【53歳女ひとり旅】大雨、迷子、車中泊。耳を疑う言葉に怒り心頭

I haven’t decided on a destination yet. A free trip, bound by no one. I’d be delighted if you enjoy this carefree journey with me. I’m hungry. I’ll take a rest at this rest area tonight. Lately, I’ve been overlooking a lot of things. Like taking wrong turns, Or passing the highway exit… A few days ago, I had a good idea. What if I don’t decide on a destination? If there’s no destination, then no matter what road I take, it won’t be a mistake. I don’t check tomorrow’s weather on my smartphone. Is it hot or cold, sunny or rainy? I’ve decided to do everything on a whim. It’s going to be hot. I set up a fan. It’s time for dinner. I found two recipes on Instagram that use instant noodles. I couldn’t decide which one to make. So I brought the ingredients for both recipes. Okay, I’ll use the recipe with more steps. Pork. Cabbage. Leftover cabbage in the refrigerator at home. They don’t soften easily. Steam them a little. I added too much water… Stir-fry while removing moisture. Kinpira Ninjin (Carrots stir-fried with soy sauce and sugar). Kinpira has a soft texture and is seasoned well. It’s convenient because it can be used in various dishes. I make it in large batches and stock it. Add an all-purpose Chinese seasoning. I like vegetables that have been thoroughly stir-fried until they’re soft. Okay. Boil the noodles in a small amount of hot water. Combine the noodles with the stir-fried vegetables. Add the powdered soup that came with the ramen. The seasoning oil. This also came with the ramen. Stir-fry briefly. “The Plate That Makes Anything Look Delicious” I love this! Don’t mind the spilled green onions… Lol Pickled red ginger. “Yaki Ramen” (fried ramen) Let’s eat! It’s good! The recipe said to add wood ear mushrooms. But I don’t really like them, so I changed it to carrots. The person who posted this recipe used a word I’d never heard before. It was youth slang used to compliment something’s appearance. When I met my college-aged nephew, I used that word. I wanted to surprise him. But he said, “Auntie, that word’s already old-fashioned.” I was a little embarrassed. Lol I’m going for a little night stroll. Japanese soba noodle… A large serving of soba is free! That’s tempting. I want to eat everything! Lol There’s a dog park. Wow, it’s like an entrance to another world. I like the sound of truck engines. Late-night walks are exciting. It’s time for tea. I’ll make honey soda. The dessert is also honey. Honeycomb…This is my first time trying it. Honey and Honeycomb are souvenirs from my friend. It looks like puffed rice. Honeycomb apparently tastes great on bread or crackers. Today, I’ll try eating it as is. Both the drink and the dessert are honey. I have to thank the bees. Wow! It’s so good! It has a fruity taste. I love this! It’s time to go to bed. It’s raining. It’s getting a little stronger. I lie down and check the weather. It’s going to rain again tomorrow. I don’t mind. Tomorrow is another day. Good night. Good morning. It’s raining as forecast. At first, I was sleeping with just a blanket. However, it got a bit cold in the middle of the night. So I took out my sleeping bag. I went to the restroom without an umbrella. I got soaked. I only brought this one towel. Time to get ready to leave. The article I read last night won’t leave my mind. It was about dogs that were made miserable by irresponsible people. I knew a terrible person. She became cold towards her old dog as soon as her child was born. How awful! I can’t believe it. I can’t stop crying out of anger. I’ll throw such a terrible person into the trash along with my snot! Something’s wrong with the world. What can I do? My eyes are bloodshot with anger, and my hair is a mess. I need to fix my messy hair first. What I can do alone might be limited. But it must be better than doing nothing. Is my mind and body unstable because of menopause? I’m exhausted… It’s raining so hard. I left the bread and coffee in the car. This is the entrance to another world I saw last night. What could this symbol be? No way, it couldn’t be some kind of code, could it? There’s a symbol here too. Rain, mysterious symbols… And a path leading to a bamboo grove… Wow… If I go any further, I might time travel… …It was just a dead end. Lol The true identity of the code has been revealed. When castle walls were being built in the past, marks were put on the stones to identify their owners. I had fun indulging in various daydreams in the rain. Lol Let’s go! I’m going shopping at another rest area. It’s about a 20-minute drive from here. It continues raining heavily. I get lost in thought while driving. Oops! I took the wrong way… Next, I missed the spot where I could make a U-turn. I ended up having to take a huge detour. I was supposed to arrive in 20 minutes. …Where am I now? Lol However, something unexpectedly good happened. I was able to see beautiful scenery drenched in rain. Wow! Is it a kind of rice paddy art? I don’t understand what those three Kanji characters mean… The rain has picked up again. The visibility is poor, and the road is narrow. Oh my goodness, it’s so narrow! Can we pass each other? Wow! They’re great driver! So cool! How much longer will this road go on? It’s actually starting to get fun. I found a dilapidated building. Even though I took a huge detour, I got to see some beautiful scenery. I’ve finally arrived at the rest area. I’m starving. I’m going to reheat the curry bread. Could this burn mark be some kind of mysterious code…? Lol It’s time for breakfast. Curry bread is crispy and good. It would have been even better if the coffee had been piping hot… Unfortunately, the store is closed today. I can’t do any shopping. I wish the rain would lighten up a bit. Wow! The rain is letting up! My hair is a mess from the humidity. But I feel like the shrine purified my mind and body.
