brunai is one of the richest countries in the world and many people haven’t even heard of it before the country is led by a sultan Hass Al buia who happens to be one of the richest men in the world due to Bern’s abundance of petroleum and natural gas they also have a population of over 80% Muslim and some of the most important sites to see in the country are the extravagant mosques so today I’m with a local friend mamad Al mammad just call me who will be taking me around this country and showing me everything brunai has to offer all right good morning from brunai so today we got another day exploring the beautiful country of brunai so it’s going to be a really awesome day going to check out some mosques eat some more food and explore this amazing country so here we go let’s get the day started now we are headed to the Palace you can see the gold dome right here and this is the biggest Palace in the world right yeah biggest in the world istana Nur imana Nur IM IM and you’ve been inside before yeah so they only open it like like during during the end of of Ramadan it’s the only time they open it and you can go inside this is it right here yeah the tourist the biggest Palace tourists come to take pictures got security guard right here it’s crazy to see it’s the biggest residential Palace in the whole entire world so the soul of Brun lives here and all his family members I heard have like a lot of palaces how is it inside tell them it’s very big very big very big and very luxurious where have you entered in there only in the in the lobby oh you can only enter in the lobby lobby so most of it you can but I bet it’s beautiful beautiful you can literally see water fountains right there let’s try to get a close-up view through the gates oh look at this this is super nice Mercedes just entered dang that was a relative pretty interesting place so we’re going to go ahead and check out the next area of buai we have came to the beautiful meid I say Omar SAS it’s a long name how do you say it Omar Ali sain Omar Ali sain so this is the Omar Ali saudin mosque and this is one of the biggest iconic things in brunai whenever you look up brunai you’re going to usually see this mosque Omar Ali sain Mosk Omar Ali saudin is actually the current monarchs father so he was like the 28th sulan of brunai look at that golden dome it’s beautiful from ftin Palestine brother looks really cool it’s really awesome they built this whole Masid on a lake we’re going to go make wo and then go pray inside before you enter here’s the visiting hours for non-muslims inside the mosques Friday is closed visitors can’t come and it’s usually open every other day from 8:00 a.m. to noon and then they have these other time slots so check out these time slots if you want to visit they have these right outside for tourists to actually come and visit the m um cuz if you’re wearing shorts you can wear these and this is the Meed [Music] [Music] wow we just finish to prayer and now we’re walking around man this meid so beautiful this is where the Imam usually gives theas up here also an escalator right inside of the measure that’s pretty interesting in the prayer Hall this is so beautiful super big Meed so this is one of the oldest most important mosques in buai Alum how you doing yeah pretty sure I’m PR right yeah alhamdulillah so where you go up this uh with my friend Kong Bai I like this mosque a lot yeah so beautiful yeah so f look at this amazing I actually just looked up but this is the golden dome right here this the inside of it look at the detail and masallah alum PL plas nice to meet you where you from Brother ni so we’re in the back of the meid and it’s really cool it’s really just built on this Lake usually they have this walking path open I don’t know why it’s closed right now but you can see you can walk around the lake taking some views of the meid so it’s very Central in the city center very beautiful area to just come chill hang out and we’re going to go to this water Village that’s actually really close to here it’s called Kong AER it’s not too far away walking so we’re going to head there in a little let’s go and look at that Dome that Dome stands out that is the golden dome so the locals been telling me it’s real gold and that is pretty crazy if it’s real good and look at this shirt my man is wearing that is amazing so people have the shirt of the maid one of the most iconic spots wow maid Omar Ali sa beautiful nice to meet you manum so right here in the Heart of the City Center we have campong AER this is the biggest water Village in the world and we are going to get a boat to go over there sometimes they call this place like the Venice of the East but it’s going to be really interesting going there there’s all these boats you can just come get a ride real quick pay him a few dollars they take you around so this is it right here campong AER the largest water Village in the world hello hello how you doing what’s your name nice to meet you your name w w yes my man is taking us around the whole river he’s giving us a tour we’re going deep in the river this is amazing brunai nature scene it’s so green in brunai there’s so many Forest Greenery everywhere honestly very Green Country so we’re going to go inside right now go check out campong AER here’s a close-up look some of the houses in the village how many houses do you think are here I think thousand thousands that’s so cool the people in this Village go to this meas right here it’s super close they like to live here right so he’s telling me generational people live here yeah people just like to live here they this them are looking through the L but some still want to stay here this water Village in person is crazy big I I’m actually shocked to see that this many people live here wow look at this we got a rainbow too campong a rainbow this is perfect when I tell y’all you can explore this place probably for one whole day not not even one whole day longer than that it’s so massive and you see a lot of people do is they Park their cars on land and this is where their houses are wow they got a whole firefighter Department here there is also a mosque right here what you can pull up on boats to a mosque this is amazing I’ve never seen something like this a firefighter station and right here is a police station there’s a whole police station for kongai here the biggest water Village in the world I was not expecting to see a police station a firefighter station mosques they got restaurants here everything SCH oh high school that’s a high school yeah that’s a high school yeah no way is there Elementary Middle School yeah in konger in k College college Elementary Middle High School High School After High School people can go to Army oh so a lot of people here usually go to Army yeah so they don’t really need to go to Mainland why do they go to Mainland just to get food uh entertainment food for shopping mall so they usually go to Mainland for food and shopping only entertainment yeah entertainment yeah and the un Le they just live their lives in the water Villages they have foots Court there basketball court they have a basketball court yeah people got uh housing schem yeah so they move to so they move to the mainland oh you live here you live here over there over there let’s go to your house and this is a museum yeah cultural campong AER cultural and tourism Gallery crazy that they have all these houses here a water Village and then right across is these big buildings malls entertainments and then here’s the water Village it’s such a different world but really cool exploring the water Village konger we’re going to head back now oh look at that you can see the mosque the alar Ali sa mus thank go explore some more around brunai so next to the meid is a huge Park so a lot of locals come out here to the park they do picnics and you can see the water Village over there the lake and in this Frame is the meid wow what a sight what a sight that’s so nice so this is a great place to come just enjoy your day come for Sunset all the locals hanging out very peaceful chill here man so chill one of the most chill places I’ve ever seen in my life during Ramadan people open there here in the park that we were just at yeah wow so they just come break their fast chill there that’s a nice place after that you go to here then they come to this me the Vibes man now we’re going to this place to get some food yeah what’s the name of it Soo Pabo so here they expert in making brunai Delicacies so if you want brunai and food you can come here you come to soo Pabo okay yeah Soo Pabo all the sign says reserved Soo Pabo customers customers oh it’s kind of like we’re in Kong are on the stils so restaurants on the stils Salto Pabo here we go it’s beautiful man stto pble the whole restaurant is packed and look right here they have this really big mosque right next to it they just have all these beautiful mosques all over brunai so got beautiful sunsets amazing restaurant it’s time to go eat let’s go get some food let’s go try out brunian Delicacies look at the views here it’s incredible sitting right by the water let’s take a look at the menu order something what is soo soo is like full inam oh it’s far it’s like f but but brunai brunai we’re definitely getting some sto all right you want rice right rice dishes what drink do you recommend okay you like T special TC special ice what’s the difference between TC ice and TC special uh TC special is very very special um TC uh we mix with milk only oh okay but this is special very very special very very special yeah all right they have three layers oh three layers TC specializ oh TC is only two yeah okay I get the special tell them what what the reason for the mosque is so that the workers can pray here and every single establishment has to have a place for workers to pray in brunai yes wow that’s pretty amazing so that’s the reason you see this mosque right here on the SS bah we got all our food right here so we got the soo very popular super Bernar TC special looks really good it’s like taric on the top and then you got the syrup on the bottom banana fritters got the Salted chicken dish got your Soo so with TC special you’re supposed to actually mix it right yeah let’s give it a mix let’s try this it’s so much better mixed up I tried like this type of TC one time in Malaysia but I didn’t mix it up I was just drinking it layer by layer so at the end I was drinking like the sugar but but when it’s mixed up it’s so good salted chicken here we go way different taste than I was expecting way different I don’t even know how to describe the taste but it’s they use duck egg for this oh M listen to to that we’re eating and thean started going off so we got thean with the sunset view M this is beautiful we’re actually going to go pray there for M inside of this Masala they have a masala connected to the restaurant let’s give the sto a try I’m excited to try the soo how is it you’re almost done I have even started it so good first Soo experience in brunai the buayan F that’s exactly how it tastes like buayan F I love F it’s one of my favorite dishes I get to eat this dish every day you eat it a lot Soo no why the oil oh that makes sense over time is too much so this is brunai man amazing amazing restaurant if you come to brunai this is a must come here for a sunset time you’ll love brunai trust me so it’s been a great day great meal I really like this place like telling youall it’s fire one of the best places I’ve tried in Southeast Asia and The Vibes what a sunset man it’s like the perfect ending to the meal some must try restaurant amazing Vibes here now we’re going to go pray man here is the masalah this prayer room right here here on the stilts with this view we just finished up and I came to find my boy inside the restaurant look at the restaurant look at the art they got right here Soto Pabu the meid and then we got the water Villages really nice interior like the painting a lot so what a day man it’s been dope we’re going to go explore around the car maybe go check out some night markets let’s go see so my bro alif is showing me around and he brought me to another night Marketplace and it’s just in a parking lot so there’s a lot of night markets out here man brunai is very Lively very Lively it’s crazy like we’ve been driving around we saw like three four night markets already favorite delicacy this is the unique one the chicken tailbone chicken tailbone tailbone right here is good it’s your favorite uh that’s my favorite because it’s going a lot of f I’m going to try chicken tailbone ton King ton King ton King which one favorite toning toning all right we got to try tonking then second favorite uh wing chicken wings chicken wings yeah oh thank you we got bismah oo my turn let’s see first time trying it it’s good but it’s really fatty very it’s probably the most fatty chicken I’ve ever had in my life but the locals love it love it they love it tailbone tailbone it’s pretty good much cherol but I don’t know if I can eat it too much like you said too much cholesterol what is this area this is yayasan complex Yaya complex complex yes and a lot of people just come hang out here at night yeah on the weekend M this is also new also new how new like recently like after Co yeah he was basically telling me like after Co like building a lot of stuff in brunai so it’s pretty Lively oh they got taric cheese I think I’m going to get this tar I love tar oh okay it’s my favorite drink what is Legend Legend is Legend like they try to make it like viral like Legend legendary oh legendary Legend means legendary oh what I was wondering what it was now tar with cheese that’s that’s a game changer that’s like boy T’s already so good but with the cheese it’s over this is one of the top drinks out there in the whole world y’all got to try tar with cheese you got a lot out here got some churros dipping sauce chendol is chendol Malaysian or Indonesian or where uh it’s still on a bet but it’s a m Cuisine it’s still a m Cuisine but they usually debate where it’s from same asak yeah nasak am debate oh you’re friends with him everyone knows each other in brunai actually I’m a local artist oh he’s a local artist oh you
