Recently, gourmet shops, wineries, and breweries have opened here, and it is becoming one of the hottest spots in Sendai. Akiu Grand Hotel is a large hot spring hotel where you can enjoy a spectacular view of Rairikyo Gorge, a luxury live kitchen buffet in the morning and evening, and two large public baths, and is one of the most cost-effective hotels in Akiu Onsen. In this video, we will give a full review of the charms of Akiu Grand Hotel, including the morning and evening buffet buffet , an overview of the hotel, the two large public baths, and the two rooms . The video is full of highlights, so please take a look. History and Overview Futakuchi Kaido Akiu Grand Hotel was founded in 1986, just before the bubble economy. Initially, there was only the main building, but in 1994, an annex (Momiji Castle) was added. In 2002, along with the State Guest House Sakura Rikyu and Hotel Zuiho both in Akiu Onsen, it became a subsidiary of Karakami Hotels & Resorts, which operates resort hotels across the country. *There is a link in the summary column. The main building guest rooms were renovated from 2015 to 2017. The large public bath in the main building was also renovated in 2018. The current Akiu Grand Hotel is a relatively large hot spring hotel with a main building on 5 floors above ground and an annex on 8 floors with a total of 140 guest rooms. Room Introduction I will explain the rooms at Akiu Grand Hotel. There are guest rooms in the main building and an annex, and although the main building is older, the rooms in the main building were renovated from 2015 to 2017 and all rooms now have beds. The main building has guest rooms overlooking the Rairikyo Gorge, so if you value the view and novelty, I think you should choose the main building.You can take a hot spring bath, enjoy a luxurious buffet in the morning and evening, and it’s a great value for 11,000 yen. That’s good, isn’t it? Rooms on the main building side are also available from the 12,000 yen range. In fact, there are rooms with even better value for money… If you can afford it, this room might be a good choice (^^♪ Our room is room 1315 on the 3rd floor of the annex . It’s a Western-style twin room on the 3rd floor. One Western-style room with a carpet . The view of the annex differs depending on the direction . (This is the view from the room in the figure) There are two single beds. Tea and sweets are “Yamashio Yokan” and mineral water in the refrigerator is free. There is a bag that can be used like a hot water basket. This is convenient 👍 The face towel has a logo on it. The toilet and bath are integrated. The toilet has a washlet. There are shampoos and toothbrushes provided by Ecology & Safety. There is also a cell phone signal connected to the main building . hand Room 416 is a 10 tatami Japanese-Western style room in the main building. This is a standard room in the main building, which was renovated in 2016.It is a spacious room with 10 tatami mats in the front and a bed space (6 tatami mats) in the back, so you can see the Rairikyo Gorge below . You can see Hotel Zuiho. There are two semi-double beds and a minibar. The TV was mounted on the wall.The bathroom was also a separate unit bath.There is a large bath on both the main building side and the annex side . You can take a bath in both.The large public baths on the annex side are “Date-no-Yu” and “Miharu-no-Yu.” Men ‘s and women’s baths change at different times. The large public bath on the main building side was renovated in 2018. “Bonten-no-Yu” and “Ai-hime-no-Yu” There is no gender change . Temperature: 84℃. Water is added, heated, circulated, filtered, and disinfected for hygiene purposes. There was a vending machine in the annex . Date-no-Yu (men’s bath at the time of shooting) Date-no-Yu There are 140 changing rooms, so there is plenty of space. Crib foot massage ^^ Cold water available. Washroom/powder space Try Kao cosmetics. There are various cosmetics for bathing ^^Date no Yu The indoor bath is made of stone and has ample space.You can see the open-air bath outside.There are also plenty of washing areas.You can also use soaps sold at the store, such as horse bath shampoo . 👍It ‘s a full-fledged dry sauna.The temperature was over 90 degrees Celsius.There was also a bucket for loyu ^^ There was cold water and a mat in front of the sauna. Let’s go to the open-air bath (^^♪ Date-no-yu The open-air bath is very large! It can fit more than 20 people. There are rocks around it, and it has a nice atmosphere 👍 Barrier-free is also taken into consideration . This is the spring bath (women’s bath at the time of the photo).The dressing area is ample space, and the washroom and powder room are almost the same. The indoor bath is quite different in color and shape from the previous Date bath. It ‘s bordered by brown stones and has a luxurious feel 👍 The Miharu bath was similar. It is quite different from the open-air bath Date no Yu, this is a long and narrow bath.It also has a nice atmosphere with rock decorations👍This bath has a more open feeling👍It is an open-air bath with a nice view♪ Main building Akiho stone decoration in the rest/meeting space in front of the large public bath.The standard coffee milk (^^♪ First is the men’s bath “Bonten no Yu”. Bonten-no-yu The changing area has been renovated so it’s very new 👍 It’s a washroom/powder area. Hair dryers and cosmetics are the same. The toilet and crib rest area is a little dimly lit and provides a space for you to rest. Apple cider vinegar was available. Good for getting cold 👍 Main building large public bath Men’s bath Bonten no Yu It is very new as it was renewed in 2018 👍 There is a hot spring bath right after entering. Bonten- no-Yu This is a spacious indoor bath. There are steps, and the back part is a little deeper. There was also a shower booth. The sauna in the men’s bath is a dry sauna. The temperature is high, so it’s nice to have a sauna ♪ There are enough partitions in the number of washing areas , and privacy is taken into consideration 👍 Shampoos are the same. Bonten no Yu The open-air bath has a roof, but the view looks like a panorama 👍The edge of the bath looms out, making it like an infinity bath ^^ The bath is made of stone and has a very luxurious feel 👍Back There are also rock decorations. There was also a space like a sleeping bath with pillows. It was pretty nice here 🤗 It’s a wonderful view. Next is the women’s bath, Megohime no Yu large public bath, and the layout of the women’s bath, undressing space, and powder space is different. It’s larger and more numerous than the men’s bath.👍There was also a rest area. There are enough washing areas like the men’s bath 👍Aihime no Yu It is a little smaller than the open-air men’s bath. The scenery reflected in the water is wonderful ♪ There is also a space to rest next to the open-air bath. Stroll around Rairikyo Gorge before dinner.The entrance to the Rairikyo promenade is next to the entrance. The whole promenade is quite long, but you can enjoy it just in front of the hotel. It is a spectacular view of the waterfall and valley (^^ ♪ You will be healed by the negative ions ~ The waterfall that can be seen in front of Akiu Grand Hotel is “Misuji Falls” If you have time, we recommend you to take a walk ^^ Enjoy The dinner buffet venue is located at the back of the annex and is reserved for the buffet.The staff has been preparing the food since early hours.The venue is very spacious and has plenty of seats.
