📍 MONTE TITLIS en SUIZA por primera vez 🇨🇭 l Travel Vlog 2025

Can you imagine a place where you can touch the snow in the middle of summer, walk on a glacier, cross a suspension bridge at over 3,000 meters above sea level, and be surrounded by spectacular landscapes? Welcome to Mount Titlis in Switzerland. First things first , how do you get to this winter wonderland? The beauty of Switzerland is its incredible public transportation. Our base to get to Titlis is the charming town of Engelberg. You can easily get there by train from major Swiss cities. But don’t worry, as your favorite guide in Switzerland, I’ll leave you here the approximate times and costs to get to this city of Engelberg. You can also get there through Roadtrip, which was our option. We left from Basel to get here, it took approximately 2 hours and a bit, even though it was Saturday, but we left a little early to avoid so much traffic. Although let me tell you, if you’re a team of not getting up so early, Lucerne is one of the closest places here. Before ascending, let’s take a moment to appreciate Engelberg. This is a picturesque alpine town where you can decide to stay or do a day trip around here. It is relatively small and centrally located. We took the opportunity to buy a couple of provisions here. This is a great option if you want to save a little while traveling, since we know that prices in Switzerland are quite high. From the supermarket, you can also walk to the station here. And if you come by train, walking here is also quite easy. They are 10 to 15 minutes or you can also take a boost that lasts 3.5 minutes and this is free with the Swiss Travel Pass or the Guest card. You can buy the tickets right here or also online so you avoid long lines. We did not buy it online because we wanted to apply a discount and that is why we waited to buy it at the checkout since the online code was not useful. At the station you will be able to find bathrooms, restaurants, souvenir shops, like in most cable car stations here in Switzerland, it opens at 8:30 and we were here at 9:30. Now we are going up by means of the cable car that will take us to the other cable car, which is the most important, it is the only one that is 360º rotating. But in order to get to that point, we first have to take this type of cable cars that you have already seen in several videos and this path takes approximately 20 minutes to reach one of the peaks and from there now you can take the rotating one. But the views from here right now are very magical because we are in a time that It’s starting to get a little warmer it’s not really wintry but it is so I’m really excited for this adventure the ticket was really cheap because David’s dad gave us some tickets that only cost 20 francs each but normally the prices are like 100 above 100 francs full price but if you have the Swiss Travel Pass or if you have the Half Tax it’s half price I’ll leave you with the wonderful views of this first section of the cable car which are impressive at station two on the same route The cable car is a fantastic station that we’re going to explore in more detail later in the video but now we have to keep going up so we can go deeper into the snow you have to take into consideration that more people may get on that section it was our turn and about four more people got on in total there were eight of us in the gondola and yes it was quite tight fortunately it was only a 10 minute walk to get off and continue with our journey it’s very important that you always keep your ticket because you’re going to need it depending on the stations that you have to go up or down we are about to go up the rotating cable car but they have a certain limit so right now they are not letting us go through until the second round but that means something good because there are only four people and us that means that yes or yes we must have a guaranteed view out the window and now the star of the show the titlis rot air this is the first rotating cable car in the world and it is absolutely impressive as it ascends the cabin slowly rotates 360º giving you uninterrupted panoramic views of the glaciers the rock faces and the distant peaks it’s truly a unique experience that you won’t find anywhere else nobody tells you which side to get on the cable car from so there’s a very easy trick you have to position yourself on the opposite side to where the last cable car left this way you can be one of the first to get in as a curious fact the Rot Air has been in operation since 1992 enchanting millions of visitors as advice I can give you is to come prepared to be surrounded by a large crowd and be patient as everyone wants to enjoy the beautiful views that this cable car has to offer once you get off the Rot Air you are immediately greeted by the icy magic of the glacier cave you do not need an extra ticket to get in it is included in the payment you made to go up here this is an actual tunnel dug directly into the heart of the glacier and it is kept at around -1.5ºC 5 gr cent all year round it’s like being in a frozen dream Make sure you wear warm clothing even in the summer because it gets quite cold here. It’s a surreal experience knowing that you’re walking through ice that’s thousands of years old. This is a relatively small space since you’re going to have to bump into people at times because it’s the same place where you have to come and go. You’re also going to meet quite a few people who are going to want to take pictures in the iconic spots of this place. This cave was originally 150 m long but currently most of it is closed for different reasons. The main one is the accelerated melting of the glacier caused by climate change and has caused cracks, high density of maintenance and also for security reasons, access has been limited to only a part of the original route. For each floor you go up, the windows are huge and beautiful. I’m leaving you a map of how this multi-story building is structured. On the second floor there is a restaurant that we didn’t go in which is the service and on the third floor, which is the one you are seeing, there is a Linded chocolate shop in case you love chocolates and want to. take edible souvenirs here is the perfect place and also right here inside is where they sell the famous ice creams you will see many people buying these ice creams and they are delicious if you have a chance to try this brand it is very rich it is local here in Switzerland on the next floor we will find a photo booth where you can take traditional photos and where you can also rent snow shoes and right there also going up some stairs you will be able to find the souvenir shop here the truth is it caught our attention that the girl who was attending spoke perfect Spanish because we happened to find out that there were like 25 Mexicans on a tour visiting Switzerland and they were buying souvenirs and you saw how they spoke Spanish with the girl something that normally does not happen here in Switzerland because they almost always speak German or English and on level five you will find a watch store and they have a special collection for Mount Titlis and right there you will be able to find on the fifth floor the exit to be able to enjoy the impressive panoramic views of the Swiss Alps Mount Titlis in Switzerland is famous for being a key location in the filming of the Bollywood film in particular because of a song is considered a romantic setting and a popular destination for Indian tourists who want to experience the Swiss Alps a cropped image of the protagonists is still displayed here on Mount Titlis remembering the impact of the film and it is very impressive that this film was released in 1995 and still continues to attract thousands of tourists from India and from the top we move to the main open air viewing platform which is where you will capture those iconic postcard perfect photos look around you can see the Better Horn eliger and on a clearer day you can even see the Black Forest in Germany the magnitude of these mountains is incredible the fresh, clean air the glistening snow and that horizon infinity is pure alpine bliss this is where you can truly feel the majesty of the Alps don’t forget your camera because every angle here is a masterpiece and you will also be able to find different spots in this place and from the air it looks impressive thanks David for all these impressive drone shots at the top of Mount Titl an ambitious renovation and expansion project is underway known as the Titlis project the tower is expected to be completed in 2026 and the other projects in 2029 to go up to this viewpoint you have to climb a small inclined hill full of snow which leads me to recommend that you wear suitable shoes to be able to walk in the snow because we happened to see many people wearing normal tennis shoes with normal soles which caused them to slip and fall constantly and sometimes take other people along the way now if you are looking for an adrenaline rush we have two activities located right next to each other but first I’m going to show you the one that is already included in the entrance ticket the Titlis Cliff Walk welcome to one of the highest suspension bridges in Europe we are at over 3000 meters high and look how this suspension bridge is moving it is an engineering marvel here in Switzerland oh my God I’m so nervous because we’re already halfway there I didn’t even want to look back down because there’s literally no floor and the further you go in the middle the more it’s moving this is so impressed and I’m really happy to be in this place it’s just too impressive and thanks to the aerial shots we can get more of an idea of how this suspension bridge is connected and how the fall can be quite high right now the viewpoint is closed so it’s not worth it maybe walk all the way there if you’re a little afraid of heights but look how beautiful the view is even though it’s moving a little because we’re here in the middle and people are kind of moving saturated there at the beginning of the bridge you’ll also find this place where you can take pictures of course for an extra cost now yes ready for another exciting ride let’s go this is the Teslilla Ice Flyer and here we have to buy another extra ticket apart from the entrance there are rules to be able to get on you have to put your backpack or the items you have in front of you not leave them behind and then you will be able to sit down the truth is I was very nervous to see how this worked I have never gotten on a Teslilla this is mainly for tourists since they are normally used to be able to ski you literally have your feet flying over the glacier it is an outdoor experience and I confess that it really scared me because it reminded me of that feeling of being on a mechanical game and thanks to the movies The Final Destination is that I am afraid of this type of activities except for the zip lines but the views from here were incredible we survived and of course the price you pay is not only for the transportation in the Teslilla since it can transport you to this place where it is like a snow paradise where the main activity is tubing in the snow so be prepared to go down find an available float and go up that slope to be able to slide through the snow and despite having had that tremendous scare in the Teslilla I couldn’t miss out on trying this activity . Oh, the other track is for sledding, but it was closed this time. The truth is, you have to be very patient because there are no employees here, and everyone goes as they understand because everyone is very excited to be able to do this activity. Here you’ll also be able to enjoy the snow, be able to have a couple of snow wars, but there aren’t any other extra activities, so we went up to the Teslilla again to be able to return and continue enjoying the activities that Mount Titlis offers. Something I would like to tell you is that you shouldn’t go up to places where it clearly says you can’t because you can generate a small mini avalanche then be considerate in that we returned to the fourth floor where the souvenir shop was here there are some tables so you can eat some snacks this was what we bought at the supermarket in the morning that I told you because we were already quite hungry and the altitude really gets tiring after eating we decided to go down to be able to enjoy another very beautiful area of this park we took the rotating cable car again but this time it didn’t rotate it just went straight the good thing was that we managed to grab some of the first places so we got to get in a privileged position and now you can enjoy the views with us a little more since when we went up I couldn’t record in this format for YouTube as you can see there were less people going up Mount Titlis because of the time since it was approximately 3:20 in the afternoon and the last descent is at 4:30 this means that the people who were trying to go up were really going to enjoy Mount Titlis very little David this easy stove oh oh oh God we are finally going down We left the Titlis part and now we want to go to the second station where there is a beautiful lake. Let’s see if we can walk there because it looks like a bit of a tough hike and it’s a bit sunny. But it’s going to rain here in the afternoon and we can already see how there are a couple of clouds. But it’s a really cool experience to be able to enjoy a gondola for yourself. Many people go directly from the top and come back, but they would be missing out on a true gem, the Troopse station. This intermediate stop is an absolute paradise, especially in the summer. The highlight is the stunning lake, a serene alpine lake with crystal clear waters surrounded by meadows and mountains. In the summer, you can even rent a small rowing boat for free and row around the lake, they call them Love Boats. It’s incredibly romantic and peaceful, as it’s not yet considered that summer has started. Here in Switzerland, these boats weren’t available, so we just had to enjoy how beautiful this lake looked. There’s also a fantastic walking trail, perfect for a quiet walk and with perfect areas to have a barbecue, for families. The adventure trail has fun activities and a great playground for children. You can also consider taking the trail to the waterfalls is considered an easy to moderate hike although it is short the ascent along the trail can be a bit uneven terrain approximately 50 minutes to an hour if you start from where the station begins or from the children’s playground it is more or less a distance of 2.5 km and goes from 1764 m to 1918 m above sea level it is generally accessible from July to mid-October depending on snow conditions it is important to check the condition of the trail especially at the beginning and end of the season for families it is suitable and you can take a stroller to the foot of the waterfall which is about a 15 minute walk in addition to the waterfall you can enjoy the alpine flower protected on a peak of the waterfall as a curious fact the name Trupse translates as cloudy lake or dark lake which is a bit of a misnomer nowadays as it is quite clear it is believed that the name comes from the glacial meltwater that historically made it cloudy it is a fantastic place to escape the crowds at the top and enjoy the nature at a slightly lower altitude allow yourself at least an hour or two here or even more if you want to hike as time flies here you can stay for hours and hours looking at this tremendous landscape and you will not get tired as time goes by you have to plan your descent very well so as not to get stuck since the last descent from the top of Titlis is at 5 in the afternoon and the last one from the station where we were where the lake is is at 5:15 so we got off about half an hour before 5:15 to be able to do it more comfortably even though it really did take us a while to get a cable car because also people from at the top it had already begun to descend upon arriving at the Engelberg station you will be able to find the different times in which the buses leave and leaving you will be able to have tremendous views like this stream and you will also be able to find different signs for the lodgings that are here since many families decide to stay in this area to be able to enjoy the place more we also got to see a lot of people walking since really the distance is not that long if you decide to walk whether you are adventure lovers nature lovers or simply looking for impressive views Hitler is its perfect place this along with two other very important destinations in Switzerland are the only ones where you will be able to find snow all year round so if you enjoyed this guide please give it a like subscribe for more epic travel adventures in Switzerland and around the world comment below what was your favorite part of Mount Titlis or what Swiss destination you want me to explore on my next adventure don’t forget to share this with anyone planning a trip to Switzerland see you on the next adventure babaaay why does it move so much?
