transport, and shopping cost very little The minimum salary in Iran is low—many
workers earn less than $200 a month. Iran has over 85 million people, and most of them live in
big cities like Tehran, Mashhad, and Isfahan. City life is busy, with lots of traffic,
shops, and people everywhere. House prices in big cities like Tehran can be high,
but smaller cities are more affordable. The average salary in Iran is higher than the minimum but
still not very big—around $300 to $400 a month. Many cities in Iran are clean, with regular street
cleaning and efforts to keep parks nice. There are myths that Iran doesn’t have enough food, but
