A night drive on Tokyo EXPWY and Tokyo Metropolitan EXPWY.
This drive takes you from the Dobashi Entrance on Tokyo EXPWY to Tokyo Station Yaesu Parking, which is located under Tokyo Station. It takes you along the inner circular route (C1), the Fukagawa and Daiba Route of Tokyo Metropolitan EXPWY.

Tokyo EXPWY is a 2-km-long expressway connected to Tokyo Metropolitan EXPWY, often mistakenly believed to be part of it.

This road is toll-free even though it is located in the central Tokyo shopping districts of Ginza and Yurakucho. Many shops are located under it, and their rent covers the road maintenance costs.

The road opened in 1959 and will close in April 2025. Plans are underway to develop it into a pedestrian promenade in the heart of Tokyo.

    KK線が今日4月5日の20時になくなるからこの風景も見納めだな。色々思い出がある道だったから寂しいね。

    首都高というと渋滞が当たり前のイメージがありますが、結構スムーズですね。夜8時～９時ころの撮影かと思いますが、オフィスの明かりが煌々と点いているのが印象的です。
