ニカラグアでの最後の日々はまさに惨事でした。何が悪かったのか? – EP.354
Oh dear. Oh dear. Nothing like a little bit of drama on the road. Chile’s got a a nail in her rear tire. Mhm. There it is. That’s the one. Chile, I’m sorry this happened to you. Let’s pull it out. The good thing is she’s not leaking air. So maybe if we pull it out Oh. I’m really stuck inside. And this rings that tubeless. Wow. Look, this looks like a screw. Let’s see if she’s leaking air. No, nothing. No bubbles. I’m going to try with saliva just to be sure. Nope. No. No leak. Chill, you’re the best. I am so happy because I can still claim that since I’ve been using these tires on my round trip, which is seven years, h I’ve never had a puncture. Never had a puncture on Britain Adventure Cross. These are my favorite tires of all time. In my 20 year, eight years of riding, I’ve never been so passionate about tires like I am about these ones because they perform fantastically on dirt and pavement and they just they just don’t get punctures. I’m so happy. [Music] And of course, I’m doing short scales today through some dirt that road. Hello, Douggee. What’s going on? This looks like a fun road. kids going back from school and it’s only 11:50. But I’ve noticed that I think here the Nicaragua school is done by 12 cuz all the kids are coming back around that time every day. So that’s a good school. You’re only there till 12. I wish my school was like that. [Music] And we are back to pavement. Ooh la la. What a smooth road. My smooth road um was probably uh 500 meters long, maybe less. It’s in the progress. Okay, it’s happening. Just not yet. No, I think we going to join pavement again. So, I think it’s just going to be on and off. I mean, that’s not even pavement. That’s just a dead compacted dusty road base. Nice. And that was it. A lot of road works. I think this way. This way. I think this is the main road. We officially in the heart of town, San Juan delur. Ah, there’s a turtle. Maybe they have turtles here. Chile. Look for a nice place with a parking for you. So, here we have the main beach. It’s a very touristy town. So, the hotel is somewhere here. Uh like this one. This is where we’re staying because here there’s a parking chili. And here there’s a beach. We’re in. You got friends for tonight. And we’re in. This is my room for 50 bucks. Woohoo. Lots of love here. Hot water. I missed you so much. Hot shower. I’ll never take you for granted ever. Right. Well, so let’s go for a walk now. Have something to eat and maybe swim in the Pacific Ocean. Maybe. We’ll see how we go. I’m out, but it’s still very hot. And look at the beach. There are so many little boats here in the bay. It’s nice to see the side of Nicaragua at the end cuz yeah, throughout my time here, I was either in remote places or I was just camping where there are no tourists. Well, not too many at least two of them. We have a lot of backpackers here. And I don’t blame him because in Karago is so affordable except for this town. This town is expensive. But everywhere else you can just, you know, have a room for $20. Camping is like five in normal places. Some some of them charge you 40 for nothing. Yeah, I truly enjoy my time here. If I only had time, I would be here for another two months simply because it’s not all very crowded. Only 10 million people live here. You will have tourist hotspots like this, but in between there’s really a lot of nowhere, which I enjoyed. It’s cheap. You get the best quality for the price in whole Central America, I think. So, I really enjoyed my time here. [Music] It’s a sad day. Sad day. I’m leaving in Paragua now and I feel like I haven’t seen enough. I feel like I missed out on so much because I was rushing. I think I was here for 10 days. Not enough. Anyhow, we got to go. I have few days to get to the capital of uh Costa Rica to see my family. So, we on the run, right? So, Chile, we’re going to the border now. And at the end, I just wanted to say thank you so much for having me. I had the best time. I will be back. I know that definitely this is the country I want to return. Right on. Let’s head to the border. So long, Pacific Ocean. I’ll see you in a bit in Costa Rica. Hey hey hey hey hey hey [Music] hey. We are now on highway number one American highway. So I think this highway continues to South America. But don’t quote me because I’m hardly on it. I prefer back rows. What’s going on, Chile? What’s going on? Chile is fuming. Have I blown shock again? Here we have [Music] oil spill. And I’m thinking I’m on my shock again. And this is just uh Yeah, the oil is burning. But yeah, it looks to me like we’ve found a shock chili. Damn. Oh no. Damn. Chili. I feel like I’m having a deja vu. Do you remember 2017 Tajikistan when I blown my shock? I’m about to start Premier Highway and I’ve got my first technical issue with Chile. We’ve blown a shock. So oil is leaking everywhere. [Music] This is going to be a very bumpy road. Hope I won’t get seasick. That was an original BMW shark. That didn’t last that long. Yeah. And then I had to ride like a yo-yo for 2,000 kilometers off road highway. But this time, we’re lucky. We’re on a paved road. It won’t be that bad. So yeah, my first symptom some is just like, oh, the road is so smooth. Why am I like You know, why am I so soft on the suspension? That’s why. Yeah. So, you see, I’ve got oil everywhere. Everywhere. And it’s very Yeah. Yeah. Chile, you’ve got a lot of oil all over. I’m so sorry this happened to you. This is the TFX heavyduty suspension. I bought this shock in San Francisco like about two 3 years ago. I’m so surprised we don’t lasted that long. Well, it is what it is and we have to deal with it now. It’s not the end of the world because we’re on a highway. Smooth highway. It’s good. We’ll be fine. I had so many plans for Costa Rica. I was planning to do so much off-road on the entry. Ain’t happening now. I guess we’re going to try to head to San Jose now and try to sort it out. It’s a problem for later. Now, let’s just get there. Oh, it’s not too bad. It’s This road is very smooth. Like, we just can’t be on better roads than this. But the moment there is a bump, she’s like, she I was not expecting that. Honestly, the most important thing is for oil not to burn by the time I get to the border because I just Yeah, you know, they might not let me in. Okay, the border crossing is just here. You see Chile? Let me inspect you. Oh, Chile, stop. Don’t release any smoke. They’re not going to let us in. Yeah, you’re dripping oil. And you have to burn that out. That’s all right. I’m going to let her cool down. I think they might say something about that. I would. And it’s not good for the environment. Okay, chili cooled down a bit now. So, I will take my chance. Oh, look. She’s like still leaking a lot. Um, but it will take my chance. She cooled down. Hopefully, it’ll take a long time to do the paperwork and all of that. So, maybe by the time we get to Costa Rica, they won’t notice. Well, she won’t be smoking. All right, let’s uh do it. I’m going to put this camera back and we’re going to rely on Cena now. Wish me luck. Poor girl. That’s okay. Don’t worry. We’ll fix you. It’s not the end of the world. We can still travel. It’s still the best bike ever. I think we are in the wrong section. Chile. Let’s not park at the front. Let’s park here. Hide your so no one can hear. All right, we all done on this side. Probably took me hour and a half. Uh, everything didn’t make sense again. Just before the entrance, I had to pay $1. Then at the immigration, I had to pay $3. And then I had to see the guy who’s scanning the bags. He can give me the I don’t know, a piece of paper that I had to sign. And I had to go to the police station. Police station is just this station next to me. Then I had to then I had to go back to this building. You can see the customs. So, there was a lot of running around and none of it made sense. Okay, let’s go to Costa Rica. Border crossing now. So long, Nicaragua. I had so much drama in this country on my last days, but that’s okay. I still love Nicaragua. Hola. Hola. How are you? Uhhuh. I think I know which one. See, I guess I can go. All right, Chile. Let’s get out of here. Are we there yet? I’m guessing this way. Oh, and again we have to stay in the line with all the people. Oh, actually Chile, you have some friends. These guys are from Mexico. Wow, their bikes are so clean. And this is last 800 GS released, probably 18 or 19 model. Nice. Good bike. But you’re the best, Chile, despite your shock. Another hour and a half later. Oh god, I’m so tired. Uh, we’re in Well, sort of. I still need to go through custom building to buy insurance. Customs. Okay. Gracias. All right. So, these guys actually were proper customs. Um, they processed my paperwork and they charged me $47 for insurance. But this insurance is for six months. I don’t think you can do less than that because your visa is for six months. Oh my god. Chilly, come on. Oh. Oh, you’re so hard to reverse on this bumpy shock. Jesus, I’m so tired. Oh my god. It’s uh 3:00. I was three and a half hours in total. So, it’s not too bad, but it was just tiring. Welcome to Costa Rica. Woohoo! We’re [Music] in Chile. He said, “Chile?” Chile? Does he know you? I don’t know. Maybe he knows you. [Music]

In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don’t know my final destination or the duration of this journey.
Throughout my journey, I’m raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. All the money raised will go directly to helping Franek and his family lead as normal a life as possible so please donate generously: https://gogetfunding.com/arewethereyet/
None of that would be possible without my official sponsors:

Sometimes bad luck comes together. Luckily the puncture wasn’t too bad, pity about the shock Kinga 💪🏼👌🏼👍🏼👊🏼🤩
All by all nice scenery!!!!!
I know alot of the schools in the Caribbean start early and end around noon because of the temperature and the fact that they do not have air-conditioned schools. Not all, but alot.
Also I've been trying to decide where to go on my next holiday and you have sold Nicaragua to me! I love Honduras (and many other places) but…..there is a whole world out there!
Saw the smoke ,and thought major engine, trouble ,thank goodness it's only the shock
When the Poo Hits the Fan you still have a smile Kinga…… You are a real inspiration to us all…… I know that you do meet up with your Family for a relaxing Family Holiday…… I hope you come back to us Fully suspended and refreshed….. :-)) xxxxxx
❤❤❤❤👍
Hello Kinga, another adventure for you and Chilli. Not all adventures are pure pleasure, yet you turn your difficult situations into a victory! I admire your determination and never giving up on troubling situations. Safe and exciting travels for you, beautiful Kinga.
Hit up the Beemershop. I bought mine there for my 1250GSA. Ted will set you up with a good aftermarket set.
You think you have a problem
Can it be fixed with money?
Do you have the money?
If yes, then you don't have a problem.
Those Bridgestones are great tires if you have a sponsor! Otherwise they will cost you an arm and a leg because they don’t last very long. I only got 3,500 miles out of the rear tire!
Not bad for somebody that rides her bike that much overloaded.
Taking it all in stride is vey cool.
I am so pleased you made it to Costa Rica. Safe travels.
Kinga, I hope the shock of the price of the new 'Shock' wasn't too expensive. But things do happen when you least expect it. Travel safe🙂nz
Get an upgraded shock, so u can carry those loads mate, or cut down on ur luggage. Lots xxx
how many years has she been using that reapaired windscreen 4?
Can’t believe that tire is toast already.
We grew to love Nicaragua. The borders were the toughest to navigate, but if you want a unique experience the country is like travelling back in time. Best of luck with the shock. Much love Scott and Steph.
Привет Дорогая Кинга!Надеюсь ты уже заменила амортизатор,досадная поломка.Но ничего страшного,у вас с Чилли и зрителями ещё много миль впереди!С Уважением твой Борис из России!)
Moje wspomnienie z dzieciństwa, to fajne znaczki pocztowe z Nikaragui 😂
Time for some nice Ohlins suspension for Chillie! 👍👍
Oh
I like your philosophic notes at the end of the last few vlogs. Making the best of what ever is happening. 👍👍Thanks for taking us along and sharing the ride! Take care, Kinga! 🤟
Looks a fantastic country even if you were unlucky with mechanical issues…better luck next girl.
Hi Kinga, this was a interesting episode, hope everything get well with Chillie.
Take care and drive safely 🙌🔥🔥
😎👍🏍
Did I ever tell you what an awesome lady you are? I've been following you a few years now, and I fear I never did that so:
Dear Kinga, you really really rock! 🤩🤗
Two weeks ago, on May 11th, I set off on my KTM 790 ADV and noticed that the road felt strangely soft, almost as if I were sitting in a horse-drawn carriage. When I got off the bike, unfortunately, I saw smoke and oil—and yes, it turned out to be the rear shock absorber. I wish you a safe and accident-free journey! Greetings from Tyrol.
Hi Kinga, Nicaragua is certainly a lovely country, that's for sure, and I think your blown shock is realistic when you think of the terrain you cover with all that luggage, after all it's only O rings that seals the unit and with all that crud and dust two years ain't bad. A crud catcher might help not get so much muck and grit on your new unit. Thank you.
525 turn me on kinngggggaaaa hahahahaha
Kinga…I always thought you were above Click Bait… I guess not👎
You are still so darn positive even when your bike gives you a small worries❤
Tu español está cada vez mejor. Y ojalá hayas tenido suerte con la suspensión saludos 👍
