【One Piece Shinkansen🚅】Japan’s New One Piece Bullet Train is here! All You Need to Know 🇯🇵

One Piece Shinkansen is here!! This time, Tony Tony Chopper edition! A high-speed adventure through Sanyo region! Are you a pirate too? Or maybe… a wanted outlaw?! Even private rooms on this train. Hope you enjoy the video! Good morning, everyone! I’m in Nakasu, Fukuoka—super early in the morning. I’m hopping on the “One Piece Shinkansen” from
Hakata to Shin-Osaka, so I stayed overnight in Fukuoka. First, I’ll catch the subway and head to JR Hakata Station. First train out of Nakasu-Kawabata Station. Even though it’s the first train of the day,
it’s surprisingly packed for this early! Just arrived at Hakata Station! This is huge and super modern—no wonder it’s the main gateway to Kyushu. Time to grab a ticket from the vending machine. Got a non-reserved seat ticket on the Kodama local train. The One Piece train goes all the way to Shin-Osaka,
but I’m hopping off at Mihara in Hiroshima today. Going through the gate now—getting excited! I’ll be riding the Kodama 840 from Hakata to Shin-Osaka. Even the walkway to the platform looks super clean and new. The One Piece train, decked out in
character designs,is pulling into Platform 13. From Hakata to Mihara, it’s a local ride—2 hours
and 9 minutes, 10 stops, covering 352.1 km. Whoa! Here it comes—slowly pulling in…
the 700 Series One Piece Shinkansen! This is the second edition of the train, the Tony
Tony Chopper model, with a bright white theme. Wait, I thought this train started at Hakata…
but there are already people on board? Oh right! This train also runs on the Hakata-
Minami line as a regular commuter train. Lucky locals! Let’s take a closer look at the freshly
painted front of the 700 Series Rail Star. Here’s the brand-new One Piece Shinkansen logo! This second edition—the Tony Tony Chopper version
—launched on May 28,with a white color theme… The first edition, the “Setouchi Blue” train,
debuted April 12 with a vivid ocean-blue design. There he is! Today’s star—Tony Tony Chopper! His signature X-marked hat is drawn so cutely! The window stripe down the middle is colored
with Chopper’s signature light blue and pink. The “One Piece Shinkansen” letters
really stand out, don’t they? Alright, let’s step inside! Whoa! Even the doors are One Piece-themed! Check out all the seat head covers
—modeled after Chopper’s hat! Just being here makes you feel
like you’re starting a big adventure. These head covers are exclusive to the
One Piece Shinkansen—custom made! Even the doors inside the cars feature character designs. Unlike the Disney Shinkansen, where special
head covers are only in non-reserved seats… The One Piece Shinkansen has custom
head covers on every single seat! Let’s take another look at the awesome entrance door! Chopper’s hat design really pops—so bold and fun. Free seating starts from Car No. 3 to No.1. Not the “Grand Line” this time—
more like the “Grand Rail Line”! I’m in non-reserved seating, so I’ll grab this spot. Chopper’s hat design is inspired
by a hospital cross—super cute detail. Here’s the luggage rack—strong enough for suitcases too. The non-reserved layout is 2×3,
but it still feels nice and roomy. Chopper even appears in the train announcements!
At Hakata Station, you can hear his special voiceover. Yep, you can only hear it on this train—nowhere else! Alright! Let’s set off on a journey
through the Grand Rail Line! The seats recline nicely, with 1060mm pitch—super spacious, just what you’d expect from the Shinkansen. See? Plenty of room to stretch out your legs. The curtains slide open smoothly too. And these original head covers…
Durable and super comfy to the touch. We’re cruising past peaceful countryside fields. The fresh green scenery really
brings out that early summer vibe. Time to pull down the tray table. I’m starving—it’s breakfast time! Just a light breakfast today—some rice balls
I grabbed at the convenience store. One’s red bean rice, and the other… …is kelp! Classic and tasty. I’ve got my favorite drink, too—unsweetened green tea. Just for fun, I’ve tried standing up the rice ball. Not even the slightest wobble—nice and steady 😆 That’s the Shinkansen for you! Japanese rice balls are so well packaged. When you open them, the seaweed is perfectly in place—ready to eat without any fuss. We take it for granted, but
it’s honestly such a clever design. Alright, time to dig in! Mmm, the kelp has a nice sweet flavor—so good! 😃 Now for the red bean rice one. Whoa—chewy and satisfying.
Love that glutinous texture. Just the right amount of salt too. That hit the spot! ☺️ We’re now approaching our first stop: Kokura. Kitakyushu is the second-largest city in Kyushu and
a key transport hub, with ferries to Tokyo and Osaka. And just like that, we’re smoothly departing Kokura Station. Once we cross the Kanmon Strait, we’ll be in Honshu! There’s free Wi-Fi onboard, by the way. If you want more details on the
Chopper-themed One Piece train… …you can check it all out on JR West’s special website. And guess what? The third train—the Monkey D. Luffy edition, in yellow—launches on July 2nd! The first edition, the Setouchi Blue train, with its ocean-inspired blue theme, started running back on April 12. So in total, there are three different
One Piece Shinkansen designs. But heads-up—train schedules change daily! Make sure to check the official website before your trip. Ahh, the lush greenery is so easy on the eyes. 😀 Seriously, this is such a relaxing ride. We’re cruising at around 210 km/h. Since it’s the Kodama line, it’s not
the fastest—but still smooth and comfy. Alright, let’s take another look around the train! Cars 1 to 3 are non-reserved seating, with a 2×3 layout. Each car has original posters on
both sides of the compartment doors. On the way up, the right-side
doors feature a light blue theme… …while the left-side doors have a pink color scheme. Here’s a Chopper poster in Car 3—he
looks adorable with his backpack on! Of course, the door next to it has a fun, unique design too. This is the washbasin area. Even here, it’s themed like a wanted poster for Chopper! Yep, another wanted poster right next to it. And next door is a unisex restroom. Looks like Chopper isn’t hanging out in here though 😆 Still, it’s compact, clean, and well-designed. Chopper’s big smile greets you at the cabin door! The entry doors are designed with Chopper’s iconic hat. That “X” mark? It’s based on the
Red Cross symbol from hospitals. It totally fits, because even though Chopper’s
adorable—he’s also the crew’s doctor! Here’s a brand-new design poster in Car 4. “To the Grand Rail Line!” And now I’ve got an angry Chopper! 😆 Flying Chopper! His reindeer antlers are drawn in vivid detail. The artwork on the right side is the same across all cars. Cars 4 to 8 are reserved seating only. These have a 2×2 seat layout. Compared to non-reserved cars, the seats are wider with more spacious armrests and cushier fabric. Very comfy. It’s still around 6:50 AM—pretty early! There aren’t many passengers yet. Check out this Chopper poster in Car 6—his hat is hilarious! All the cabin doors have unique, fun designs. In Car 7, Chopper’s got a whole
new expression—look at that face! 😄 The door design here is a bit different from the others. Even the hallway walls feature Tony Tony Chopper! Why not become a wanted pirate here yourself? 😄 Here’s the men’s restroom—simple and clean. And now, the front car—Car 8. Huh? There don’t seem to be many seats in this car. That’s because Car 8 on the
Kodama 840 has four private rooms! They’re more like lounges than regular seats
—great for families or even business meetings. There’s a wooden fold-out table with
power outlet too. Super premium feel. You’ll even find One Piece-themed
headrest covers in the private cabins! But note that these rooms have special booking requirements—check with JR West or look in the description. Each room has a ceiling lamp and a cozy
table lamp. I’d love to try one someday! We’re now passing through Tokuyama, an industrial city… The non-reserved cars are starting to fill up
with commuters heading toward Hiroshima. And just like that, we’re smoothly gliding into Hiroshima. After the train leaves Hiroshima Station… …Chopper’s original in-train announcement plays again! I love it! 😃 And here I am—arriving at my destination, Mihara Station. Tony Tony Chopper, thank you for this
wonderful Grand Rail Line adventure! Even here, the “One Piece
Shinkansen” letters are shining bright. Whoa—on the opposite track, there’s another
700 series waiting—but without the paint! That’s the same model, before it got its One Piece makeover. Pretty wild to see them side by side! With that contrast in mind, I’ll wrap up
this journey on the Grand Rail Line. Thanks for everything, One Piece Shinkansen! Even inside Mihara Station, One
Piece posters are everywhere. Thank you so much for watching! 😄

I had the chance to ride the second edition of the hugely popular “One Piece Shinkansen,” featuring character designs from the hit manga One Piece. This time, it is the Tony Tony Chopper-themed train, traveling from Hakata Station in Kyushu to Mihara Station in Hiroshima. In this video, I share detailed footage of the inside of the train, so I hope you can enjoy the ride as if you were there with me!

Please note that the schedule and stops for the “One Piece Shinkansen” vary depending on the day of operation. It’s recommended to check the official special website regularly for the latest information. Also, the private compartments on the Shinkansen can only be reserved for groups of three or more, so they are not available for solo travelers. Reservations cannot be made online and must be done in person at a JR ticket office (Midori no Madoguchi).

Now then, all aboard the “Grand Rail Line”! Let’s depart on this great adventure!
