⁴ᴷ Gifu: Gujo Hachiman Station (岐阜県: 郡上八幡駅) – Japan Walking Tour (May, 2025)
Last month, I refrained from traveling long distances, but as the weather gradually warmed up, I decided to set out on a journey this month to the Noto Peninsula along the Sea of Japan.
On the way back from the Hokuriku region, I took a route through Gifu and Aichi prefectures. From Toyama, I headed south to Takayama, and then continued further south to the town of Gujo Hachiman in Gujo City.
During the day, you can spot tourists all around Gujo Hachiman, but once night falls, the town becomes remarkably quiet. Although there are inns and other places to stay, it makes me wonder—where is everyone spending the night? The stillness after dark was almost mysterious.
