[Music] so cute [Music] that’s really good beautiful look at these plants [Music] hello everyone welcome to the wonderful japan channel today my sister has come to japan so we’re going to take her around takyama one of my favorite cities in japan takyama is a gorgeous city nestled in the mountains of gefu prefecture where the traditional streets of old japan still remain the furu machinami or old town area is especially popular with buildings dating all the way back to the edeto period you can soak in the historic atmosphere of japan while strolling the streets lined with wooden buildings and souvenir shops the first thing that caught our attention was a shop called misuma selling some local specialties you can watch them grill go mochi and mitarashi dango right at the front of the store and they sell ice cream as well yes please [Music] there’s cold sweets ice creams there’s also mitango there’s gui i don’t know what that is gu mochi it’s like a rice fried together i can get one of them if you want to share it mhm yeah just depends we can get would you like as well we share it yeah i can i don’t think i’ve tried that one we can eat both get one of each yeah we ordered go mochi and mitarashi dango glazed with sweet soy sauce [Music] so how did they taste [Music] this is good i love hot [Music] this one’s really yummy and good right it was my sister’s first time trying go mochi and i think it’s safe to say she liked it i like inside the store we found neurico candy art with simple but colorful designs each piece is like a little work of art it was fun to look at them so cute so cute i have a hamburger yeah it’s so cute i love it hamburger on a stick right oh so colorful yeah hashi handmade stuff yes handcraft store yes yes i love handcrafted then we spotted yuzen a handmade chopstick store you get your name on it oh yes you have your name yes that’s the kind of thing i want yeah that’s what i’ve been looking for you looking for that yeah you want one of those they have a stunning collection of chopsticks that you can personalize as well choose one with your birthstone oh that’s so pretty or even have your name engraved on them with your name on it that’s so pretty what chopsticks will we take home today snowman it’s a band oh is that so cute they’re so pretty look at that one is that one of the ones you can i don’t know it’s gorgeous though [Music] there you are so happy show the camera yeah don’t move [Music] uh has my name on it has my name on it ah so pretty what lovely chopsticks the one thing you have to try when you’re in takyama is hid beef sushi fat is softer hid beef is a famous brand of wagyu beef and here at takyama you can enjoy it sushi style my first time too that’s why i’m seeing the meat is perfectly seared that it just melts in your mouth with a rich umami flavor for the topping you can choose between salt or sauce we decided to try the sauce [Music] it’s so cute it’s so you ready yeah almost done yes cheers [Music] that’s so good it’s so good oh my god it’s so soft so let’s get one more oh hey oh perfect perfect there’s a smile they serve it on a rice cracker which means you can eat the plate too my lips stick to it [Music] it was so good we had to get a second helping this time with salt there you go that one looks like it’s got more cheers cheers [Music] oh that’s so good mhm oh that makes it taste different it does yeah a little luxurious break during our sightseeing salt i think the salt yeah the soy sauce is good that salt was really good [Music] it’s a japanese sake theme park oh that’s so cute our last stop was the fasaka sake brewery for some sake tasting so cute i love this the uh float oh we’re going to see them later oh really yeah oh i’m so so excited so excited this way that’s the that’s the hushy rest that’s a bubble oh yeah yeah yeah that’s what i wanted it’s so cute [Music] inside they have a wide selection of local sake [Music] and now here’s the fun part gotcha over here i got that one i understood that one you put money into the capsule toy machine to get a cup and a coin which you can use to try a sake of your choice there we go you got red what’d you get black oh so cute and a metal oh that’s even cuter is this sake is this what you use ah it is a unique almost gamelike way to enjoy sake i see i see put these in here [Music] it’s so cute just move to the side yes there you go and cheers cheers [Music] that’s really good yeah it’s really good i really like that one you really taste the yuzu in that one i like this one a lot that’s a good choice yeah that’s a good choice this one’s really good too that’s really smooth flavor this one’s my favorite [Music] that’s really easy to drink that one’s dangerous i really like this one i love this one just set the timer when you put it in i think so yeah so you just count me down and i’ll stop while we’re here let’s try some hot sake too and then we have a 2 minute timer 2 minutes is recommended so i put it in and then cool two minutes two one time for sake [Music] so cool be careful be careful it says wait a little bit because it’s hot yeah that’s hot need to wait it’s ceramic all right time to try some hot sake under a beautiful tree let’s try very hot no it’s just right careful careful is it a little sip breathe it in good right yeah bit strong a little bit little bit strong but i love hot sake cuz it’s like feel it i think the yuzu would be really good hot yuzu you should try that next time [Music] nothing like hot sake perfect weather perfect weather for hot sake mhm very cool all very cool so full so how was your first time in takayama what do you think really good i love it it’s beautiful gorgeous the river the buildings the food what was your favorite thing that you ate h beef the hab beef yeah the sushi the sushi the sushi on top the salt was really good what was the favorite thing that you saw [Music] that you really want to take home if you could i could take home yeah any sab bubble yes yes yes and it was your first time trying sake yes yes and you even bought it yes it was really yummy it was yuzu flavored i love it taking that home with me perfect for the
