Staying in Tokyo with views of Mt Fuji – Sorano Hotel (4K)
Hello (Konnichiwa). Today I am in Tachikawa (a western part of Tokyo). Up these stairs is where I am staying at the Sorano Hotel. The hotel is located in a shopping centre known as Green Springs making it handy if you want shopping and dining facilities on your doorstep. At night the area is lit up making it look pretty. This is the entrance to the hotel. Lets go in. I’ve just checked in and made my way to the floor where I will be staying. Up ahead is my room and this is the floor plan. Tonight I am staying in the Studio Park View room. Lets take a look around. Bathroom. Kitchen sink with microwave oven. Lounge and bedroom area. Balcony. The area is very quiet and peaceful at night. It is getting late, so I will be off to sleep soon. See you in the morning. Goodnight. Good morning (Ohayō gozaimasu). To my surprise, I noticed Mt Fuji in the distance. I had no idea you could see it from the balcony. I will zoom in and take a closer look. This is the lobby and reception area. Here you can grab free coffee with bags of pastry to start your day. The area also features a gramophone. Alternatively, there’s a restaurant if you wish to grab breakfast, lunch or dinner. As it’s now morning, i’m going to take a look at the Green Springs shopping complex. Lets take a look around. During the time of filming, I was here in February. But… I wasn’t sure why there were Christmas trees still up. The area is surrounded by water features giving a calming atmosphere. It is still quite early so most shops haven’t opened yet. As it’s so quiet here, you wouldn’t think I am in Tokyo. To get to Tokyo station you can take the Chuo line from Tachikawa Station. It is an 8 minute walk from the hotel and takes 50 minutes to get to central Tokyo. For those of you that have viewed my other video about the robot cafe ‘Pepper Parlor’, there is a cafe 5 minutes away that serves your food with cat robots! If you wish to visit, look up Jonathan’s Coffee and Restaurant. I went there to get French Toast. It was delicious! For more information about Sorano Hotel or the Green Springs Shopping Complex, there are links are in the description box below. The hotel also provides dog friendly and accessible rooms. I hope you enjoyed this video. Please like, share and subscribe for more videos every 2 weeks. Thanks for watching. See you next time.
Sorano Hotel in Tachikawa is a little outside of central Tokyo taking just under an hour to get to from Tokyo station via the Chuo line. I visited back in February and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. If you feel like staying somewhere a little more quiet to central Tokyo, this would be a good place to start. There are a number of rooms ranging from standard double rooms to suites over looking Mount Fuji. You can also rent rooms that allow pets. Further information can be found in the link below:
