コスタリカのアテナスを巡る☕ 世界一の気候とコーヒー栽培の国 #travelvlog

All right, everybody. Totally buenos Diaz to another traveling Costa Rica vlog here today. As you can see, we’re in Atinas. Atas just outside of San Jose about 30 minutes. We’re going to be doing a walkietalkie tour here in this nice little town. Nice little town. And as it says there, you can see Alora del Mundo, the best climate in the world. We’re going to find out, guys. We’re going to find out. We’re also going to do a drone flight here in Athenas and look around. It’s a pretty cool area surrounded by valleys. They grow a lot of coffee here. Before we begin all that, guys though, be sure to hit like, hit subscribe, tickle the bell notification. We upload a lot of uh videos of our travels here in Costa Rica. You’ll get notified when we upload a new video of those travels. Now, before we begin walking, let’s talk about how to get here to the sign at uh we’ll take a look at some of the drone footage as well. Okay. So, to get to Atas from San Jose, we’ll start this little tour at uh the airport there in Ala right there. That’s the international airport. Now, to get there, I drove out along Highway One here, and then continued along this road, Highway 3, kind of like zigzagged through the mountains and stuff like that. and you end up coming in from the east and there’s a tenas the downtown area. That’s where we’re going to be walking. And right here on this corner is where this video begins. And now let’s head up in the drone here in Atinas. We’ll start off at the Central Park. There’s the church we’re going to be seeing a little bit later. It’s big. Very nice. Very nice grounds. We’re going to see the grounds in the video in the walking tour in a in a little bit. There we are panning off into town a little bit. The bus station over there. We’ll fly over there in a minute. And of course then looking off into the mountains. Just surrounded by green here in this area. Super lush. It’s what we say in the biz. Super lush. Look at those mountains. Just houses. You’ll see outside of town there’s a lot of little roads, you know, that are built up and then just a lot of green space. Super nice. There’s like a wider shot of the park and the church together. Not too busy either. Not too busy either. Here’s the bus station. This is where the video is going to end. This is where we’ll end the video. So, that’s where we’re going to be heading in the walking tour. Just look at the mountains over there. So nice. It is. It is a very nice climate, I must say. You can see it’s a little overcast. It’s rainy season. I like it because it’s not blistering hot. So, I don’t know how Aineas is in other seasons. There’s a big wide shot of the whole town. Pretty built up. Pretty built up. You can see it’s like in a valley, right? It’s just surrounded by mountains. Well-defined area. more uh houses the suburbs outside of the downtown area. And guys, here’s a shout out towards San Jose. And this is a good opportunity to say thank you to everybody who is buying a coffee for me. A little tip for putting the videos up. There’s a link in the description below and on screen right there. And there you have it, guys. There’s one more shot of the church just cuz it’s such a nice church. Now, let’s head back to the ground. All right, cool. So, I trust you guys enjoyed some of the drone footage. As much as I like flying it, I love flying the drone. Let’s take a look at the sign here. Let’s see what’s going on. As with all the signs in Costa Rica, the city signs, there’s usually like artwork in each of the letters that kind of depict something locally. So, you can see a farmer. The church, the church is actually right over there. It’s open. I just did a a wrecky over there. We can go take a look. I think some uh buildings. Oh, some like colonial buildings. It’s pretty cool. People doing stuff, community things. A bridge with a train. A bridge with a train. Is there still a train here, guys? Let me know. I don’t know. I don’t know for certain. And oh, cows. I like cows. Eating them. And uh some fruits. Eating them, too. I like eating I like eating both of those things. Cool. So, guys, why are we in Atas? Actually, it’s funny. When I uh I just did the Aloha Market video cuz it’s a Saturday morning. And when I finished filming, a young man came up who’s actually in the video. You’ll see him in the video. He’s like, “Hey, bro.” And I was like, “Hey.” So, I went back. They had a lot of fruit. So, I went back to get some uh some fruits. His name is Kendall. And uh he’s a Tik Tocker, man. He’s a Tik Tocker. So, I said, “Hey, bro. You want to be in a video?” So, actually, one of the shorts I uploaded has Kendall in it, like hosting the video. Cool. Cool guy, man. Cool guy. He was a co-host for a video. He showed all his fruits and he’s from Atina. So, I was talking to him and his family there and I said, “Is it nice in AIA?” And they’re like, “Oh, yeah. It’s so nice.” So, I said, “Okay, I’ll go I’ll go check it out.” I thought when I left, thought I’ll go check it out. So, here’s the central square. Very nice. Very nice. Let’s go walk around this way. Why not? Let’s go. Let’s go this way. So, guys, Zarato Z Wi-Fi here. I haven’t tried to connect. I got like the LTE in, but like if you’re coming here for a short period of time, you want to get to the Wi-Fi. It’s free. Free Wi-Fi. So, that’s always a smart that’s a smart play. That’s a smart play. I dig it. What’s going on around here? You guys saw from the drone footage. Oh, this this thing has like fruits on it. What are those? Am I going to get dinged on my head? What are those? Any you fruit people out there, if you know, uh, they’re like walnuts, I think. Actually, I just scanned my memory banks. I think they’re walnuts. So, guys, Atas, Atas, I see it very popular with expats and immigrants coming here, people buying houses out here cuz it’s pretty strategically located, man. Loud motorcycles. Vroom vroom. That’s how they impress the ladies. That’s how they impress the ladies with the motorcycle. Just take the exhaust off. Go up here. And uh it is a cool climate. And I guess that climate designation is from National Geographics. That’s not like just a self assessed designation, the best climate. That’s from National Geographics. I just looked up and I’m going to I’m going to go over some of the things I recall cuz I did like a quick little research thing. population here. I think something like 8,000 it said and it’s like sprawling, right? So, there’s like this is the downtown area, but then there’s like a big sprawl around in all the mountains. You could see like just houses and houses, farmers, and this is coffee country. So, guys, I’m going to put a link in the description below. Maybe I’ll put a link on screen right now for the coffee I’m hitting right now. Poass, the poass blend from Brit. And you know, it’s interesting. I started doing the uh coffee reviews for the videos here because um let’s go this way. I was up in Coco. I was up in Pisto Coco and somebody came up to me and they’re like they were like a tourist and they they ask, “Oh, what coffee?” I guess the way I look I just you would presume I speak English. They’re like, “What coffee should I take home as like a gift?” And I was kind of like, “Well, everybody takes like the Brit gourmet coffees, right? That’s kind of like the go-to. You can’t go wrong with that.” So then I thought, why am I not doing this in the videos? So that’s what you’re going to start seeing. I’ll start like sampling different coffees from Costa Rica, especially the ones that you can order on Amazon and get them on Amazon. So here’s a kids park and there’s kids in it. So I’m not going to go walk over there. Not going to go walk over there and film the kids. Just so you know, there’s kids park over there. It’s got honey. Oh, cool. Fruit and oranges. Hold on, man. Oh, no way. Is the church closed? Oh, dude. That’s crazy. That’s crazy. It’s closed, but the grounds are open. There’s a bunch of cool statues on the grounds. So, we’ll go uh we’ll go walk around the grounds, I guess. That’s what’s so funny, guys. I I don’t really have time, quite frankly, the inclination of playing these videos. I just show up in places, grab my camera, and start filming. And uh it’s how she rolls sometimes. That’s how she rolls. You guys are just traveling with me. So sometimes it’s open, sometimes it’s closed. So here’s the church. Oh, cool. Big pine trees. Very, very cool. What else is going on, man? Look at how clean the grounds are here. Very clean grounds, I’d say. Indeed. There’s a statue. This maybe is a uh burial ground. Cool. There’s a big statue over there I want to go look at. Very nice. So, this is nice. This is nice. So, uh from the video, the bus station is over behind those buildings there. If you’re busing it around Costa Rica, that’s where you’ll go. There is a nice statue here. Look at the mountains off in the distance too. You know, just surrounded by it. Anywhere here in the central valley, right? I think uh Attenus is considered central valley, the the most western part of the central valley. This is a cool statue. Very nice. Very detailed indeed. Very detailed indeed. Very wellkept too. Like I mean everything everything in the Tina seems so wellkept. And despite the motorcycle earlier, I did notice that Atinas is like I I would say it’s quieter than other places that I’ve been like downtown Aloea as an example. Maybe Heredia as an example. It seems like there’s less like persistent traffic noise here. There’s the park. Maybe it’s just less cars or maybe people just not such angry drivers out here in Atasis just hitting the gasoline. I don’t know. I don’t know, right? It could be either or. If you live in a tenus, let me know. Let me know how you like it cuz I see a lot of comments people saying like, “Oh, if you want to just relax and you know, I don’t know anything about relaxing. My life is highrung. I run on high octane. So, I mean, I wouldn’t I wouldn’t do well in a place like this, but a lot of people don’t live that life. They want to relax. Take it easy. That’s cool, man. So, Tina is apparently one of those places where you can take it easy, right? It’s easy going. Now, that being said, if you want to go to San Jose, prepare to have an aneurysm if you’re in traffic in San Jose. Let’s uh I don’t know, walk this way to the bus stop. Let’s go to the bus stop. Oh, the the church is open right there. Oh, again. Dang it. Oh, he’s closing it. He’s closing. Ah, man. That sucks. It’s cool, though. I mean, it’s it’s kind It was kind of dark when I looked in there. I didn’t even know if it would show well on the video, like standing at the door and looking up at the altar cuz it’s kind of like the way it’s configured. But, it was nice. It was nice. Actually, the roof inside was all like uh plank hardwood kind of look. And it was pretty cool cuz it was like uh curved, right? All these like curved Man, I’m really stressing my vocabulary here. All these curved arches and parabolic functions on, you know what I mean? Made out of I don’t know, dude. It was just nice. Like, let’s just call it nice. I wish I could show you. Then I wouldn’t have to conjure up all these magical words for math. There’s BCR Banko to Costa Rica. That’s one of the national banks. So, I think where was the bus stop? Over here. I’m just going to try to not get hit by a car. I’ve said many times the name of this channel could just be Frogger Costa Rica. Canadian Frogger Guy Costa Rica. Try not to get hit by cars as I walk around. Oh, yeah. Okay. There’s a mega super. Every time I see mega super, I play the jingle in my head. Mega super. It’s like stuck, dude. It’s tattooed on my brain. It’s actually kind of concerning. Need medication or something. Where we at, man? I guess we’ll go up to this corner here. I mean, kind of committed. Kind of committed now. I’ll go on the road so families can stay. Okay, guys. So, if you come down here and park, I had to download an app, e park. I had to download an app. It wasn’t too bad, though. It wasn’t too bad. I mean, I I prefer not to, but wasn’t too bad. You just download the app, put your car in, put your name in, and then you pay with credit card. And I think for an hour, I paid like a buck 20. Wasn’t too bad. So, yeah, there’s Mega Super. Actually, I’m gonna go in there after and get a little sod pop. Gonna get a little sod. Here’s the bus station. Okay, perfect. This is good. This is good. I’m glad we came up here. So, here’s the bus station here, guys. And it seems that there’s like a market here, too. So, guys, I hope you enjoyed that walking talking tour here and drone video and attain us. If you did, be sure to hit like, hit subscribe right here on YouTube. Leave me a comment with your questions, feedback of this area, requests for other videos. I try to get them in as best I can whenever I’m going somewhere. You know, if you punch in a little stop for me, I can I can go there and film. And hope to see you in the next video, guys, which I think should be Hakaco. That’s where I’m going. That’s where I’m going. Thanks again for watching. Bye now.

📍Atenas is said to have the best climate in the world! It certainly seems that was. This nice, quiet town in the western central valley is super green and tranquil. Surrounded by mountains and coffee farms, it’s a great day trip from San Jose.
