hello everyone this is the first video in a long time so we back at Ora and last time we were here was for the Christmas market which was December 26 or something like that 2024 so we’re back here now in summer
sunny sunny weather
yeah and we brought
beautiful
we brought
Mu
our baby Mu
so it was uh what is it 67 km from where we live and she did really well to get here anyway so uh Mrs n’s got all this interesting information as always such a quaint beautiful little town with the Grand River running through it um it’s very well known for its limestone buildings and architecture and the gorge Okay so first stop Mrs n gorge
victoria Park
oh we got to go through Victoria Park to get to the gorge
yeah so
yeah so we’re going to go to the gorge first
for might as well and then from there we do the downtown instead the other way around okay let’s do this that’s the bridge you normally cross we spent some time down at the base just taking it all in jumping no jumping while we were there we actually saw someone highlining across the cliffs totally unexpected and pretty cool to watch [Music] i won’t do it [Music] quick bit of history the town was founded in the early 1800s by Scottish settlers a lot of the original buildings are still standing made of limestone and it gives the place a real sense of character after the gorge we wandered into downtown ora is the kind of place where you want to leave the car behind and explore on foot it’s not big but everything’s close together galleries little shops cafes and there’s a calm feel to it all [Music] for photos one of the best spots is the old iron foot bridge just off Metcov Street from there you get a clear view of the river with the stone buildings lining the bank it’s especially nice late in the day when the light hits just right there you go [Music] you ready [Music] we also found a great spot to eat a popular restaurant called Friendly Society warm atmosphere and really good food if you like quaint towns a bit of nature and a slowpaced afternoon is definitely worth checking out let us know in the comments if you’ve been and what you liked or suggest another Ontario town we should visit next thanks for watching and we’ll see you in the next one
