Hello, I’m Ichiro 😊 Today, I visited the Tsukahara Residence in Yamanakako Village for their open garden. June 22, 2025. The Tsukahara residence is located in a vacation home area in Yamanakako Village. First, hydrangeas welcomed us. Today is a sunny day in the middle of the rainy season, but the wind is blowing strongly.😅 A butterfly 😊 An open garden will be held on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from June 13 to 29 (admission: 500 yen). I moved to Fujikawaguchiko three years ago, and I look forward to visiting every year. This is my fourth time. The gardening accessories make for a picturesque scene. Let’s take a look at the main garden.😊 The garden, which has been carefully tended by Mr. and Mrs. Tsukahara, is called MF Garden, after the initials of their names, Michiko and Fumitaka. The couple started creating the garden in 2000. Mt. Fuji. Let’s first walk around the garden clockwise and then finish by viewing Mt. Fuji from the second floor of the building. Yamanakako Village is located at an altitude of 1,000 meters above sea level and is a popular summer resort with many vacation homes. However, growing roses in this place, where the temperature can drop to -20°C in winter, is very difficult. In winter, the couple spends two months piling soil around the base of each of their 300 rose bushes to protect them from the cold. I can picture the kind couple working together harmoniously. Today, the wife was showing guests around, while the husband was busy tending to the garden. Astrantia😃 Astrantia is rarely seen anywhere but high places like this.
