Kobayashi Higashio Tour Kyushu 12-day self-driving tour DAY 6 Last time, we stayed at the Amakusa Shimoda Onsen Hotel and continued our journey. Amakusa City – Onikai Keura April 4th – 9:45 The first of the eight sunset views of Amakusa **Due to the strong wind, the reception is poor. We apologize for the inconvenience. ** Onikai Keura will visit the eight sunset views of Amakusa in the next two days. The sun sets in different positions in different months. There is a restaurant here where you can slowly watch the sunset. There is a staircase next to the restaurant where you can walk down and see the strange rocks up close. Amakusa City – Jusanbutsu Park April 4th – 10:30 Now we come to the second of the eight sunset views of Amakusa, Jusanbutsu Park. The endless East China Sea Amakusa City – Nishihei Park April 4th – 11:00 Now we come to the sunset at Oonose in Nishihira Park. Oonose is the rock behind me. Actually, this park is quite big. I see a lot of grass. I really want to camp here, but there is no toilet here. I unexpectedly discovered a lot of cherry blossoms in the park. There are different flower viewings in different seasons. After viewing Oonose, I suddenly woke up and said , “Oh, I forgot to go to Takahama Port.” The chef of the sushi restaurant the day before yesterday said that its porcelain was fired there. They are all very beautiful and very famous locally. So now let’s go back and see Amakusa City – Takahama yaki Suhoho Kiln April 4 – 11:45. Arrive at Takahama Port and see Takahama yaki Suhoho here. Now go in and see this. Are these ramen bowls? This pattern should be its pattern. Takahama ware has a long history. It began in 1762. A kiln was set up here that year to start making Takahama ware. After rich experience and in-depth research , the white, thin and transparent Takahama ware was produced. Since ancient times, Takahama ware has represented high-quality and exquisite ceramics , so we finally bought two Japanese ramen bowls. Friends who love ceramics may wish to visit here. Amakusa City-Takahama Town Ueda House April 4th-12:10 Next to Takahama ware is an ancient Japanese house Ueda House. In 1814, a fire broke out here and burned down the entire village. In 1815, the village chief’s house was rebuilt. It was this Ueda House and was later registered as an important cultural asset of Japan. After visiting here and buying what we wanted to buy , we have to go to this… One of the most important places in Amakusa is the Sakizu Village GOGOGO Amakusa City-Sakizu Village April 4th-13:15 We are now in Amakusa . A very important place is Sakizu, but we will eat first . Italian restaurant- SYMPHONY Xiaolin: Did you have this TV before? Xiaolin: I have Xiaolin: Brown Xiaoyu: The same model? Xiaolin: Similar but different Xiaolin: But similar… Xiaoyu: The one with buttons? Xiaolin: Me too . Xiaoyu: Mine is much bigger . Xiaolin : Mine is also a little bigger. Xiaolin : It’s a brown shell. Xiaoyu: Yes. Xiaolin: Me too. Xiaoyu: Ox turtle. Xiaolin: Yes. We came to this Italian restaurant in Sakizu City. It’s closed every Wednesday . There is a set-up from 12:00 to 3:00. Then it opens again at night. Today is a free day, so there’s no one. If it’s Saturday, Sunday or a holiday, I heard that reservations are required, especially for dinner, so everyone should make reservations based on the date. There are several types of pasta, four types of pasta. One pasta costs from 1,000 yen to 1,800 yen. If you add a SET, it may be a few hundred yen. Some SETs cost more than 2,000 yen. Let’s see what they eat. They are all famous. We ordered a wagyu, Kuroge wagyu, and another one made with local seafood. There is coffee/apple juice/oolong tea to choose a drink. With the SET, it’s FREE DRINK. The restaurant environment is OK. Although it’s very small, Kuroge wagyu pasta, seafood pasta, French bread , coffee, apple juice. Now the meal is open. The delicious Kuroge wagyu pasta is hard enough (refreshing) It should be onion juice. Yours is tomato, and mine is onion . The French bread is super crispy and delicious. Both pastas are delicious. In fact, it is fruit jelly. There is also a dessert, which is an object with tangerine and stewed eggs. Kobayashi: Let me try it first. It seems to be Kodama: It seems to be almond tofu . Kobayashi : The jelly comes from milk. The jelly comes from jelly. Kodama: Yes, yes, yes, Kobayashi: The jelly comes from orange jelly. A satisfying meal. There are many cats around here. The Sakizu Village in Amakusa was the gathering place for Catholics in Japan at that time. Even during the more than 200 years when the shogunate ordered the prohibition of religion, it still existed in this unique form. Believers would hold specific items as tokens of trust , such as the shell of the Virgin Mary , so you will see shell ornaments for sale. There are also Sakizu Suwa Shrines and temples in the Sakizu Village. The coexistence of these also reflects the harmonious integration of Japanese religion and Catholicism (slip of the tongue: it should be Catholicism, not Christianity) at that time . The most representative building in the Sakizu Village is the Sakizu Church located in the center . Amakusa City – Sakizu Church April 4 – 14:15 When you come to the village of Sakizu, you must see the Sakizu Church in front of you. This Sakizu Church was built with wood in 1888, fifteen years after the lifting of the ban on religion. The current Sakizu Church was built in 1934 by French missionary Father Harb in Gothic style. One of the characteristics is that the interior of the church is paved with tatami floors, which is quite rare in Japan. The sunlight shines into the church through the stained glass , illuminating the interior of the church , which is quite beautiful. Unfortunately, photography is prohibited inside the church, so we were unable to see it . Amakusa City – Statue of Maria on the Sea April 4 – 15:15 After walking through the Sakizu Village, we came to the nearby Statue of Maria. The Statue of Maria on the Sea is a symbol of the faith of the fishermen and believers at that time . The statue watches over the ships coming in and out. It is not only a signpost of the sea , but also a spiritual beacon for the believers at that time. In addition, the sunset view of the Statue of Maria is amazing, so it was selected as one of the eight great sunsets of Amakusa. You can watch it according to the time. Amakusa City – Oezu Church April 4 – 16:00 We are now at Ohe Catholic Church. This Catholic church was the first church built in Amakusa after the ban was lifted. Construction began in 1933 by French missionary Father Garnier in cooperation with local believers. Outside the church you will see a statue of Father Garnier. The statue of the Virgin Mary of Lourdes was a symbol of Catholics at the time . Inside the church you will also see stained glass, simple ceiling , window decorations, etc. Photography is also prohibited so you can’t see it.Amakusa City – Narusha, NarushaApril 4th – 16:00In the blink of an eye, we arrived at the fifth of the Eight Sunset Views of Amakusa . The sunset at Narusha is the stone behind you. You can see the sun setting here, but it’s strange that I can’t find the monument on No. 5. I don’t know where it is. I guess the sun should sink in this hole.Amakusa City – Kuroishi CoastApril 4th – 17:30Okay, now we have come to the sixth of the Eight Sunset Views of Amakusa: Kuroishi Sunset . It’s windy, so windy that I can’t stand steadily. Facing the sea, the sun is sinking. I wonder if that tiny stone is the Kuroishi? Amakusa City – Ushibuka Town April 4 – 18:00 It is a small fishing port. The famous Ushibuka Bridge has many camping cars parked under the bridge. Many people park their cars here and fish. Now we are in Ushibuka City. Why did I come to Ushibuka? Because of the Ushibuka Bridge behind me . You can see it is a CURVE, a C-shaped bridge. Why is it so famous? It looks very ordinary because it is lit at night. Let’s count three and see it in the night light mode. In addition to being a fishing port, Ushibuka Port also has a ship. The dock of Ushibuka Port can reach Nagashima in Kagoshima. I went to Nagashima to find its eight views when I was traveling solo before. This ship can go there directly without going around in a big circle. It is more convenient. If you want to play like this, you can also consider wearing it like this. Now we are in Ushibuka. The southernmost city in Amakusa is a fishing port. There is something very famous here , which is Zajie . What is Zajie? I don’t remember if you have seen my video of a self-driving tour in Kagoshima three years ago. One of the places is called Makurazaki. It is most famous for producing this hongu tsuki , which is bonito flakes made from bonito. Ushibuka’s zaju is made of fish other than bonito. These wooden fish flakes are called zaju. I checked some information online. Ushibuka’s zaju is the number one in the country. It is mainly produced here. Now let’s go and check out the restaurants around and find a place to eat first. Amakusa City – Ushibuka-cho Sujiyoji April 4th – 18:45 We finally chose Sujiyoji. I ordered some rice bowls to eat because the most famous thing about Amakusa is rice bowls , which are seafood. If you don’t eat seafood , you can eat chicken. I will try my best to try other things after leaving Amakusa. It is a place to taste their best and most famous food . So I chose two bowls of rice bowls, one bowl of naked tuna rice, and the other bowl of Ikura rice , which is salmon roe rice. I also ordered a tempura fried shrimp tempura. This is tonight’s dinner. There are also some sushi, but I didn’t order it. If you really don’t come to eat at night, there is a lunch menu. This restaurant has only two small rooms, each of which can seat four people. Then I saw that there seemed to be only two seats at the bar . In fact, there were only about ten people , so it was very small. And I found that the Japanese orange OPENRICE TABELOG I can’t find it. It ‘s just some very authentic local shop , like a canteen in the town. Noodles with black bean soup , tea-stained food, tuna salad, tuna naked bowl, salmon roe bowl, assorted prawns, tempura. It’s a small shop in the fishing port, fresh and delicious. DAY 6 ends. Special thanks to the fans for their support. 1. Big Brother 2. RAIN 3. K leung 4. ANDY 5. SAMUEL 6. MARK 7. Shield 8. KARRY 9.
