激安トレーラーハウスでぼっち車中泊、こんなはずじゃなかった…

Hey everyone, it’s Yuuka! Right now I’m in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka. Not many people know this, but actually— I’m from Shizuoka Prefecture! I thought it’d be nice to explore my hometown for a change, so today I went looking for something fun. And here’s what I found! Ta-da! A camping trailer! I’m staying in a trailer house for the first time ever today. It’s connected to a hotel called “Arashi no Yakata,” and you can check in at the main hotel too. So let’s go check it out! You can kinda see that Ferris wheel over there— that’s Hamanako Pal Pal! I used to go there all the time when I was little. I picked up the key at the front desk! They didn’t really give me much of an explanation, so I asked, “Any rules or stuff I should know?” And they were just like, “Feel free to use it however!” So now I’m heading inside to see what it’s like! This front part attached to the trailer house is where you hook it up to a car for towing. That’s how it gets pulled around. So the trailer house itself doesn’t have an engine, but it does have wheels, so yeah—it can move! I’m curious what it’s actually like inside a trailer house. Kinda nervous, though… Hope I don’t mess anything up. *I literally feel like I might break something accidentally. Alright, let’s open it up! Looks like pressing this button unlocks the door. Here we go—opening it up! There are slippers waiting for you right at the entrance. And once you step inside, there’s a light switch. Here’s the bathroom. And this is the bedroom. This is what it looks like outside the trailer. *That Japanese was a little sketchy, lol Inside the room— It looks like this! Wow! This looks way nicer than I expected. I love the vibe. Honestly, it looks totally livable— I’m actually getting excited now. Let’s do some exploring! Where should I start? So when you walk in the door, there’s a kitchen right to the side. Well, I think this is the kitchen? Yep, there’s a sink. Nice! There’s a window above it, so you can see what’s going on outside too. Above the sink, there are cabinets. There are four of them, so plenty of storage space! Under the sink— it looks like this. Honestly, just like a real home kitchen. There are towels inside! They also provide towels and disposable slippers. This trailer house actually has a shower unit— but it’s apparently not usable. Instead, you can use the onsen bath that’s inside the main hotel. So I’ll take this with me and go for a soak tonight! Over here, there’s an electric kettle, plus a little tea-making set. Green tea! Across from the kitchen, there’s a big sofa. You can totally lie down on it—it’s huge. So spacious. You can see outside from here too. I wonder if I can close it… *If I break it I’ll go broke, so better be gentle. Here’s a power outlet too. The plug looks kind of like the ones overseas. There’s a table for four. Ooh, more towels provided! I wonder how many there are? Looks like enough for about four people. On the table, there’s an AC remote and one for the ventilation fan too. *Being able to ventilate is ventil-awesome Now, what’s behind this mysterious curtain? Any guesses? Let’s open it and see! Whoa, it’s super spacious— and the bed looks amazing! Kinda firm, but it’s huge. Like… really huge. It’s honestly too luxurious for just one person. No but seriously, this is amazing. Ahhh, I just wanna lie down already. But I haven’t explored the whole room yet, so I’ll finish that first before I nap. Above the bed, there’s an air conditioner and a window. This one also has curtains so you can peek outside. Next to the bed, there’s a reading light and a power outlet too. *Honestly, this setup is better than my room at home. *This bedroom is basically my dream setup. And guess what? There’s even a fridge! Let’s see if there’s anything inside. Nope, totally empty. Oh, it’s cold! Wait—it’s really cold! *You’d think I’ve never touched a fridge before I wonder what’s in this shelf? What even is this? It’s not in Japanese, so I can’t really read it… It says something about water temperature? Honestly, I’m a little scared to touch it… Yeah, let’s just leave that alone. There’s a little bathroom space here. Here’s the toilet. It actually looks super clean. But something about it feels a little… not Japanese? Even the sink area is really tidy. And there’s a mirror too. Yay! And the amenities include two toothbrushes, a comb, and a razor. Across from the toilet, there’s another door… Turns out that’s the shower room. But it looks like it’s not usable, so it’s off-limits today. That’s pretty much the whole room tour. I’m gonna lie down and take a quick break. Oops… I meant to nap for like 30 minutes— but I ended up sleeping for like 3 hours. This bed legit feels just like a double bed. It was so comfy, I totally passed out. Oh right! I read that you can’t cook in here, so I brought a little bento with me in advance. *A canned food bento I mean, I don’t really cook anyway, so this was my best effort. We’ve got pacific saury, chicken meatballs, flatfish, and curry. Looks good, right? If I had a can of beer to go with this, it would be perfect… But I didn’t know there was a fridge here, so I didn’t buy any this time. Well, that’s a fail… Let’s eat! *Wait, what?! Okay wait… this isn’t what it looks like. I swear I didn’t buy it earlier— but like five minutes away from here, there’s a 7-Eleven. I dashed over there like my life depended on it, and grabbed this as fast as I could. *I actually brought the glass from home. So good! Somehow, eating in a trailer makes the food taste better than at home. I love food you eat while camping or in your car— there’s just something about that little struggle vibe. Honestly, I love it. Except beer. Beer’s always amazing no matter where I drink it. About the price of this trailer house— I booked it today through Rakuten Travel, and with a discount, it only cost me $20. Even the regular price is like $30, which is still cheap. Pretty good deal, right? So if you ever visit Shizuoka, definitely check out my hometown and stay here! It’s fun and super budget-friendly. Around here there’s Hamanako Palpal, a flower park, and a campground a little further out. So there’s a bunch of cool stuff to do. There’s also Kanzanji Onsen with lake views, and famous old-school eel restaurants. It’s actually a great sightseeing area! As for this trailer house— like I said, it can be towed, even by a regular car, apparently. But I’ve honestly never seen that before. It’s like the size of two RVs put together. I’ve actually driven an RV once, and it was massive and kinda scary. So thinking about something twice that size… yikes. I’d love to try, but also… a little scared. I looked it up and apparently if it weighs over 750kg, you need a special trailer license to drive it. So yeah, turns out I couldn’t drive it anyway. License-less and… lowkey hopeless. That was delicious! Now that I’m nice and full, I think it’s time for a shower. Like I mentioned earlier, the shower in here doesn’t work, so I’m gonna go use the one at the hotel next door. They’ve got a big public bath! So I’m gonna pack my stuff and head over there now. Bye for now! At night, it’s pitch dark except for the hotel lights, and you can see the stars so clearly. *Starry skies: rural Japan’s special perk. The front desk is open all night, and there’s a microwave and vending machines too, which is nice. Alright, time to hit the big bath. See you in a bit! I’m back from the bath! It was amazing. Large public baths just hit different. And the fact that it’s included in the room price? Seriously, so generous! Okay, time for a little drink after the bath. Local Shizuoka Mikkabi Mandarin Orange Sour. And this one’s green tea mixed with shochu. I couldn’t choose… so I bought both. Cheers! Delicious. I got them at the 7-Eleven nearby, but apparently they’re only sold in Shizuoka! No way I was walking out without one. *I’m kinda weak when it comes to “limited edition” stuff. Let’s try the green tea one too. Wow, that really tastes like tea. Super rich and earthy—definitely Shizuoka-style. It’s got that deep flavor. But personally, I prefer something a little sweeter. So I like the orange one better! You can see Lake Hamana right outside the window, and there’s even a ropeway passing through. It actually connects to Kanzanji Onsen. Seeing all that makes it feel like I’m living lakeside for a day—super refreshing. It’s such a nice change from everyday life. When I show places like this, people always ask, “Are you sponsored?” So here are the downsides too: First, there are a ton of bugs. And it’s kinda hard to get here on foot. So yeah, it’s not perfect or anything. But honestly, the little inconveniences make it feel more like a real adventure. *Inconvenience is the spice of travel. Anyway, I’m starting to get sleepy, so I think I’ll go to bed now. Good night! Good morning! It’s officially morning. I thought about going for a walk outside after I woke up… but look at this. It’s pouring rain. I was dreaming of a peaceful lakeside walk this morning… Tragic. Guess I’ll just eat breakfast instead. This power outlet is seriously hard to use. *Foreign-grade ultra-stiff plug—great for a morning workout. They were selling bottled water in the hotel lobby, and there was even a microwave, surprisingly. I didn’t know that, so I just ate canned food yesterday. I thought I couldn’t heat up my rice packs, but turns out I totally could’ve. Oops. *Also, there’s a Chinese restaurant right next to the hotel. Let’s dig in. Salted rice ball. I actually love sleeping in my car. I do it from time to time. *But this is another level of comfort. I was thinking, it’d be awesome to park one of these in my parents’ yard. Like, make it my own little room. So I looked it up— used trailer houses go for around 2 million yen. (Way over my budget.) Even the super run-down ones were like 800,000 yen. And even that made me go “Yikes.” (Still over budget.) 800,000 yen is still way too much. So yeah, I gave up. *My dream home remains just a dream. Right now, I’ve got my beloved “Papa Clipper”— a Nissan NV Clipper, by the way— and I’m customizing it! I’m turning it into a mini camper. It’s not quite at this level, but I’m making it comfy like this one. Still in progress though— so I hope you’re excited to see how it turns out! Back when I used to sleep in my car, I’d just throw down a thick moving blanket in the cargo space and sleep on that. But now I’ve upgraded with a real bed and even added a little sink setup. I’m super excited about it. Once Papa Clipper comes back, I’m planning to pick up my Japan road trip again. But I’m stuck trying to decide which prefecture to visit next. Right now, I’m torn between Kumamoto and Okinawa. I really want to go! Kumamoto has Mount Aso and tons of nature— I’ve been wanting to explore that. And Okinawa’s just classic. It’s been on my list forever. I love hot places, and it seems perfect for road trips. I’ve never actually driven in Okinawa before, so I really want to try it. Also I heard there’s a dinosaur theme park opening in July or something? I’m absolutely going to check that out. It sounds super fun! And I take ferries a lot too, but I’ve never taken one with my car. I wonder if you can bring cars to Okinawa? I looked it up—turns out, some ferries take cars but not the people themselves!? Like, are they just gonna leave me behind?? How are you supposed to go with your car then? If anyone knows, please tell me! I’m planning to film a bunch of fun videos this summer, so feel free to drop your requests in the comments! Thanks for the meal! It’s almost time to check out, so I’m gonna tidy up and get ready to go. Here’s my outfit for the day! Yaaay 🎉 Okay, I actually don’t have time for this— I’m kinda running out of time! Gotta get ready fast! It’s seriously nice that they’ve got all these amenities. Super helpful. And the fact that there’s running water and electricity is just amazing. The biggest struggle when car camping is always water and power. So being able to use both without even thinking about it— that’s a major comfort win. Alright, all done! Just finished checking out. Today I stayed in a trailer house! And honestly, it was sooo good. I had no idea something this cool existed in my hometown. It was such a fun discovery! I’m really glad I got to feature a little bit of my hometown like this. There’s a place called PalPal nearby and I really wanted to go today, but… The rain just won’t stop. I guess I’ll have to negotiate with it (?) lol and figure out what to do next. Thanks so much for watching all the way to the end today! Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe 💖 See you next time—bye bye!
