【タイ🇹🇭】バンコクで話題のスポット!アートでレトロな路地裏探検、オシャレな旧市街「タラートノイ」を散策

Today, Brother Nampla is going to “Talad Noi,” a trending spot in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. This is an area along the Chao Phraya River that retains its old-fashioned charm. Recently, old buildings have been renovated, and it’s gaining attention as a stylish spot where you can enjoy cafes and wall art. What kind of place is it? Let’s go with Brother Nampla! 🐟 Hello! This is Brother Nampla! Today, I’m at Hua Lamphong MRT station. Today, we’re heading to Talad Noi from here. I’m excited to go there. It’s a trending area in Bangkok right now. It’s been very popular recently, so I definitely want to go with you all today. Yeah, it’s a fashionable area, so let’s go. All right, let’s go! Let’s go! It’s the rainy season today, so the sky is a bit cloudy. ☁️ It’s June now, so we’re right in the middle of the rainy season. ☔️ The rainy season in Thailand is from around May to October, right? Roughly, yes. But for Bangkok sightseeing, the rainy season is absolutely no problem. In Bangkok, there are many places to enjoy indoors. That’s right. Unlike the rainy season in Japan, it doesn’t rain all day in Bangkok. ☔️ It only rains in the evening, for example. Mostly in the evening, I guess? The area we’re walking through is gradually becoming more retro. This area is very close to Chinatown, and since Chinatown and the old town, as it’s called, are also nearby, the overall atmosphere of the town is retro, isn’t it! It’s stylish. 🎨 Some people might find the way to Talad Noi a bit difficult, but it might be easier to turn left at this somewhat flashy cafe. Yeah, this building is stylish, isn’t it? Yeah. This building is amazing. It’s an easy landmark to spot and easy to understand. Isn’t this building flashier than before? The wall art keeps getting updated. I feel like the trees are getting bigger too. Is it just my imagination? If you go straight down this road, you’ll reach Songwat Road. Using this flashy building as a landmark, turn left and you can get to Talad Noi. Let’s go to Talad Noi from here. This tuk-tuk is cool. 🛺 So that’s what it looks like inside a tuk-tuk. Last time, we came to this area during the Kin Jae Festival. The Kin Jae Festival is a vegetarian festival. There’s a vegetarian festival, and this area gets lively during that time. Today it’s really quiet, so we can see what Talad Noi is usually like. That’s right. It feels good. The signs are retro and cute! Look, they’re making something. What is this? Are they making robots or elephants out of car scraps? It’s really cool! Interesting! Their eyes are glowing! This elephant has great taste. Wow! There are so many decorations. This is it! The entrance is small, though. From here, it’s Talad Noi. Is this the entrance? Look at this! The manholes are really cute! I wonder if they’re original? They’re quite elaborate. This place is famous for its wall art. 🎨 All the walls are adorned with art. It’s stylish! Photos are displayed here. You’re right. This area is a photo spot with a lot of wall art. 📸 I wonder who draws them? I wonder! Different themes and motifs are depicted, which is interesting. It seems that the old houses in this area have been renovated into cafes and other establishments. It’s retro and has a nice atmosphere! So there are shops like this. That’s interesting. The ducks are decorated in various ways. There’s a retro street! Isn’t this building amazing? This is the Mother Roaster Cafe. ☕️ Shall we go in? The inside of the building feels like a factory. Is this a toy store? Oh, right. This might be made by the same person who made the monument we saw outside earlier. It’s an artistic space! Amazing! It’s clearer that it’s a cafe now than when I saw it before. When we first saw it, we didn’t think it was a cafe, right? There’s scrap material piled up there! There’s a lot of scrap material. There’s an atelier-like space inside. That’s amazing. Now, let’s go up to the cafe on the upper floor. Mother Roaster It’s a drink that combines orange and coffee. 🍊+☕️ I’m trying it for the first time. I often see this menu in Thailand. Trying this combination is a first for us. Cheers. Should I mix it? This is new! The bitterness of coffee and the sweetness of orange mix into a complex taste. Is it good? It’s good! A new taste. First time trying it. So there’s this way of drinking it. Hampen-chan, would you like to try it? It’s a very interesting way to drink. This combination gives a chocolate-like flavor. You’re right! That might be it. Next, I’m going to try a latte. This one was made with local Thai coffee beans. It has a very bitter aroma. I’m looking forward to drinking it. Okay, I’ll try it. It’s rich! The strong coffee and milk go well together. 🥛 Delicious! It’s easy to drink and has a lot of depth. The coffee beans we saw earlier were darker than the ones we usually buy at home. That’s right. When ordering, we could choose the beans. They also showed us beans with different roasts from the same type of bean, and the aroma was completely different. That’s interesting. This is a cafe where you can enjoy authentic coffee. That’s right. There’s such a stylish cafe on such a stylish street, so please come and visit! There are a lot of cats. 🐈 There are 4, 5, 6, 7 cats. There’s a shrine here! This is a Chinese-style shrine. It’s colorful and cool. The painting here seems to have changed from before. It’s slightly changed, you’re right. A QR code is drawn. It’s a butterfly pea flower. 🪻 It’s blooming right here. It’s also called butterfly pea. This cafe called Baan Rim Naam seemed famous, but it’s closed now. The doorknob is shaped like a hand. 🖐️ You’re right, that’s interesting. The shops have changed from before. It’s a nice atmosphere. There’s a cafe here too, right? There’s an admission fee. 🎫 50 baht Yes. Let’s go inside. Let’s go. It seems to be a mansion of a Chinese family. It’s an old house. Amazing. Is it a cafe? I wonder. I was curious what kind of shop it was. Now, you have to pay an admission fee at the entrance. The walls are very red! This is a relaxation space. You can do zazen here. That’s amazing. The courtyard is very beautiful. Is it old? It seems that Chinese people used to come here for trade, which is why there are buildings like this. I think so. This place is very close to the Chao Phraya River, so it seems to have been a thriving trading area. It’s completely a Chinese-style building, isn’t it! That’s right. This is completely Chinese architecture. 🏮 The decorations are beautiful! You’re right. This is amazing! The mirror is meaningless. That’s a stylish sticker. You’re right. It’s lovely. ✨ That’s a very big tree! 🌳 Was this a bar? You’re right, it says “Slow Bar.” Someone’s drinking alcohol. Do you want to have a drink? This is a famous photo spot. It’s stylish. I wonder when this car is from? This building is also very old. It seems like there are more shops around here than before. You’re right. This is a tea shop. There are many coffee shops around here, so it’s nice to have a tea shop. 🍵 It’s stylish. When we came here before, we knew the name Talad Noi, but we were walking around without knowing this was Talad Noi. This is the map of Talad Noi. 🗺️ The marks on the map are pictures of manholes. There are manholes with pictures drawn on them in various places. There are stickers. Isn’t that the manhole from earlier? Nice, it’s cute. Shall we buy it? Sounds good! It’s cute! Cute, thank you! The manhole that was sold as merchandise at that shop earlier. This is it, cute! Let’s film this alleyway. Let’s go! It’s so stylish! Why is it so stylish? Everywhere, they’ve utilized the texture of the old buildings. They’ve been renovated. Cool. Very tasteful. Is this the first time we’ve passed through here? There are hotels like this too. If I came here for a trip, I’d want to stay in a place like this. That’s right. What is this place? A hotel? Cool! Photo Hostel & Photo Cafe It might be interesting to stay around here! That might be nice! Talad Noi is nice! This is the Chinese shrine we visited before during the Vegetarian Festival (Kin Jae). That’s right! There aren’t many people today. During the Kin Jae festival, it was so crowded!
0:20:42.782,0:46:096
It was so crowded that people couldn’t even get into this shrine! There were many street vendors selling toptap (peanut snacks) here! This time, we’re mainly strolling through Talad Noi, and it’s a lot of fun! It’s the rainy season now, and it’s raining, but it doesn’t bother me. I forgot my umbrella today, though! An umbrella is essential! ☂️ This is also a stylish cafe! I was curious about this place too! This is a riverside cafe, and beyond this building is the Chao Phraya River. The color scheme of the building is very stylish. This place also has a nice atmosphere! I’d like to go into this shop! It’s wonderful that they are renovating and effectively utilizing the old town. The inside of this building is a shop. Let’s go inside the building! Stylish!! They sell various fashion goods and accessories! It’s stylish! There are quite a lot of foreign tourists too! I’ve been here once before! This is a riverside area with a relaxing park. So far, this is the perfect guide course for Talad Noi! I was surprised walking around this area myself! We’ve seen everything! We’re hitting all the important tourist spots! Wow, amazing! It’s a Bodhi tree! Beautiful. We’ve reached the Chao Phraya River. You can see ICONSIAM on the opposite bank. It feels like the sky in the rainy season. That’s right. It’s nice because it’s not hot. 🌡️ That’s right. It’s good weather for sightseeing. The rainy season is good for Bangkok sightseeing. It might actually be good. March and April are too hot. ☀️ It might be just right for sightseeing. It suits you. This is the Talad Noi Museum. Shall we go inside for a bit? This is my first time entering here. Talad Noi Museum! It’s interesting! The facilities are clean too! This is a place where you can learn about the history of Talad Noi. Famous spots in this area are also introduced. Here you can press stamps. There’s a “Ken” (health) of Nampla. Health is the most important thing in life. Interesting! Look at this! You can peer inside the photos! It looks incredibly real! Can the camera see inside here? You can peek into the old times. You can compare the present and the past. I see! That’s interesting! The past and present are completely different. So, what about the Chao Phraya River? The old scenery. It’s old. So this is what it was like. There weren’t many buildings. Wow, amazing! This car is the same car we saw earlier. I’ll do the same pose as earlier. This place is good. Interesting. It’s a place where you can learn more about Talad Noi. You can enjoy Talad Noi even on a rainy day. You can also learn about Chinese traditions. We went to China the other day. After seeing Chinatown in Thailand, I wanted to see real China. Yeah, it’s actually pretty close to China from here. We arrived in Chongqing from Bangkok in 3 hours. Next time, I’d like to make a video about our trip to China. You can take pictures like this while taking a break. Could you move forward a bit more? There we go. We’ve come out to a wide street. This is Songwat Road. Yes, this is Songwat Road. You can see Talad Noi, Songwat Road, and then head straight to Chinatown. You can explore this area in one day. There’s someone eating ramen on the street. Nice, this local vibe is good too. A cat is coming out of the wall. Cute! 🤍 The wall painting has changed since we were here last. You’re right. I wonder if the paintings change frequently? That’s right. It’s amazing that they can draw such large pictures. This seems to serve as an advertisement as well. It’s cool. This cafe is also stylish. This is new too, right? It wasn’t here before. More and more new shops are opening. If you turn left right here, you’ll reach our destination restaurant. We’ve entered another back alley, and next, we’re going to take a break at a riverside restaurant. It has a nice, retro atmosphere. It’s very nice! So this is what it’s like! It’s super retro! Cool! Let’s go! It seems we have to take off our shoes to enter. The shop is very crowded. We ordered this. It looks delicious. This was about 140 THB (623 yen). There’s a lot of passion fruit in the large glass. Well then, let’s eat. The passion fruit seeds pop with the fizz of the carbonation, and it’s delicious. Passion fruit is highly recommended, right? That’s right! I had never seen passion fruit in Japan. You can only eat this fruit in warm countries. Passion fruit has a powerful taste, like an energy drink. I think it contains a lot of vitamins. Thailand is hot, so it consumes a lot of vitamins in the body. I think it’s good to replenish vitamins with passion fruit. This fruit tastes like an energy drink.

Hampen-chan ordered lime juice, but this fruit is also good for you. It contains a lot of vitamin C. Highly recommended! It’s the best. Tom Yum Goong has arrived! 🦐 This is the Tom Yum Goong with coconut milk! We could choose the type of Tom Yum Goong when ordering. You could choose that? We could choose between creamy or clear Tom Yum Goong. I see. Well, preferences vary. That’s right. I learned this after coming to Thailand, but all the Tom Yum Goong I saw in Japan was creamy. That’s right. This Tom Yum Goong contains straw mushrooms, purple onions, lemongrass, and Thai ginger called “kha” in Thailand. This ginger tightens the flavor of the soup. 🫚 It also contains kaffir lime leaves. Finally, I’m starting to understand the names of the seasonings used in Thai cuisine. You’re right, we’re gradually understanding them. I’m sure there are still ingredients we don’t know about. It looks delicious, so let’s eat! 🍲 This is really delicious. The shrimp are very big! 🦐 It looks delicious. ✨ The shrimp are plump! The soup is creamy. I ordered it less spicy, so it has a mild flavor. It’s wonderful when a restaurant uses plenty of straw mushrooms in their Tom Yum Goong. That’s right. Straw mushrooms are very perishable. Yes, these mushrooms can’t be eaten if they’re not fresh. Depending on the restaurant, I think some places don’t want to use these mushrooms because inventory management is difficult. Many shops don’t use straw mushrooms. Maybe so. This restaurant still uses straw mushrooms! 🍄 They’re particular about it. Delicious. 🤤 Everyone, please try this restaurant. 🦐🍄 Please do try it. It’s the best to eat delicious food in this stylish scenery. That’s right! This is a place where you can eat authentic Thai food. Kaosoi was also on the menu here. I think there are many Thai dishes that Japanese people can easily choose from. Everyone, please come and visit! This place is highly recommended. How was it today? I felt like I really enjoyed my day off today. That’s right. I felt like this area is where Bangkok’s art gathers. Everywhere had a high-sense vibe, which was great. The wall art was beautiful, and the manholes were original, which was nice. That’s right. It was good to see this local feel. Chinatown is also close from here, and if you go straight, Songwat Road is also close, so why don’t you combine them for sightseeing? You can experience the stylish side of Bangkok, so please go and visit. It’s a stylish and retro town. So please, everyone, come and visit. Yes. See you next time! See ya! Bye bye! Thank you for watching the video again.
