque. It is a very big mosque. This is the entrance. You can see the main building of the mosque from here. You can see two large minarets in the front. The minarets at the back are small. You can see a blue dome in the middle. There is a parking on this side. You can see the main view from here. This is the main entrance of the mosque. This is the main hall of the mosque. You can see some rooms here. I can hear children’s voices. It seems like an Islamic school. I will show you the mosque from inside. You can see the parking lot crowded with people. There is a cafe here. Barakah cafe. If you want to rest, have a cup of coffee or eat something, there are a lot of facilities in this area. The mosque is very beautiful from inside. Especially when you enter the mosque, you get an idea of the architecture. The places I have visited so far in South Korea, Japan and Southeast Asia. The architecture here is very different. When immigrants come from other places, they bring their culture and architecture with them. They add a different and beautiful color to the community. You get to see a lot of interesting things because of that. You will see a vibrant blue and white color in the mosque. There is a beautiful hall ahead. There is a beautiful calligraphy on the pulpit. There is a different tile work. The dome in the middle is also very beautiful. Personally, I think it is one of the most beautiful mosques I have visited in these areas. I have visited the mosque in Tokyo. I have not shown it to you in my vlogs yet. I will show you that too. It is also a very beautiful mosque. Now it is time for prayer. Let’s pray and then we will leave. Check this out. They are serving us dinner. Let me tell you. Let him serve it properly. We have come to a traditional Korean restaurant. Korean BBQ is famous all over the world. We thought since we have come to Korea, we must not leave without eating BBQ. There is a restaurant in Gangnam. The meat you see here is actually lamb. It is imported from Australia. We have ordered this and kimchi soup with it. As you can see it is crowded. The tourists and those who want to try Halal Korean BBQ, there are very limited options. This is one of them. This time, the restaurant is full. Our food is almost ready. It is being prepared very quickly. They have kept this on top for air. And there are coals at the bottom. They have installed a very good smoke system. When you go to other places, they usually have electric plates at the bottom. They have kept proper coals at the bottom. Kimchi soup actually has vegetables. And it has cheese. He said this is spicy. It is good but a little spicy for me. I made a mistake. There is lamb in it too. This is not vegetarian. If you try this at any place, do ask them. They have added lamb in this. These are small pieces of lamb. Let’s start with our Korean BBQ. They have provided sweet chilli sauce and mustard sauce. and some other things. This is kimchi. Let’s start without mustard sauce. Australian meat is very good. Japan imports a lot of lamb from Australia. Let’s try the plain as well. Marinated is not much spicy. It has a very good taste. We have got 200 grams for 20,000 won… And another for 27,000 won. Marinated is 27,000 won. 20,000 won would be around 15 USD. You can say that you will pay 30 to 35 USD for 2 people. And that’s what you pay when you go to any good restaurant. Let’s enjoy our dinner. I haven’t tried one thing yet.. And that’s a taxi. Normally wherever I go, I try to use taxi along with public transport. It helps me figure out the prices. It will be around 7 to 8 km that I’m now covering with this Uber. I have calculated the prices. It will be around 10 USD. So you can say that taxis here are neither cheap nor expensive. It is in the middle. If you compare it with Japan, it is much cheaper. Taxi was very expensive there. If you compare it with other Southeast Asian countries, it will be a little expensive. But I think it is at a much reasonable price here. I have shown you a lot of places in Seoul. But this place is the most interesting one so far. Because I hardly saw any markets like this in Japan. There are restaurants all around. People are sitting outside and enjoying. It is a little hot right now. The temperature is around 30 to 32 degrees. These are mostly BBQ restaurants. This market is quite crowded. Especially if you come here between 7 to 10 in the night. I think this area is called Jonggui. I have seen it on the map. This is the local food street market. I actually liked this area at first. But what I’m now witnessing here… The way they are puking around after getting drunk… It is unbelievable. But anyway, this is normal in such areas where there are a lot of parties. It’s quite normal. This brings us to the end of this tour. Some people are cautiously looking around. The plan is that I will go back to Japan. Some more days… I will first reach Fukuoka and then ride towards Tokyo. There are a few places like Hiroshima. Those are really beautiful and I want to visit them. We will reach Tokyo soon. I will try to make sure that the remaining videos are even better. That’s all for today. I hope you liked the video. Remember me in your prayers. Don’t forget to like, subscribe and share. Allah Hafiz.
