⁴ᴷ Toyama: Takaoka Station (富山県: 高岡駅) – Japan Walking Tour (May, 2025)
Last month, I refrained from taking any long trips, but now that the weather is getting warmer, I decided to head toward the Noto Peninsula on the Sea of Japan side this month.
My travels continue through Toyama Prefecture, and today I visited Takaoka City. It’s been about a year since my last visit, so this was a return trip. I started walking around the time when women working in the nightlife district were heading out for their shifts, and I passed by several cars that seemed to be picking them up or dropping them off.
In front of the station, there were a fair number of people—perhaps locals on their way home or business travelers. But once I moved a bit away from the station, the streets quieted down, and the only people I passed were a few out for a run.
