[Music] open air museum Gashio Zukuri Minka and folklore park is an open air museum that recreates the mountain village scenery of Shurakuago in the past including nine buildings designated as important cultural properties by Guu Prefecture a total of 25 buildings are on display these birdings were used for a variety of purposes including private home storehouse rice mill house horse stables barns shrine and temple trip to Shurakawagago March 30th 2025 it’s springtime so I was expecting to see cherry blossom and clear sky at least then during our trip to Shurakuago from Nagoya while approaching Shidikawa we experienced snow on the way smiley face emoji we were not really prepared for the weather but because it was my first time to see snow I felt excited even if my jacket was not for snowy weather thanks to my umbrella umbrella emoji angelic face emoji we had a great time at Shitakawa though I wanted to stay a bit longer but because we needed to follow and went back to the bus on time we were not able to explore the village that much because it was snowing also so it’s kind of hard to move or walk from one place to another but overall we had fun with the snow a memorable trip to Japan thumbs up emoji such a memorable experience we didn’t expect that there’s still snow during our trip we enjoy a lot the Takayyama and Shurakaago experience and our tour guide Nancy is very accommodating very much recommended had a great experience here at Skurakawagago it has been our dream to visit this natural heritage it is so beautiful our driver is so good too and our guide ms Jenkang is very approachable and knowledgeable of the place we had a great time here red heart emoji we were not able to continue with the trip due to a snowstorm but we were informed in advance and they processed the refund immediately we tried another date and still made it to Shurocco ago it was definitely a magical experience romantic face emoji beautiful day trip value for money as compared to taking public transport there was enough time to walk around and eat our tour guide Amy was very helpful and knowledgeable allowing us to enjoy our trip to the fullest great guide informative but the tour might be a little fast you only have 1 to 2 hours on site it’s not enough time to have proper meal and explore the whole area but the place was spot-on looks surreal it was amazing the place is so nice and we even thought we won’t be able to continue the trip as there was a heavy snowfall the day before but luck was on our side and we were able to go thank you it was a great experience shurakawaga was a mustsea plus you also get to visit Takayyama to be honest there is not enough time to truly explore both stops but if you’re only in Japan for a few days then going on this tour will do to at least to get a glimpse of Takayyama and Shurakaago what also made me choose this tour is because it stops at the Shurakuago viewpoint amy our tour guide was amazing she gave us tips to maximize the short time we had on each stop many thanks to Amy and our driver also if you’re a nature lover this is really the best tour for you though two hours is not enough to roam at Shurako a go and heat a place but still a good experience and don’t forget to buy the pudding this is really helpful and the guide is accommodating although it will be best if the trip is full of Shuraku only but nonetheless it is a memorable experience the original itinerary was cancelled due to the snowstorm organizer gave us a choice to cancel or proceed with an alternative we proceeded and still enjoyed the tour this is a must- vvisit place in winter since the guide is not Korean you need to know a little English or Japanese to hear the meeting time carrot Takayyama 2 hours shurakaago 2 hours we had free time but Takayyama had enough time to eat lunch and tour and Shuraka Wagago was perfect if you just went to the observatory to take pictures we didn’t have time to buy anything to eat till the Shurakawa covered in snow thumbs up emoji this itinerary is perfect if one is visiting Nagoya
