【那須塩原】電車とバスで巡る那須塩原まったり夏旅◆その1◆光雲荘/足湯湯っ歩の里/那須ガーデンアウトレットでランチ/那須塩原駅【温泉】

ALOHA! It’s Sakurai♪ This time I went on a trip to Nasu Shiobara Onsen. I used trains and buses to visit various famous places, so please read to the end♪ The gateway to the trip is JR Nasu Shiobara Station. On the day I arrived, I went to “Nasu Garden Outlet” to have lunch. On this day, I had lunch at “CHEESE GARDEN”, which has a wide variety of cheese-based dishes. This “Cheese Pan Du” is cheese fondue served in a bread bowl . The melted cheese and chewy bread go very well together, making it an irresistible dish for cheese lovers! And the seasonal Imperial Villa Cheesecake. On the day I went, it was lemon ♡ The refreshing acidity was perfect for summer. This is “Nasu Kitchen & Table”. The bacon steak plate made with ingredients from Nasu is this big! It was soft and I was able to eat it all in one go . The vegetables were also very crunchy and delicious! Now, we went back to the station and took a bus to Shiobara Onsen. It took about 70 minutes to get to Shiobara Onsen . The greenery of the mountains was lush and beautiful. Shiobara Onsen Bus Terminal is the starting point for tourists who arrive by train and bus. In addition to the bus departure and arrival points, there are coin lockers, waiting rooms, restrooms, etc., and next to it is the “Shiobara Onsen Town Tour Information Center”. The inn where we stayed this time is “Kounso”. Nearby there is a small, charming slope called Sakurazaka. It would be a beautiful slope in the autumn leaves. The blue summer sky was the most beautiful. I was surprised by a dragonfly. I heard a voice in the room. This is the “12 tatami mat Japanese room renovated in 2022” where I stayed. The room had a sparkling shower booth. There is not only a hand shower but also a rain shower, so it seems easy to use for foreign tourists . When I see the towel rack,
I think “I’m at the hot spring!” Of course, there is an air conditioner, but since it gets quite warm in the hot spring, I was happy to have an electric fan in the room. I saw this tea snack “Maple Cookie” at “Kameya Honpo” where I went to buy hot spring manju. I stayed at this inn for two nights, and on the second night, they prepared hot spring manju for me. When I woke up in the morning, the view of the green mountains from this window was really beautiful, and I was truly soothed. This is a hot spring towel. It’s nice to have a logo on it as a souvenir. After checking in, I went down Sakurazaka and came to the foot bath “Yuppo no Sato”. The hot spring girls welcomed me. Inside, there is a warm water zone and a hot water zone. This is the warm water zone. There are many stones scattered around that stimulate the foot acupressure points. This is the hot water zone. The hot water was quite hot, so my feet got red, so it might be better to sit and relax in the warm water zone . These stones are surprisingly painful, aren’t they? Outside the window, there is a geyser in the center, which was occasionally erupting , which surprised me . I sat down on a bench in the warm water and relaxed. It’s a very large facility, so it seems like several people can sit side by side. After the foot bath, I returned to the inn for dinner. This time, I booked the most standard “Lucky Course”. I was able to enjoy a variety of dishes using a lot of local ingredients, so I ordered a Tochigi local sake set. This red sake in the middle, It’s called “Tochiakane” and it’s made with strawberry yeast. It was fun to taste a little bit of each local sake ♪ These are Nasu Shiobara’s premium Yashiromasu and Iwana trout. Since it’s Tochigi, there was also yuba sashimi . And salt-grilled sweetfish! I love yuba and sweetfish! This is Kounso’s specialty, grilled stone trout! They put hot stones in right in front of you, so it was a very rustic and impressive sight. Steam was rising to the ceiling. It was piping hot! After dinner, we headed to the foot bath at the inn . There is a hot spring source here, and you can drink the hot spring water. After a good night’s sleep in the open-air bath, we had breakfast at the restaurant . There were a variety of dishes, some of which were warmed up on the table, and milk from the local Senbonmatsu Farm was served. With a full stomach, we headed out for sightseeing that day . In the next video, we’ll introduce Senbonmatsu Farm and Shiobara Onsen’s specialty “Toteyaki” .
See you in the next video♪ MAHALO!
