The cherry blossoms are in full bloom on the promenade of the Magomegawa River, which flows through Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, where I was born and grew up. It’s not a particularly famous place. Although there are only 50 cherry trees, it is named “Sakura (cherry blossoms) Road” only during this period. It is a place for locals to relax.
