Early Summer Escape to Toyama | A Relaxing Seaside Train Trip in Rural Japan | Japan Travel Vlog
Good morning everyone, this is Mona😊 Today I’m in Toyama Prefecture. This local atmosphere is exciting for me♡ Toyama Prefecture is located in the central north of the Japanese Archipelago. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces Toyama Bay to the north. Wow, it’s beautiful💙 It is an extremely attractive prefecture with rich nature and delicious seafood. I have arrived at Amaharashi Station. This is the first destination of this trip. Amaharashi Station means “the station where the rain clears.” The place name “Amaharashi” is said to have been born from a certain legend. It sounds so romantic. Let’s take a walk along Amaharashi Coast. A morning walk feels great because there are few people around. I can faintly see the Tateyama Mountain Range across Toyama Bay. Many historical figures have fallen in love with the view from here in the past. This is a roadside station along Amaharashi Coast. The pure white building stands out against the blue sea✨ The shop is lined with Doraemon (Japanese popular Anime) goods. Actually, this area is the hometown of the creator of Doraemon. There’s also a cafe with an ocean view. Let’s take a short break. On a hot day, I will want to drink a soda drink. Now, let’s go have an early lunch! I have arrived at Himi Fishing Port. The first floor is a fish market! It’s very lively. On the second floor’s dining hall, you can enjoy fresh seafood that was auctioned off at the fish market on the first floor. I’m so happy🥰 It’s so popular that there’s already a long line outside the dining hall. This area is famous for its winter yellowtail, so I would love to come back in the winter too. This is a place I have always wanted to visit. Since it’s in a remote location, I rented a car. It’s very quiet and surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere. Let’s worship. Here you can experience waterfall asceticism. It is said that being hit by the waterfall can wash away your desires. This is a hidden spot right next to the temple. The rocks and cliffs are almost entirely covered with moss. The beautiful scenery created by the stream and the precious moss forest. It’s really beautiful. Oh, it’s cold! It’s hard to leave, but I’m heading toward Toyama City. I have arrived in front of Toyama Station. Toyama City has many trams running around Toyama Station. There are various trams running, from retro to new one, and it’s very interesting to look at them. Now it’s time for a slightly luxurious dinner! If I’m in Toyama, I can’t go without sushi. Let’s start by ordering some silver-skinned fish. White shrimp in Toyama is in season at this time of year. Looks delicious♡ I splurged and ended up eating a lot. It’s cool at night and feels good. Let’s take a little walk. What a beautiful night view. Walking alone like this brings back memories of summer. It feels nostalgic, and just a little bit bittersweet. That’s what summer is like for me. I’m staying at a hotel near the station today. Good morning! Over there is a Starbucks Coffee that is said to be the most beautiful in the world. Apparently, Starbucks has a contest called the “Store Design Awards.” This shop became famous after winning the grand prize in a contest held in 2008. It’s a relaxing holiday♡ The greenery is beautiful. The atmosphere is different from last night. Now, let’s head to my next destination! Wow, what a bright and open space! Toyama has a history of developing glass craftsmanship. Toyama City is called as the “City of Glass.” This impressive building was designed by the world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma. Many glass works are on display inside the building. An exhibition is currently being held. You cannot enter the floors with red frames without a viewing ticket. I’ll be drawn in by the beauty😍 The delicate and unique glass works have an enchanting quality. This channel brings you unique travel experiences in Japan. 🌊 초여름의 도야마를 따라 달리는 바닷가 열차, 그 장면 하나하나가 마치 한 편의 시 같아요. 푸른 바다와 고요한 시골 풍경이 절묘하게 어우러지네요.
