Day 12 of our New Zealand trip
We fill up with gas in Te Anau and head out. Next stop… The weather is great again today, and we’ll be driving towards Queenstown first while enjoying a spectacular drive! The South Island is really full of handsome sheep.
We say good morning to the sheep as we drive along. Stopping at a cafe along the way for breakfast and lunch break. Local atmosphere is nice ♩
Great variety of food! Flat white and salmon bagel, order the signature dome burger This homemade salmon bagel was too good ♩ later and later, this place wins for salmon bagels! The burgers were so good too, the homemade hamburgers were so delicious ♡.
The level of ingredients is high in New Zealand! Very full and satisfied ♩ Driving in New Zealand is the same as in Japan, left… Oh, it’s a right-hand drive. I drive on the left side of the road, so it’s very easy to drive, but I’m a little scared of curves because I have to keep going about 100 km/h. The rest of the roads are straight, so it’s not that different from driving on a country road in Japan. Driving while enjoying the scenery is one of the joys of a New Zealand road trip! One stop back in Queenstown. Lake Wakatipu comes into view Lake Wakatipu is so beautiful that we stopped at the lookout point along the way! The best lookout point! We stopped at the birthplace of bungee jumping, which has spread all over the world! Excellent sense of design★ This is the place for bungee jumping! Everyone is flying without hesitation, amazing! Terrifying to watch! But very lively and fun ♩ The place where the first bungee jump in the world started, so there are many challengers and they fly one after another without a pause! From the top, it’s a bit of a drag… I heartily applaud the courage of the challenger! It was free to see and the view of the canyon was amazing! It was empowering to see everyone’s spirit of challenge! Even chubby can fly! A single mountain road leading to Wanaka. There are still more spots to stop along the way! Driving while enjoying the scenery while stopping the car from time to time ♩The good thing about renting a car is that you can stop at view spots easily. New Zealand’s oldest hotel in Cardrona A really cute hotel with a handsome exterior.

No way it’s closed… Too bad! The Cardrona Hotel is about a 20 minute drive from Wanaka, so I would like to revisit the gift store if I have time during my stay in Wanaka A large number of bras suddenly appear in the mountains

I’ve got the key unlocking recitation number in my email, so I’m going to enter it. Oh! There’s a key in there. Now it’s going in. It’s open~ Washer and dryer are attached. And a bed room as soon as you walk in And it’s nicely prepared with towels and stuff. And this side is the restroom Ah! There is a bathtub ♩ Lucky

Double room over here, too. And there is a shower here as well It’s crazy nice!
It’s an apartment for rent. I’m going to stay here for 3 nights! Unloading my luggage from the car.
Beer and spicy ramen noodles we bought in Te Anau, we’ll eat them here! Papers and condiments are available, but no toothbrushes, shampoo, body soap, etc. I came to the supermarket to buy water and food during my stay in Wanaka I’m going to boil some broccoli! 1.99 (169 yen) cheap! I eat vegetables because I don’t have enough vegetables I’m addicted to fresh cream bread since I came to New Zealand♡This cream is not available in Japan! The spectacular mountain scenery is overwhelming Here we are at Lake Wanaka, home to the world’s most famous tree It’s a little late in the day, but I just came to see the Wanaka Tree. I think a lot of people know about the Wanaka Tree. Um – Windows?
You know, sometimes it’s the cover of the desktop. I don’t think it was a Mac… So I think some people know about Wanaka Tree It’s just a little bit sad because the water has receded, if you know what I mean… I’ll try to come back tomorrow, but once I get closer… The slightly reddish leaves are beautiful again, and I felt the life force in the way they stood strong The surrounding area is also full of nature, and a pleasant time is passing by. Only the mountains are illuminated on the Arbent Roth Boiling broccoli I bought. Apartments can be like living in that town I used them when I was a backpacker in my 20s, but it was a pain in the ass to arrange a time to pick up the keys. But times have changed, and with a key delivery like here, you don’t have to be on time, and it’s easier to get out. It’s also interesting to travel and discover new things, like running appliances or making food to eat. Today’s dinner was hot vegetables, cup noodles, and sushi.
I know it’s not much, but it’s enough to satisfy me. Doing 4 days worth of laundry.
I really appreciate a property with laundry Vegetable-based paper detergent is mainstream overseas.
It’s eco-friendly and I wish it was available in Japan I’ll be able to relax in Wanaka as if it were my own home.
I’m so glad I rented this house. Had the most relaxing and comfortable night in a long time! On the 13th day of our New Zealand trip, we finally got caught in a real downpour of rain! We have no choice but to spend the rest of the day in our rooms! I eat a simple breakfast of leftover hot vegetables and yogurt from yesterday. New Zealand has a high level of dairy products and Greek yogurt is too good, so I’m comparing different kinds of yogurt I’ve eaten yogurt from many different manufacturers and personally this one is by far the best! The morning rain has cleared up like a lie ☀ I spent the morning relaxing at home and then the weather cleared up very quickly! February 24th…? 25th!　February 25th.
The temperature is about 18 degrees Celsius… very warm! The difference between cold and warm hours in a day is quite large! Last night it felt too cold to sleep without the heater on (5°C) I kind of want to go to the lavender farm now! The lavender can be seen in the summer from December to February. I’m not sure if they are still blooming but I want to enjoy this season in New Zealand. Lavender farm is about 5 minutes drive from Wanaka town We have arrived at the lavender farm~ It smells like lavender!
I’m off! I’m going in with stickers on my clothes The entrance is lined with an amazing variety of lavender products, including aroma oils, soaps, and teas! Manuka honey from New Zealand, known for its high quality honey, is a very popular souvenir! Tasting of honey was available here ♩ Mmm~♡♡♡
Delicious~! The higher the MGO value, the better the efficacy and the more expensive A walk around the park It’s autumn and some of the flowers are starting to wither, but there are lots of flowers other than lavender. Wow~♡ Amazing!
Lavender field The atmosphere is a bit like that of Hokkaido! Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!
It’s still in bloom around here… The nice smell of lavender soothes me♡I didn’t like it much as a child, but now I love it very much! There were a lot of bees, but they weren’t the bad kind. It’s not often that I come across a flower garden, so I get excited ♩ On the farm, you can see many animals up close, such as sheep, Highland cattle, donkeys, goats, and birds! Well bred animals are cute and handsome Here we are at the lavender fields in the back area! Lavender farms are popular for Instagram.
Here’s a great photo spot! A purple door stands in the middle of a lavender field. It makes you feel like you are connected to another world like a door to anywhere. Enjoying that world over there for a while… Lavender and door colors, mountain views too nice world I came to the lavender farm on a whim looking for a place to play in the afternoon, but it was even nicer than I imagined! Puzzling World, a huge maze.
It was already closing time, so I just enjoyed the outside. Back to the town of Wanaka for a little stroll. Wanaka shopping mall

About 70 million yen? NZ$ 1,080,000
About 90 million yen? But cheaper than Taupo or Queenstown or something. That doesn’t seem to be true lol NZ$ 1,875,000
I think it’s about 150 million yen? The amount is high~! How rich is this guy? There are quite a few outdoor stores and an awful lot of places that are already closed! Some say New Zealand may be in a recession, so this could certainly be the beginning of a recession! I found my favorite cream buns at a nearby bakery. I will also buy a meal for tomorrow’s hike. I bought it!
Wow I really love this too much already! I’ve had fresh cream buns in every town I’ve been in, but so far I can’t beat the bakery in Oakland. Beautiful~! Main street in Wanaka I knew there are a lot of mountaineering brands here! I guess hiking on a daily basis is the norm~! When I see people walking around, I don’t see people with heavy makeup or anything like that, and most of them are dressed naturally. Everything’s closed (except for some food and drink).
It’s already 18:00 and nowhere else is open I was able to walk around the whole town Sometimes I intersperse Japanese food because it gets too hard to keep up with foreign food. Recently, there are many Japanese restaurants abroad, so I don’t have to worry about it. Ramen and a handsome salmon bowl set meal Japanese food ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ Japanese food Thanks to the rain this morning, I was able to take it easy.
I need a day to relax on my trip. Eating bread from the supermarket for a snack. This was something totally different… This is the ◎ for potato chips A day spent as if we were living in the house.
