all right everybody totally Buenos Diaz to another traveling Costa Rica vlog here today we’re in Novo Arnol Guanacaste Province this is a quiet little town in the mountains of Guanacaste right under Lake Arnol which is right over this hill we’re going to be going down there and checking it out we’ll do a walk and talking tour around the various parts of town here as well as some drone footage we’ll check out there’s a cool little kids park over here let’s start this video off i can see the kids came out kids came out to play soccer football football as it is oh they’re running yeah cardio’s cardio man so we’re just doing uh the cross country trip right now coming from La Fortuna so check the channel for those videos be sure to hit like hit subscribe right here on YouTube turn on requests i’ve got a few comments about No Way Bar and all to come check it out so I’ve been here before but this is kind of the first time I’m slowing it down and just walking around and seeing what’s going on so that’s cool that’s cool we’ll uh we’ll do a quick walk up here to the church and see what it looks like from here there’s a cool uh rock thing rock word rock word arrangement man it’s early it’s early brain’s still firing up but we’ve got more places to go so this is this is cool this is nice nice steps going up here nice church too okay and look at Oh we’ll get a better view at the top get a better view at the top I’m sure cool so here’s the church it’s a Tuesday morning right now it’s a Tuesday morning so not yet open that’s okay and what can we see off in the distance here so I can see the lake right over there that’s That’s cool some of the mountains off in the distance over there tilleran the next place I’m going to try to go is like over in that direction you can just see the mountains there too now before we head into town to the main commercial area let’s talk about how to get here to Noeo Arnol and take a look at some of that drone footage so to get to Noeo Arnold guys the nearest international airport is in Liberia where you land probably get your rental car and start heading south then you head in towards the mountains through Tilleran there and around the lake this whole trip will take you about two hours now let’s start the drone shots right where we’re standing at the start of this video at the church it’s just a little bit outside of the downtown area there where all the commercial district is very interesting big steeple there i like that here’s the commercial area see it’s easy to find the main road going through town is left and right there and then everything’s kind of built off around that there’s like a little I don’t know how you’d say it inlet a mini lake that’s attached to the bigger lake back behind there surrounded by mountains here’s the whole landscape shot this will give you an idea of the scale of this lake it’s massive the biggest lake in Costa Rica very interesting and I’d like to take this opportunity guys to say thank you to everybody who’s buying me a coffee maria Campbell bought 10 coffees i can assure you I drink all those coffees with some kind words about the video in La Fortuna that was the last video that went up we did some shots in La Fortuna that’s a really cool place to go la Fortuna is just a little bit further than where we are here in Noeo Arnal and then we might as well finish it off with some butter we’re just going to do a clean shot guys this is the road that will actually take you to La Fortuna if you continue along this road maybe an hour you see it cuts down through town there and it starts winding around the lake and it’s very scenic there’s a few spots where the trees break and you can get a great view of the lake there’s a whole host of various hotels and accommodations options just an incredibly smooth shot that’s what I like to see i’m patting myself on the back right now okay so now we’ll do the short drive to the commercial area here in Nova Arnol the dog there is going to he’s directing traffic the place where we started the video guys is just off to the left here so I hope you enjoyed some of that drone footage from up here on the mountain above the lake what do we got over on the left here or is that a soda looks kind of sodaish yeah we’ve got a soda off on the left so that’s interesting i haven’t had breakfast yet so maybe uh we’ll try to find something like that we do got some businesses around here it’s more quiet down here though even though it’s not very far from the downtown area there’s another soda off on the right side so for those if you’re just joining the Costa Rica travel sodas are like the local restaurants where you can get usually cheaper food sometimes they only accept cash but I often go there and get casado casado it’s my favorite dish here in Costa Rica because it just has everything it has everything the body needs and I think it’s delicious so now here we are in the downtown area let’s jump out of the car and walk around here for a little bit all right all right cool so let’s uh let’s just take a look around at some of the stuff that’s here there’s a lawyer’s office right there sherwin Williams for everybody doing home renovation projects what else we got what else we got going on here guys there’s a popular restaurant right up the way here got a veterinarian we’ve got a meat shop got a shoe store what’s this place looks like clothing we got a clothing store here super Compro so I’ve gotten some stuff uh there in the last day that I’ve been here it’s a supermarket pretty cheap pretty cheap okay pharmacy there’s a pharmacy that’s good to know news Manny Coffee that’s where I got my coffee this morning i This is in every town in Costa Rica I think and that’s often where I get coffee because I just you know I recognize the sign it’s kind of like McDonald’s or something you know okay here’s a pizza pizza joint that’s cool oh a fitness place right there i didn’t even notice that that’s interesting okay if you guys know anything about that fitness place let me know i do like checking out different gyms let’s go see let’s go see it over there why not oh cool it’s a gym they’ve got gym equipment extreme Fitness Zone so there you have it right downtown check that out i can see squat racks and stuff like that cool let this guy back out hold on let’s squeeze by here oh more squeezing than I thought there’s the gas station what do we got here oh a real estate place okay there’s a construction place right here there’s the big sign actually let’s go walk right up to that sign there that’s a good idea i like that idea now this you see where these cars are driving this is the road that goes down to the lake and this is where I came from so I came up this road from uh Launa so this is Moya’s place i’m pretty sure this is like a very popular restaurant and yesterday I saw some people walking in there dressed up the nines on a date so maybe it’s like a date place for people who like dating this is the intersection guys so coming from La Fortuna you’ll come up this way and continuing on through Guac you’ll go this way let’s cross the road here we’ll do a little frogger little frogger aion very cool so what do we got we got a supermarket over here okay that’s good holo Landia that’s where I often get chicken if I’m in a pinch if I’m in a pinch so here’s the road you can see down to the lake the mountains off behind it and here is the sign the everpresent sign and every town in Costa Rica has this really cool sign where they you know it says the name of the town but then it also has little depictions of the things that are important for the town so you can see farming obviously important out here there’s the Arnold volcano rivers pastures that’s cool i like that whoever did that is a skilled artisan very nice very nice so guys I’m going to get Casado probably somewhere up around here and then we’ll get in the car and drive down to the lake and see what that looks like all right so backtracked a little bit to Soda La Parada soda La Parada and this is actually a bus terminal here so that’s interesting so I asked about the buses there is a bus here that goes to Siod Quesada and it’s about $6 and there’s a bus that goes to Tilleran which is about $3 so I got some Gaop Pinto here for $6 gopo Pinto they accept credit card here as well so all right so here so here is the food that we’re going to be having for breakfast gaop Pinto with eggs sausage coffee as always guys here’s the bag I’m using and there’s a dog here’s the bag I’m using when I travel around Costa Rica it’s got a locking thing on the top i really like this bag check the link in the description below for where to find that bag on Amazon so let’s crush this and then head down to the lake all right so right back at the town sign there and we are going to head right and this is when the view starts opening up here you can really start seeing the lake such a nice area there’s some cabinas off on the right side [Music] lots of cabinas lots of places to stay look at the view as we open up here that’s incredible there’s a cafe right over there [Music] now off on the left here there’s a I think very popular bakery it’s called German Bakery haven’t been there if you guys know anything about that let me know view is just incredible of the lake so cool and that’s where we’re heading we’re heading right down to the lake there’s a park so here it is the German bakery off on the left side now the coffee I had with the Gaop Pinto there the Gaopinto is delicious by the way the coffee you’ll see it here $1820 it’s a cheaper you know coffee but it’s still really good it’s still really good costa Rican coffee and on that topic guys I will put a link on screen right now for the Amazon store where you can buy the coffee in the United States that I just had 1820 brick coffee that I’m currently currently sampling it the securable backpack and the water shoes we’re about to put on because I do want to step foot in the lake and see how cold it is there’s a really cool uh statue off on the right off on the left there rather of a hummingbird so this is where you’re going to be looking to go down to the lake there’s a little campground i just did a reconnaissance mission down there just to confirm that it was open before before I started filming it is passable by all cars this car is a tiny go-kart it’s I wouldn’t even call this a car what I’m driving right now but you can do it in a car so you’ll turn left right here see a sign there it says Lago Park Park Park de Lago there you go and this is a really cool grounds as well they’ve done a really good job costa Rica knows what they have you know with all this natural beauty so they really do a good job of ensuring access to it so people can can get there and see what it looks like now right here don’t hit that with a small car just go left around that one if you come here that might be on the right side so just keep an eye out off to my left right now there’s some showers that’s good rinse off when you go in the water i’m going to squeeze around here and there’s somebody camping here that’s super cool that’s what I should get like a camper something like that and it looks like this is like a camp ground right so we’re going to park up where should we park guys i mean I think we should park soon because this road starts getting a little bit chunkadelic over here maybe we’ll go right up here and then jump out and walk around all right excellent so there’s that uh shower that we drove by here’s the grounds it is so nice here you just hear birds chirping you can hear the water calmly breaking against the shore that’s not me guys i don’t I don’t really talk like that so I hope I hope I said the right words there it’s nice look at that just a incredible grounds here incredible views nice and breezy too nice and breezy so Lake Arnol I’ve read is popular for kaying fishing bass fish i don’t fish either but uh apparently it’s popular for catching some fish i wonder if you could just uh stand off the shore and fish right here and then you know barbecue barbecue it up so here we are at the lake so way at the other end of this lake there’s a dam like you actually I think you drive over it i think I drove over it there’s a dam that’s why the lake was made for hydro electric well I could see a couple people over there hiking perhaps hiking trails over there that road over there looks more like a 4×4 road don’t think the go-kart’s going to make it up that man it’s nicer i’ve been thinking about you know if I keep doing these videos right i got to get one of those Kia bongos put a little camper on it and just drive around stay in that thing that’ll be a good hit so here’s the water we’re going to do the live water test guys the water shoes got the water shoes on once again the link is in the description below for those and at the Amazon store so what’s the water look it’s very blue very blue here and here we go the live water test let’s see it’s late oh yeah it’s It’s actually pretty It’s pretty uh refreshing i’d say it’s it’s refreshing it’s not cold it’s not cold but it’s not warm it’s on the colder end so guys you know what i think we should do one more drone video now that we’re down here of specifically the park and the lake together let’s do that and we are off this might be the first video we’ve done two rounds of drone flights in the same vid so there you are there’s the park where we’re standing we just did the live water test there is the town up behind and there’s some cool just beach little areas looking off in the distance there’s a top- down shot of the park itself all the grass wellmaintained there’s that little hiking area where we saw those people walking so it looks like it’s a point goes out to a bit of a sitting area out there maybe we’ll introduce a little bit of foreground in this shot this is just out past that point looking down the lake and I just think it’s so cool how the clay kind of just mixes in with the water all along the beach here’s a shot we’re just pretending that we’re a seagull pretend you’re a seagull or a jet ski or a seagull riding a jet ski whichever you prefer and there’s a shot again of those really cool geographical features on the lake i like that incredible down here at the park all right guys so I hope you enjoyed that drone flight the second drone flight in New Barno this is cool can you hear the monkey can you hear the howler monkey up there i’m going to zoom in we’re going to try to find him with the the camera here where is he where is the monkey oh there he is there he is that’s a monkey right there that’s a howler monkey i can hear him cool that’s awesome man so there’s hower
