Viaje ETM PREMIUM SANTIAGO CASTRO en bus Marcopolo G8 Scania SWKK35 | Ando en Bus
Hello everyone! how are you? My name is ‘Ariel Cruz Pizarro’ and in this episode of the series ‘Ando en Bus’ I took one of the most beautiful routes in ‘Chile’, trip ‘Santiago – Castro’ in a new ‘Premium’ bus from ‘ETM’, ‘ Marcopolo G8’ with boat crossing included, we will board a ferry, today’s trip is ‘Santiago – Puerto Montt – Ancud – Castro’ we cross to ‘Chiloé’ by ferry, and there are 1,210 km away Monday, December 9, 2024, on a hot afternoon I am at the ‘Terminal Sur’ of ‘Santiago’ to take this ‘Premium’ bus from ‘ETM’. This is the ticket office, it says that the bus leaves from platforms 39 to 49 and above is the numbering of the platforms or platforms of the ‘ETM’ terminal, it leaves near the ‘Eme Bus’ buses, and the ticket office is on the other side near where it is. that bus ‘Talca, Paris and London’ after a while, the ‘Premium’ bus from ‘ETM’ finally appeared for this trip that I wanted to take for a long time, also getting to ‘Chiloé’ on a ‘Premium’ bus, quite an adventure and I just got a nice ‘Marcopolo G8’, new, what a pleasure, hahaha to get on the bus, I showed the ticket on my cell phone now I’m getting on the second floor of the bus which is the one with the ‘Premium’ seats with 180° recline there are 20 ‘Premium’ seats on the second floor, configuration of 2 and 1 there is a row of individual seats, all with their separations and plenty of space. It is the only ‘Premium’ bus that travels to ‘Chiloé’ (ambient sound ) the passengers are now getting on the bus, and I have to return to my area because I will travel in the panoramic window seats, here are seats 1, 2 and I will travel in 3 above is the numbering of the seats and for the camera, I transformed the seat in its horizontal position as a bed so you can see the recline and we will see the details of these wonderful seats on the bus ‘Marcopolo Paradiso 1800 DD G8’ it will be a great trip to ‘Chiloé’, hahaha 19: 00 hours. Schedule fulfilled, the trip begins to think that 15 years ago, I came to take photos of these buses on the platforms I still take them and the ‘ETM’ buses always seemed pretty to me and now I am here, on top of the bus, starting this epic route We will see very nice things. I not only take the photos, but I also travel on the buses. ‘Santiago’ seems wonderful to me . On the other hand, there was slow traffic in some areas of the highway , in others it was more expeditious, and it was very hot. we are It’s practically summer, not yet officially but the sun beats down strongly and steadily, you can feel the summer heat here in ‘Santiago’, in the southern area, we have a stop in ‘San Bernardo’ the whereabouts of ‘Colón’, where they climbed some passengers and the other important milestone, which marks the exit from ‘Santiago’ the end of the metropolis, for now, is the crossing of the ‘Maipo’ river that also supplies drinking water to a large part of the city including my home, hahaha on the bus screens, one of the ‘ETM’ corporate videos began to appear showing the arrival of some buses through the mountain range, they come from ‘Brazil’ so this bus also arrived that way and then they show several active safety technologies of these ‘Scania’ buses, most of the ‘ETM’ buses have ‘Scania’ chassis and engines with these technologies, I take this opportunity to greet you, thank you very much for tuning in and for following these videos made with great love, these seats ‘Premium’ have instructions, a step by step the first part has to do with the legrests that in this version of ‘Marcopolo’ have a velcro in the previous ‘G7’ and ‘New G7’ they were hooks when releasing the velcro, we have the normal position of the ‘Living Room Bed’ seat and if we raise it, we can obtain the horizontal position of the legrest on the side, left in this individual seat, I have the recline button, you press it and with your back I carry the seat backwards, up to 180° this is life and comfort, hahaha these are the new ‘Marcopolo’ seats, from this generation 8, ‘G8’ you can see the space for packages, above and these separations that divide to the seats At a stop, I took the opportunity to show this. The seats come with memory gel and head support. The seat itself and the experience it offers is super comfortable and, due to current regulations or laws, it comes with a three-point seat belt, much better still. Above our heads, we have a reading light and an air conditioning outlet. The reading light is also adjustable, at least in the position, you can move it. There are also ‘USB’ ports, although you need a long cable to use it well. Here you see my cell phone charging. On the other side, I have the coaster, which also serves for bottles and the heating that is seen below above, the bus has a sunroof, but with polarized a television, the screen with information on the speed of the bus and this is the overview of the panoramic window of the ‘ Marcopolo G8’ (ambient sound) towards the back, we have several television screens and the lighting of the bus can change, this is more advanced in the trip , finally, there are privacy curtains and also curtains on the sides right at this time I all the sun comes and the curtain protects me , some of you already know, but I’m coming from ‘Japan’, I enjoyed my vacation, I had a great time, I was there for about 1 month and a little more obviously there are many videos to publish, but that will take a long time I arrived on … Thursday the 5th, and this trip is on Monday the 9th, that is, a little time difference while we see the beautiful landscapes of the central area of ’Chile’ I will tell you a little here in ‘Chile’, the high season for hotels and transportation It is considered from 15 from December to March 15, although the peak of vacations and tourists are the months of January and February. Traveling there is more expensive, what happens is that the school and university year usually ends in the fortnight of December so, I saw the weather forecast ‘Puerto Montt’ and ‘Chiloé’ were without rain in a couple of days I saw that this bus was also It was with the panoramic seats available with a price that is not yet high season, it seemed like an ideal time before everyone travels and everything is full and with the ‘Japan’ trip it happens to me that I am with a bit of jet lag with a lot tired, sleeping too much early and waking up early so if I’m going to be tired, why not relax on a bus? I travel lying down in this wonderful seat , I have the entire trip to sleep, and when I am awake, I will see beautiful landscapes. It was a very good idea . Something that I love is that in ‘Japan’ it gets dark super early, already at 5 in the afternoon, 6 the afternoon seems like night and here, in summer, these sunset lights that we see are from 9 at night. I always valued the long days in ‘Chile’ in the summer but now I value them much more, hahaha I’m on the first floor of the bus in this part there are various information about the bus and the company ‘Empresa de Transportes Maullín’ is the commercial name, ‘ETM’ ‘Eurobus Limitada’ is the legal name. We saw the entrance door, this door is for the seats below, ‘Salón Cama’ in front is the bathroom door, the green light indicates that it is available on the right is the crew door, 2 drivers and 1 assistant on this bus and we have the staircase that connects to the second floor of the bus ( ambient sound) now I am inside the same bathroom, I greet you, we see the mirror below there is a sink with a double faucet: water and soap below, with our foot we can deploy the trash can there is toilet paper, although these bathrooms are only for urinating, we saw the flush button, a tinted window, handrail and below is the chemical toilet, this is the bathroom of the ‘Marcopolo G8’ and on the door there is a coat rack and the lock (ambient sound) we see the bathroom from outside this ‘Marcopolo G8’ bus in the ‘Premium’ version of ‘ETM’ with what I told you, I went to the bathroom because I was already starting to get tired , a pretty strong tiredness, it’s a little strange to describe but it gives me a deep sleep, I really, really want to sleep and that’s what I did, that’s why I bought the ticket in this ‘Premium’ seat to travel, but also to have a restful sleep and rest a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot (ambient sound) 05.30 in the morning, already on Tuesday, December 10 and we see the beautiful sunrise in the south of ‘Chile’ as it is a rainy area, it is beautiful, but at the same time strange to see a sunrise like this, a beautiful spectacle certainly seeing the ‘Osorno’ volcano , the colors of the sky, the tones of the clouds, the cows that it is sometimes possible to see in the fields the fog that sometimes appears in the meadows, I slept very well, and when I woke up I had these views . How wonderful! The south of ‘Chile’ is beautiful (ambient sound) the panoramic seats were all free, something even rarer and I took advantage of being on the other side to see the city of ‘Llanquihue’, lake ‘Llanquihue’ and the volcano ‘Osorno’ The best view of the road in this part of the route would be the view from seat 1, left side, a marvel (ambient sound) this schedule and bus is the fastest way to get to ‘Puerto Montt’ in Other services, including various ‘ETM’ schedules, buses pass through ‘Osorno’ some also pass through ‘Temuco’ and ‘Puerto Varas’ but this trip was direct from ‘Santiago’ to ‘Puerto Montt’ at a few points of on the road the bus stopped for a few minutes to take some passengers but it was a super direct trip we will see later with the tables, but this trip is one of the most competitive there are many great buses there are also many plane services and frequencies there is a lot to enjoy between ‘Santiago’ and ‘Puerto Montt’ as a fan of transportation and also ‘Puerto Montt’ is interesting as a node of the salmon industry as a port for passengers and goods, crossing routes such as the ‘Carretera Austral’, the other route that we will take towards ‘Chiloé’ ‘ The conurbation of ‘Puerto Montt’ has about 300,000 inhabitants and is an area with a lot of life. The ‘Puerto Montt’ bus terminal is next to the sea. Now there is a very nice park on the waterfront before I forget in ‘Santiago’ one of the passengers just told me that he watched the channel that he enjoyed the trips watching them with his family so I would like to thank him for his good vibes and for your good vibes . Truly, thank you for enjoying what you share with love. I invite you to subscribe and let us go much further, hahaha in ‘Puerto Montt’ most of the passengers got off and I took the opportunity to take photos and record this seat better ‘Premium 180°’ I don’t know who invented it, but it was a genius, traveling like this is super comfortable. In the meantime, let’s look at the file. Unit 330 of ‘ETM’ is a double-decker bus ‘Marcopolo Paradiso 1800 DD G8’ chassis ‘Scania’ K410 CB’, registered in October 2023 with 20 ‘Premium 180°’ seats and 12 ‘Salon Cama’ seats I am traveling in seat 3 at this time, ‘ETM’ has 100 buses registered, there are 11 ‘Premium’ buses units 2023 to 2025, a reserve fleet 2022 the newest are a pair of ‘Modasa Zeus 5’ perhaps more will arrive later there are 8 buses ‘Marcopolo G8’ in different colors and there is 1 ‘Marcopolo New G7’ bus left from 2022, the units from previous years have already been sold, They are in other companies of these ‘New G7’, I traveled on the 320 and 324 they have episodes of ‘Ando en Bus’ from ‘Puerto Montt’ and ‘Valdivia’ to ‘Santiago’ you can enjoy them on the channel the ticket cost me 55,080 Chilean pesos, 56 dollars, 1,125 Mexican pesos and other currencies appear. We see the table with the prices of all the ‘Santiago – Puerto Montt’ buses where there are quite a bit of competition, 4 companies with ‘Premium’ buses and the table of buses that go to ‘Chiloé’, to ‘Castro’, where there are 3 companies, the price of my ticket is mid-season on ruta.cl, one of the platforms of ticket sales that precisely sells ‘ETM’ tickets , in addition to comparing, it is important that you look at the place of origin or departure of the bus in this case it was the ‘Terminal Sur’ and after you choose the bus, your schedule, your seat The payment method can be bank transfer debit cards, credit cards and ‘Paypal’ the ticket arrives by email in ‘PDF’ a reminder email arrives a day before and you can show the ‘PDF’ on your cell phone to upload later At the end of the trip you will receive a survey to rate the service that results in the notes that appear on the platform from ‘Santiago’, there are 13 daily departures of ‘ETM’ buses that mainly go to ‘Puerto Montt’ and ‘Castro’ with buses ‘Salon Bed’ and ‘Premium’ buses there are 4 schedules that leave from ‘Las Condes’, a boarding point that I have shown in other videos and the rest leave from the ‘Terminal Sur’ in the ‘Super Map’, this trip will be in the terminal municipality of ‘Castro’ on this map you can geographically tour all the trips a giant and very sincere thank you to the members of the channel to whom they give a ‘Super Thank You’, to the subscribers, you give life to this just like those who bet on my work buying my books I am a writer and editor of books, thanks to that I can take these trips and adventures again. We were that the bus had to leave ‘Puerto Montt’, you see all the buses that are on the platforms arriving from ‘Santiago’, ‘Concepción’, ‘Temuco’, ‘Valdivia’, from other cities the small buses go to the nearby cities, this part of the terminal has rural buses and we have to continue towards the ‘Chiloé’ archipelago, a legendary trip (ambient sound) at the beginning, I told you that this route is one of the most beautiful of ‘Chile’ obviously, in terms of taste , I think that everyone has an idea of what they like most on the channel. I have had the opportunity to take very nice routes both by bus and by plane, by train and even on boat trips . I have been very blessed and fortunate, I thank God for that , however, of the routes that only circulate within ‘Chile’ without counting the international ones , I believe that this route has a very special charm both for the nature and for the fact that it still we have to cross the canal ‘Chacao’ using boats, all vehicles, including trucks and buses, the entire connection of the continent with the archipelago is made with ferries or ferries, which operate all day although obviously more frequently during daylight hours (the bus goes down the ramp to enter the ship) The sea! We are so close to the sea, and on the horizon you can see ‘Chiloé’. The boat staff organizes the vehicles. We are waiting to see if we can get in. If there is some space, they gave us the pass, as we say colloquially , and the driver quite talent, expertise and experience has to stay behind the truck, in the middle row for the drivers of this route they have to do this on all trips we are on the ship ‘Ruende’, the name of a mythological dog ‘Chiloé’ is full of myths and legends, and quite curious and mysterious stories as a passenger, you do not need to pay extra for the crossing , it is actually covered in the value of your ticket , the boats charge per vehicle, not per person, for example, this bus pays about 45 dollars and the Cars or vans pay about 16 dollars for the crossing, each company has its rates, but they are similar. What I love about this trip is that you can get off the bus and spend a while on the deck of the boat, there are people who stay inside. from the bus, I always try to get out enjoying the sea air, the views of the sky, the sea, all this wonder is something that makes this route so beautiful, so special and so different from the others. Furthermore, since there is no rain, we had a beautiful day The views are very beautiful and the sea is relatively calm. They are currently building a bridge although it has been going on for quite a few years, and when everything is ready, everything will be very different. Here you see me enjoying this morning crossing here in the ‘Chacao Channel’ How beautiful it is be here! depending on how the bus is inside the boat Sometimes it is possible to take good photos and videos from the outside but it is complicated when you have so many large vehicles on the sides. I walked around the bus to take the photos. The videos are the best time because although the route is photogenic as a passenger There are not many areas of the same bus where I can take nice photos. You already saw that in ‘Santiago’ the sun hits us in front of us and in these terminals, where we will pass, the spaces are narrow in characteristics. These ships usually have these stairs that are somewhat narrow and steep. In case of rain, there is an area with seating that has windows with a view, also a cafeteria where they sell breakfast and different products . On the return trip, returning from ‘Chiloé’ from the boat I was able to see some black-necked swans and their chicks can just be seen on the shore, can you? Can you see them? It is a very beautiful scene and lastly, inside these boats there are also bathrooms, time is limited, and you have to be inside the bus by the time you reach the other shore. We arrive at the town of ‘Chacao’, we are in ‘Chiloé’! The ferry trip took us about 30 minutes and speaking of boat crossings, I can tell you about the routes they have in case you are interested in living such an experience on buses, all the trips that go to ‘Ancud’, ‘ Castro’ and ‘Quellón’ from the mainland will have this crossing by boat. You can reach ‘Chiloé’ from ‘Santiago’ as in the case of this trip but there are also buses that start in ‘Concepción’, ‘Temuco’, ‘Valdivia’ and ‘Puerto Montt’ itself on the side of the ‘Carretera Austral’, the section between ‘Puerto Montt – Hornopirén – Chaitén’ includes boat navigation because the road is interrupted and finally, you can cross the ‘Strait of Magallanes’ on the international buses that leave from ‘Punta Arenas’ towards ‘Argentina’ to ‘Río Grande’ and ‘Ushuaia’. I have this last one, ‘Punta Arenas – Ushuaia’ here on the ‘Youtube’ channel, it is a beautiful trip, wonderful and as for the trip itself that we are taking now we are in another of the idyllic vacation places here in ‘Chile ‘ The ‘Chiloé’ archipelago is one of those dream vacation destinations , there are many beautiful cities and towns, beautiful landscapes, forests, as well as cultural heritage, churches, myths, legends, typical dishes and that island condition that makes it be and feel different from continental ‘Chile’ there are very special cultural things here in ‘Chiloé’ (ambient sound) we are arriving at the city of ‘Ancud’, the first large or relatively important city of ‘Chiloé’ . ‘Chiloé’ itself is an island, the big island of ‘Chiloé’, and it is also an archipelago, there is a group of islands next to the big island. The first memory I have of ‘Ancud’ is something anecdotal in 2001, my family made a vacation trip by car from ‘Santiago’ and we arrived here, to ‘Ancud’ passing through different cities and towns that day it was raining a lot, we were only there for one day, typical of ‘Chiloé’ it rains a lot and I remember that we went into a restaurant and I had a soup, a consommé with the sound of the rain, with this typical wooden architecture ooooh how delicious and what a good memory the delicious food is here, the food, the flavors, they are very delicious, we are already in the municipal terminal of ‘Ancud’, it is important to point out that ‘ETM’ and ‘Queilén Bus’ use the municipal terminals and ‘Cruz del Sur’ uses other own terminals and that bus ‘Jordán’ which is next door, comes from ‘Concepción’ they travel at night like us and arrive in the morning that is another way to get to ‘Chiloé’ from ‘Chiloé’, as context, I can say some things because I have come on vacation several times and Obviously I know the Chilean culture and history, I believe that this condition of dream destination was combined by several factors in the 1990s and 2000s, but mainly in the 90s the state television ‘TVN’ made many wonderful soap operas, in beautiful places in ‘Chile’ went to ‘Easter Island’ or ‘Rapa Nui’ to do ‘Iorana’ and here in ‘Chiloé’, in ‘Dalcahue’, they made ‘La Fiera’ which was a super popular television series I think they also exported it to other countries, even now in recent years, ‘Mega’ has replicated part of that formula and they recorded ‘Isla Paraíso’ here in ‘Chiloé’ ‘Al sur del corazón’ is also in the south, but not here in ‘Puerto Octay’ which is a little further north so, people have seen the landscapes of ‘Chiloé’ and also part of the culture of ‘Chiloé’ and the south of ‘Chile’ for complete seasons how not to fall in love with these wonderful places ‘Chiloé’ is the continuation of the ‘Cordillera de la Costa’ so they are areas of many hills, of hills, it is not a flat island , there are some areas that can only be reached by boat, very remote there are many fields, livestock with cows and lambs, an infinite number of varieties of potatoes, potatoes of different varieties. colors and nuances of flavors is a mix of the countryside and the sea, because there is also a lot of fishing, traditional dishes like curanto have a lot of everything , so of course they make you want to come on vacation , they are beautiful places, the food is delicious and abundant, The people are friendly, there is a lot to explore, many places to visit and although the south of ‘Chile’ has a reputation for being expensive, ‘Chiloé’ itself is not that expensive so… ideal, it is worth it . We are now entering the city of ‘Castro’ which is the largest city and town of ‘Chiloé’ from here you have buses or transportation to almost all the towns the commune of ‘Castro’ has about 45,000 inhabitants, as a reference and something typical of this city, a postcard, are the stilt houses that are houses that are not in the ground but are above the water, the sea in this case, standing with sticks , some still function as houses, they were cheap houses but several have been bought and remodeled to be hotels, hostels and obviously they charge for the tourist experience there . Finally, the ‘ETM’ bus arrives at the municipal terminal. The two terminals are close to the city center, blocks from the city square with its famous church, very accessible and in this terminal you have buses from all the towns, some of them. They also have ferry crossings that I remember to ‘Achao’ and ‘Mechuque’ island, it’s time to cross I hope you enjoyed the trip a lot, a pleasure and an honor to share an experience like this with all of you, I am the last passenger to get off, so vary, it was not, hahaha (ambient sound) there was another passenger below, and we see the 12 ‘Salón Cama’ seats on the first floor, so you already know the whole bus, a beautiful ‘ETM’ unit, a trip with beautiful landscapes from the heart, I wish you the best, may you have Have a nice day and take advantage of every day of your lives . May God bless you very much and we will see you on more adventures on more trips by public transportation. Bye, they are very well!

Hola, buenas noches.
Panoramico o central?
Ojala me puedas responder 🤜🏻🤛🏻 y excelentes videos. Muchas gracias.
Saludos.
Muy bonito video Ariel, se pasó como siempre. Sobre los amaneceres en el sur de Chile, concuerdo en que son hermosos. Recuerdo uno muy bonito que tuve empezando el otoño de 2023 cerca de San José de La Mariquina.
Saludos
