【2025大阪美食地圖】木津市場 vs 天滿市場,哪個才是大阪最強市場?
Good morning everyone I am Sharon from Fu7 Travel Osaka is known as the kitchen of the world It’s a food paradise Today we’re going to explore the food battle between two major markets If you have 10,000 yen Where would you choose to have a feast? Would it be the budget-friendly Tenma Market with lots of choices Or the professional wholesale Kizu Market with superior quality With the same budget at these two markets What kind of delicious food can we get? And I heard there are Michelin-recommended restaurants Let’s go explore! As soon as we arrived, we saw two seafood donburi shops The one on the left has a long queue The longest line Since you know I don’t like queuing I went to the shop next door instead We came around 8:30 And there was no queue at all From our first taste of the sashimi It’s actually very fresh The service is quick too But the shop is a bit cramped They have a platter that includes scallops The scallops here are different from what we eat in Taiwan The texture is different Because the sashimi-grade scallops in Taiwan Are softer But their scallops are kind of Crispy in texture I think the sea urchin taste Isn’t very premium quality Because I’ve had amazing sea urchin at Tsukiji Market before This sea urchin is just average You know the salmon roe in Japan It pops in your mouth The salmon roe bursts open Having this salmon donburi early in the morning Was definitely the right choice Since this is a market When you buy food here You usually have to eat standing Or by the roadside But the good thing about this place is They have a restaurant where you can dine inside And you can order hot miso soup Their miso soup is quite good Fresh fish miso soup With two large pieces of fresh fish The fish meat has a nice bounce And it’s only 440 yen Unlike Taiwan’s heavier and saltier taste This is light and subtle You can taste the natural sweetness of the fish But you might not know While we’re enjoying our meal here This bustling Kizu Market Almost disappeared from the map The Kizu Market you see today Was just a small fish market 300 years ago That served the royal family But one day suddenly The government ordered a change to A centrally controlled system Meaning each city could only have one market So all you small vendors Had to merge with us And if you couldn’t do that Sorry You’d have to close down So Kizu Market decided No, we must protect our market And started a protection campaign Becoming the largest private wholesale market Kizu Market doesn’t just sell vegetables and fish There are about 140 shops here From fresh ingredients to restaurants And I just saw a supermarket over there What’s special is on the second Saturday And last Saturday morning They have a morning market Saying I want to buy this tuna 10,000 yen, 20,000 yen Allowing regular people To experience the auction activities While the auction experience is interesting If you want to find bargains Come directly to the wholesale supermarket here They sell boxes of business-use products directly to you Even individual customers can buy loose items for personal consumption Or as souvenirs Turning to the stalls inside the market We see lots of strawberries But why is the price so different from the supermarket? The Kobayashi shop prices aren’t very cheap Because I just saw strawberries for over 400 yen at the supermarket And their selection today Isn’t very extensive There are all kinds of strawberries everywhere Maybe because it’s strawberry season now Though strawberries aren’t cheap But walk a few steps and you can smell the ocean Kizu Market is famous for its fresh seafood Here’s the interesting part Many stalls let you select your seafood on the spot Guaranteeing the freshest catch Each stall has its own number Let’s compare prices And make smart choices I’ll tell you later Which stall we bought from There’s a rest area here Whatever you buy in the market You can eat it here standing Right on the spot Oh, that’s nice They even sell drinks in the back When you’re sleepy in the morning You can have some sashimi here And drink some coffee After walking around We bought three items from the market Crab legs for 1,000 yen Octopus for 500 yen And 4 sweet shrimp for 1,000 yen When you buy raw food to eat here They’ll give you wasabi And soy sauce I think the soy sauce design is really good It’s shaped like a fish This design makes it easy to drip the soy sauce Without getting it all over your hands This is so delicious So fresh and sweet The crab has such a rich flavor And you can clearly taste its texture This is surprisingly good I underestimated these small crab legs So chewy When I bit into it I could hear that chewy sound in my teeth Wow, the octopus is so crisp It’s so fresh I found that the seafood in the market Is really fresh It feels like it was caught this morning They start selling the catch around 4-5 AM So it’s all from the freshest batch Really fresh, honestly Fresh sweet shrimp Add some soy sauce You drip it like this Like eye drops Be careful Don’t let children use it as eye drops After eating The seafood here is surprisingly fresh So actually I think The seafood bowl at the entrance Should we try it? I think it’s just okay It just has vinegared rice And chairs to sit on If you don’t mind standing outside to eat In the cold wind I recommend buying seafood inside the market You can choose what you want All kinds of seafood Since it’s almost 11:30 now The vendors are closing up Only the restaurants outside are still open I don’t recommend coming this late You should come around 7-8 AM To get the freshest seafood Experience the local vendors They’ll prepare it right in front of you And check out the catch Elderly people love checking out the catch Looking here and there “Oh, what’s this?” It’s quite interesting I think this is what visiting a market is all about The market is closed every Sunday And most Wednesdays Before you come Remember to check Their official calendar So you won’t come on a closed day Kizu Market is really delicious But how much have we spent so far? We still have 2,460 yen left Next I’ll take you to a budget-friendly supermarket nearby To turn this money into a feast for dinner At Kizu Market We spent 7,500 yen for two people We’re quite full So what about the remaining 2,500 yen? Let’s go to this local supermarket to see what we can buy and bring back for dinner Wow, the pork cutlet rice looks really thick Only 598 yen But we need to add tax 645 yen There are many different kinds of prepared foods And various types of fried foods This is only 429 yen Like this big box for 598 yen It’s also a seafood bowl Because it comes with vinegared rice The price with tax is 645 yen We plan to buy a Hokkaido milk bread Because we tried their white bread before It was super delicious 150 yen Chicken tamago yaki udon for 529 yen Planning to buy their gold award item It’s sold by weight You can choose smaller or larger portions With different prices I’ll pick a smaller one So we can try more variety I’ll take this one for 339 yen This supermarket is really popular among locals So the prices are quite reasonable Perfect for travelers to buy prepared foods Or fruits, it’s very convenient We spent 2,176 yen for dinner at the supermarket We ate from morning till night Spent a total of 9,716 yen Think the Kuromon Market tour ends here? There are actually many attractions nearby And they’re all within walking distance Perfect for a day trip with Kuromon Market About 10 minutes walk from the supermarket You’ll reach Namba Parks Namba Parks is an urban oasis shopping center With shops below And a lush rooftop garden above Combining nature, shopping, dining, and entertainment It’s a unique complex attraction in Osaka Next to Namba Parks is Nipponbashi Den-Den Town Osaka’s famous anime and electronics district Similar to Tokyo’s Akihabara Where you can experience Japan’s unique otaku culture Wow, there are cute maids on the street Promoting their businesses This advertisement uses 8-bit graphics Haha, so cute Oh, we saw an NPC Go talk to them They’ll give you a quest It’s the old Mario music and game So nostalgic Let’s see if there’s any nice merchandise If you buy this You’ll be a member of the Tokyo Manji Gang There’s a special Lawson near Nipponbashi The shopping bags are cute It opens up to become large When folded it looks like a small slime It’s a magnet I thought it was jelly That would be so cute if it was jelly Look at the queuing instructions below They’re using gaming symbols There’s a game sound effect playing inside Can everyone hear it? There’s even a sound effect when you leave Saw this sign design It caught my attention There’s someone collapsed With ramen spilled on the ground It says: “Help us” They’re recruiting staff So this is a recruitment advertisement So creative On the way to the subway station You’ll pass through Sennichimae Doguyasuji A treasure trove for cooking enthusiasts This kitchen tool street Sells all kinds of commercial equipment Like decorative lights Or advertising signs To takoyaki molds Pots, stoves, dishes They have it all Wow, there’s a specialty knife shop They used to sell samurai swords Now they’ve switched to kitchen knives Specialized for sashimi cutting Use this to cut sashimi The sashimi must be high-grade These knives are amazing They can even engrave a dragon on the blade Even butter knives are sophisticated They conduct heat Go directly to cut the harder refrigerated butter This street is highly recommended If you cook at home regularly Or want to buy kitchenware for mom It’s perfect to explore this street After seeing the one-day tour of Kuromon Market Do you know there’s another market in Osaka That locals absolutely love? What’s the difference from Kuromon Market? Osaka isn’t just a food paradise It has a cool nickname called “The Nation’s Kitchen” This morning we’ve come to Tenjin Market Which is the origin of this “Nation’s Kitchen” nickname Osaka’s rise to prominence Was mainly due to its well-developed And extensive waterway network At these waterway intersections Large trading centers gradually developed Tenjin Market is one of them And you know what? The famous Dotonbori You know the canal in front of Dotonbori? That’s a canal built during the Tokugawa period So canals were very important For Osaka’s development Can you think of A place in Taiwan That also developed because of canals? And rose to prominence? The answer is Dadaocheng Actually, when I just came out of the subway The buildings don’t look very modern like typical Japan Instead, it looks more like a local market Now in the morning I see locals coming here to shop Or dropping their kids off at kindergarten Yesterday we went to Kuromon Market Kuromon Market has higher prices At one restaurant in the morning We spent about 4-5 thousand yen So coming to Tenjin Market This local market We wonder if we can get better value And eat lots of good food with 10,000 yen Coming down we saw a fruit shop The fruit shop prices are quite reasonable This bag of bananas is only 192 yen Compared to the supermarket I visited yesterday The price is even a bit cheaper They also have strawberries here I’m not sure about the price difference between varieties The strawberries look really big 645 yen There’s an area selling less attractive fruits But the prices are very cheap If you want to find bargains This market is perfect for that Next to the fruit shop there’s a Pro Mart It’s a supermarket specifically for chefs and restaurants Because the prices are so cheap And the quality is good So as a result Many locals come to shop at this supermarket Because they have daily necessities And lots of cooking ingredients They have all kinds of ingredients Wow, it’s really abundant! Just look at their meat and ham section They have so many different options This large pack of pork is only 666 yen Like this premium marbled beef They sell it here too The marbling looks beautiful 1,333 yen No wonder this place has become a favorite For restaurants and housewives Because they have such a wide selection of ingredients They also have many ready-to-cook packages Like these marked for business use Which are specifically for restaurants They also have many different kinds of snacks I think it’s also quite suitable for regular tourists Or individual travelers to buy snacks In this market There are fewer shops selling ready-to-eat food Next to Pro Mart, the chef’s supermarket There’s a tempura shop It’s one of the few places selling ready-to-eat food When people think of tempura They might think it’s sweet potato tempura Actually, tempura in Japanese means deep-fried food Any food that’s deep-fried is called tempura Tempura was brought from Nagasaki to Edo After cheap rapeseed oil became available Tempura gradually became a common snack A dish everyone could enjoy So it became one of Edo’s three great cuisines Hey honey, can you guess Edo’s three great cuisines? One is tempura, right? What are the other two? Sashimi Do you think everyone can afford sashimi? Dumplings Dumplings are Chinese Something we eat often Ramen Oh, none of your guesses are correct Okay, here’s the answer The first one is tempura Then the second one is sushi And the third one is soba noodles These three are the great foods of the Edo period This tempura Even when it gets cold It’s still very delicious And what’s special is that it’s not greasy at all It tastes very light and fresh You can taste the natural sweetness of the ingredients in every bite And have you noticed? Its coating is different from regular tempura It only has a thin layer of batter Not thick and greasy like traditional tempura If you take it back to the hotel as a midnight snack It’s still just as delicious The squid tempura is the chef’s signature dish I highly recommend everyone to try it Downstairs there’s a Mitsuki Seafood Oh, this is a whole large octopus! Yesterday at Kuromon Market Just four or five slices cost 500 yen This is so big and thick They also sell sliced tuna here But the unfortunate thing is It’s really meant for local families to shop Everything is pre-cut in whole boxes Not very suitable for tourists to buy and eat on the spot Better for taking home to cook They also have pre-prepared salmon here For sashimi I wonder if some restaurants also come here to buy supplies It’s really convenient Everything is prepared for you Hokkaido scallops for 980 yen It can be eaten raw They have smaller boxes of salmon roe 480 yen A small box of sea urchin costs 2,380 yen The shrimp are super thick and large Let’s look at these palm-sized shrimp The shop on the first floor, Seiwan Seafood, sells Ready-to-eat nigiri sushi The price is very reasonable 7 pieces for 843 yen The beef here looks beautiful And after it’s cut They wrap it with a layer of plastic wrap Very clean and hygienic Because you can’t eat on the 1st floor or B1 It’s different from regular tourist markets There’s a café on the 2nd floor So I came here to sit, rest and eat The café on the 2nd floor isn’t expensive Look, they have a breakfast butter toast Plus a drink Just 400 yen I think I’ve only spent about 3,000 yen so far So we still have 7,000 yen left Yes But since some market items like vegetables Aren’t convenient to take back to the hotel to cook Okay, let’s go to the nearby Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street And spend the rest of the money Let’s see with this 10,000 yen In this Tenjin shopping area How many different things I can eat Coming from Tenma Market You’ll quickly reach Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street There’s a famous sushi restaurant nearby There’s already a line at lunchtime The shopping street is well-planned Because look, they put the signs up high You can see from far away Where the store you want to go is And now we’re at Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street It’s now 12 noon on a weekday It’s very lively here It’s 2.6 kilometers in total length Spanning three subway stations The shops are very diverse It has food, shopping, and leisure centers Let me tell you about this street There are really so many shops to explore There’s an OS Drug Store here It’s a drugstore I always visit Every time I come to Japan Although they don’t offer tax refunds But because their prices are very cheap Some popular medicines I suggest you come here early to shop They might sell out in the morning Once they’re sold out, there’s no more stock OS Drug Store only accepts cash And tax refund is not available Please keep this in mind A small croquette Many people are lining up Let’s try it Delicate texture The coating doesn’t taste greasy The breading is quite crispy This is really good And this croquette It has a nice cheese aroma We’re now at Osaka’s Tenmangu Shrine Tenmangu is in the Tenjin shopping district A very important location Because one of Japan’s three major festivals, the Tenjin Festival Is centered around Osaka Tenmangu It mainly enshrines Sugawara no Michizane, the god of learning Many students and exam takers during exam season Come here to pray Wishing for success in their exams To pass their tests When you come here You can buy a success charm nearby And an ema Where you can write your wishes Hang it up And pray for your wishes to come true Here you’ll notice on the eaves And doors there are many plum blossom decorations Sugawara no Michizane loved plum blossoms He even wrote A Chinese poem about plum blossoms That shows how much he loved them The plum blossom patterns Are divided into two types: naturalistic and stylized The naturalistic style shows realistic Plum blossom patterns The stylized version used in clan crests is more designed That’s the stylized pattern You’ll notice Most patterns here are the stylized type What’s nice about this place Is how peaceful and quiet it is I recommend everyone to visit To experience the sacred atmosphere It’s right next to the shopping street Very close by This bakery offers take-out Or dine-in options But for dine-in You need to order a drink I ordered two items Their impressive signature breads Earl grey cream-filled bread And curry soft-boiled egg bread One sweet, one savory Let’s try both The earl grey cream bread has a soft outer layer The key is its very rich filling As you chew The crust has a subtle sake lees aroma To be honest, the earl grey filling Doesn’t have a strong tea flavor But I think it’s delicious The earl grey filling isn’t too sweet And earl grey-filled bread Is quite unique and rare Worth trying Now for the curry soft-boiled egg bread Its crust is very thin Almost doesn’t feel like bread But it tastes really good A whole soft-boiled egg inside Eaten together with the curry sauce I think it’s quite special Like eating curry rice We’re now at a 70-year-old Okonomiyaki restaurant Okonomiyaki is also called savory pancake But there are two styles of Okonomiyaki First is Osaka-style Using yam as the base You can add any ingredients you like The cooking method is simple Mix all ingredients together Cook until done and add sauce on top That’s Osaka-style Okonomiyaki But there’s another style you might not know With noodles inside Called Hiroshima-style Hiroshima-style is more complex to make It starts with cabbage First layer Then a layer of noodles on top Layer by layer Up to five or six layers So Hiroshima-style requires more skill For this kind of Okonomiyaki some restaurants might mix the ingredients and give them directly to you you can cook it yourself There’s a Tamade supermarket in this shopping street Its decoration is particularly colorful When I come to Japan, Tamade supermarket is a place I frequently visit to buy food because their prices are quite reasonable The biggest difference between Tamade supermarket and Tenma market is that they have a lot of ready-to-eat food here In my opinion Tamade supermarket excels in their prepared meals and bento boxes We’ll choose this for dinner because it looks so generous It has an omurice and what looks like fried chicken on the side then spaghetti and a hamburger steak This is only 462 yen such a great deal and you can try various different foods The prices here compared to Life supermarket near Kuromon market yesterday are even cheaper It’s perfect for tourists like us visiting Japan if you want to save on meal expenses or if you like buying some snacks for late-night eating at the hotel They have bread, fruits, drinks, and various types of snacks A bag of bread rolls 5 pieces for just 124 yen such a great deal Want to eat vegetables because when dining out in Japan there are few chances to eat vegetables 149 yen Because it’s so cold in winter now let’s buy a beef soup 300 yen Roy says he wants to buy natto rolls Why do we have to eat natto every time we come to Japan Because natto is very good for intestinal health so we should eat more natto I feel like every time I come to Japan Roy forces me to eat natto There’s a plum in the middle this is special This is something you’d only see in manga For dinner, we’ll also have an omelette soba 311 yen We first visited the Michelin-recommended takoyaki shop I personally think its outer layer is quite crispy and soft the octopus is very fresh but the sauce is a bit too salty so I think this place is optional Alright, now that we’ve finished exploring Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street and Tenma Market let’s see how much we spent today for two people eating all day Wow, we only spent 7,073 yen So I think between Kuromon Market and Tenma Market there’s quite a big difference because Kuromon is really touristy Being touristy has its advantages it’s suitable for tourists to take photos and check in see some unique and interesting things but relatively, the prices are higher In comparison although Tenma Market also has tourists the proportion of tourists is lower because there are more local residents naturally, it’s cheaper While walking on the street just now we were thinking about prices what does it mean for tourists maybe Tenma’s prices are cheaper but the quality is uncertain Comparing the two if you’re traveling to Japan with family and friends I highly recommend Kuromon you can eat high-quality seafood nearby there’s Nipponbashi, Namba Park and you can walk to Dotonbori it’s perfect for taking photos It’s really about the convenience everything you need is in the area If you’re planning to visit Japan more than once like two, three, or four times you might get tired of popular spots like Shinsaibashi or others some attractions might become boring you might want to visit morning markets where locals go or supermarkets check out the prices and experience the authentic local flavors I think it’s also a different Japanese experience Yes, because coming to Tenma Market I clearly felt their way of life here Because like when we just went to eat Okonomiyaki The architecture is more traditional The shops are less touristy I can feel that This is where Japanese people really live Living in these modest shopping streets Compared to what tourists see Wow, Dotonbori is so bright With huge signs, it’s completely different If you really love Japanese culture And aspire to live the Japanese lifestyle You should visit Tenma Market And Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street To experience local life Would you choose the tourist-filled Kuromon Market Or the local Tenma Market? Both Kizu and Tenma markets offer unique experiences, but the choice depends on whether you're craving fresh seafood or local street food. Either way, Osaka’s food scene is unbeatable! 🍣🍜

I love you❤❤❤❤❤❤
