東京都の羽村市には今でも水田があります。
それだけでも素晴らしいことなのですが、
稲作の農閑期である春には、水田がチューリップまつりの会場となるのです。
私は以前、羽村市の隣に位置する福生市に住んでいたのですが、
羽村市を訪れたことがありませんでした。
それどころが、福生市も南の方は行ったことがありません。
これを機会に、羽村市から福生市にかけて低山ハイクもしてみました。
するとこの日は、身近にあって気づかなかった美しい景色の数々を目にすることになりました。
