Is Din Tai Fung 101 in Taipei really worth the hype? 🇹🇼 Join me on an unforgettable Xiao Long Bao (XLB) feast at the iconic Din Tai Fung located in the famous Taipei 101 tower! If you love Taiwanese food, dumplings, or are planning a trip to Taiwan, this food adventure is for you.
While in Taiwan, I tried the local XLB restaurants. From the places that locals go to one in a busy train station… all were good but not too spectacular. Perhaps spoiled by the all the great places in my local home in Vancouver or perhaps just visiting on an off day, I’m hoping to find a great XLB feast in Taipei. So, listening to the wisdom of the crowds with the evidence of the perpetually long line ups, I decided to pay a visit to the legendary Din Tai Fung at the base of the iconic Taipei 101 tower. The wait, a typical 1 hour no matter the time of day you go; and the food — exceptionally good and exceptionally consistent.

Do not trythe DTF in NYC. You will be severely disappointed. My mom even said the pork in the XLB didn't taste fresh. Non-Asians in the kitchen should've been a sign that it wouldn't be good.

You ordered meal for like 4 people , did you finish it ? Beef noodle soup and fried rice are so good most customers just go for steam dumplings.. At least you ate veggie not like stupid DTM who just do not travel . God bless.

an easy way to eat xlbis to just put everything in a bowl, break em apart, add in the sauce and enjoy spill free. screw elegance.
DTF has been in Singapore for a long time and my family and I always remark how consistently good the food is over the years. My all-time favorites are the fried rice with pork chop and the taro and red bean xiaolongbaos!!
