看板猫がおもてなしをする癒しの温泉宿 那須塩原 こだまの湯 山口屋旅館
I stayed at Kodama no Yu Yamaguchiya Ryokan in Nasushiobara, Tochigi Prefecture. Cute cats greeted me at the inn. I enjoyed the delicious food and the open-air bath at the inn. Please enjoy until the end. I arrived in Nasushiobara, Tochigi Prefecture. Before checking in at the inn, I did a little sightseeing. I arrived at Momijidani Suspension Bridge. It is a paid suspension bridge with a total length of 320m. I bought an admission ticket. The admission fee is 300 yen per adult. The pink post of happiness is cute. Let’s cross the bridge. Wow, I can see below… the bridge is shaking quite a bit… At the end of the bridge, there is a monument of the lovers’ sacred place. The heart is cute. You can see lovers’ sacred places in various places. You can see that the bridge is quite long from the other side. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom at this time. I’m sure it would be a spectacular view during the autumn leaves. I’m going to see the dam on the premises. Dam cards are distributed between 10:00 am and 2:45 pm, except on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and during the New Year holidays. Only one dam card is allowed per person. Shiobara Dam was built in 1979. At that time, water was not released. I found a stone statue of a kappa in a place like this. I crossed the suspension bridge and returned to the original location. I reached the center of the suspension bridge. This suspension bridge is the longest suspension bridge in Honshu as a non-stiffening girder pedestrian suspension bridge. There is a restaurant next to the suspension bridge. I didn’t have time to eat, but I wanted to eat Nasu-Shiobara’s specialty soup yakisoba. I headed to Yamaguchiya Ryokan. I arrived at “Kodama no Yu Yamaguchiya Ryokan”. It is a small inn in Nasu-Shiobara Onsen. The inn is about one minute away from the nearest bus stop. It can also be accessed by public transportation. The bus seems to run about once an hour. The nearest bus stop is Shiobara Monzen. There seems to be a bus that goes to JR Nishinasuno Station and a bus that goes to JR Nasu-Shiobara Station. It seems that the bus that goes to JR Nasu-Shiobara Station will be the one that goes to the check-out time . I checked in right away. I’m looking forward to meeting the cats! I found a photo of the cats! When you check in, you will be asked how much you like cats. Of course, I chose “I love them!” The private open-air bath requires reservations until 11:00 p.m. I made a reservation during the vacant time. Women can choose a colored yukata. I’m happy. Which one should I get? I decided on this blue yukata! Introducing the men’s indoor bath and open-air bath. (I got special permission to take the photos.) This is the changing room. There is a sink, and you can see the entrance to the indoor bath and the open-air bath. This is the indoor bath. It looks like it can accommodate about 5 to 6 people. There are 3 washing areas. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are available. Open-air bath. The sound of the water gushing out is soothing. Introducing the women’s indoor bath and open-air bath. (Photos taken with special permission) This is the changing room. The entrance to the indoor bath is right to the side. The sink looks newer than the one in the men’s changing room. In addition to the clothes basket, there is a hair dryer, cotton swabs, and tissues. I’m glad there are cotton swabs. The shower head is “Miracle Zero”. I’m glad that it can be made into a mist that is gentle on the skin. There’s a cat on the ceiling! lol The women’s indoor bath is a little smaller than the men’s indoor bath. There are two washing areas. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are available. Open this door to the women’s open-air bath. It has a very open feeling. There are chairs, so you can enjoy a relaxing bath. It must be nice to take a bath in the open-air bath while looking at the garden. When you go to the lobby, the cats will welcome you. All the cats are there. They’re so cute!! 😊 I fell in love with their cuteness at first sight ❤️ Their cries are so cute!! ! These cats are used to people. There are four cats at this inn. They look like they’re feeling good when their butts are patted. This cat’s name is “Kotetsu” This cat’s name is “Mugitan” “Mugitan” likes this brown blanket. Other guests also gather in the lobby to interact with the cats. This cat’s name is “Chappy” . Once I returned to my room, Mugi came over. (During my stay, I kept calling “Mugitan” “Mugichan”). I wonder if she’s interested in the outside? She got into a gap 😅 I noticed when I put out the chu-ru (cat treats) I brought with me! By the way, we have permission in advance to bring in “chu-ru”. I want to give everyone chu-ru to get along with the cats. Let’s go to the lobby on the first floor. Guide Mugi to the first floor. Lol What a great jump! I think I can guide her to the lobby somehow. In the lobby, the staff were giving chu-ru to the cats. Let’s give her some chu-ru right away. Is she full? Chappy loves Churu. He is engrossed in eating the Churu we brought with us. I wonder if he is satisfied? This cat’s name is “Rei-kun”. This inn is famous for its cats, and it seems that even celebrities have stayed there. Chappy is very interested in the camera. The cats came to play in our room again! Rei-kun is thinking about whether to go in. Mugi-chan is looking around the room. Kotetsu is wandering around the window. It’s time for our reservation for the private open-air bath. We reserved the open-air bath on the left. This is the first private open-air bath on the left that we will use that day. It looks nice to take a bath while looking at the garden . The water is a hot spring containing metasilicic acid, which is a skin-beautifying ingredient. It warms you up. This is the private open-air bath on the right. I think I’ll take a bath at night. By the way, you can wear these shoes at the entrance to the private open-air bath. Room 203, where I will be staying this time. The room tour begins. It is a Japanese-style room with 8 tatami mats. I booked the standard plan with 11 dishes for dinner. ¥33,700 per night for 2 peopleTVHeaterDresserThe hairdryer was stored here. The hairdryer is made by PanasonicTissuesOh , it’s a rare rotary phone now! Towel rack, trash can, floor light. You can adjust the brightness of the light by touching it. On the table are the TV remote control, room key, and manju for tea. There is a tag to attach to the slippers, which shows the inn’s careful consideration. There was hot water in the pot. Tea set. Green tea tea bags. When you open this… HangerHairbrushFace towel set, bath towel, yukata obiThe toothbrush and face towel have the words Yamaguchiya Ryokan printed on them. The yukata on the left was prepared in the room. HaoriSafeCheck the bathroomThe toilet has a washbasin with a warm water cleaning functionHand soapBathtub . There was an open-air bath and a large bath, so I didn’t use it. The shower head is movable. The mirror was on the wall. Check the emergency light. On top of the refrigerator are glasses, a bottle opener, and a pot of cold water. The refrigerator has a sense of history. It looks like it can hold plastic bottles. The beer, cola, and ginger ale in the refrigerator are charged. (When you drink, you have to declare the bill.) When you open the shoji on the window side, you can see the scenery outside. Check out the information about Yamaguchiya Ryokan. There was a description of the hot springs. The private open-air bath can be used after 11pm without a reservation. It’s OK if the key to the private open-air bath is empty. Roast beef is this inn’s signature menu. Breakfast starts at 8am. The front desk is open until 11pm. Available from 7:30 the next morning. There was an introduction to the cats at this inn. Let’s learn the characteristics of cats. Chappie and Rei don’t like loud noises and voices. I love churu. Kotetsu has a tendency to escape, and Mugi-chan is naughty. The correlation diagram of cats is interesting! I use Instagram at the inn. Wi-fi is also available at the inn. There are many cat decorations inside the inn. The decoration of the lobby is wonderful, so I would like to introduce it to you. These decorations are the first thing you see when you enter the inn. The hanging dolls are all handmade by the innkeepers. Really nice. This is the first time I’ve seen a hanging chick this big. There are also pictures of cats on display. This must have been difficult to make. Found a cat toy. Let’s play later. It was time for dinner. The dining area is divided into separate rooms, so you can enjoy your meal in peace. We had a standard course with 11 dishes. There are various dishes such as pork yakiniku, roast beef, shrimp and crab tartare. Let’s grill the pork and vegetables. Cover and steam-fry. Wait for a while until it is baked. Chawanmushi. Furofuki radish mushroom sauce tonight’s menu. Easy to understand! What does tomato potage soup taste like? The course menu will still appear after this. It might be quite voluminous. Cheers 🍻 I’ll have some tomato potage soup. Low acidity, creamy and delicious! I was looking forward to the roast beef, the signature menu item at this inn! Served with wasabi. looks delicious~. It’s soft and very delicious! 😋The roast chicken is also soft and delicious. Sweet potato with cream cheese. Chawanmushi is served hot. Furofuki radish has a very gentle taste. This inn had a reputation for having delicious food, so I was looking forward to eating there. Miso soup and rice were brought early. I’m so happy about the spring-like bamboo shoot rice! ! The tempura platter arrived. It looks like the pork was burnt. It smells delicious. I’ll take it. Lettuce is crunchy! The shrimp are plump and go well with the tartar sauce. I love bamboo shoot rice, so I’m happy to be able to eat it. The most popular course is 13 dishes, but I feel like even 11 dishes is quite a lot. Many of the menu items use local ingredients, which is nice. A huge amount of tempura. Pleasant surprise. Vegetable tempura is crispy and very delicious. I was able to get a second helping of rice, but I was so full that I didn’t think it would be possible. Roast beef is a dish that is carefully prepared using low-temperature cooking. It was so delicious that I wanted to eat more! recommendation. I saved my favorite shrimp tempura for last. The miso soup was nameko soup. It’s red and very delicious. I found a cat here too 😊 Finally, I had a refreshing pickle… Click here for the drink menu. Alcohol and soft drinks are available. Dessert came with strawberry ice cream. The ice cream was also delicious. All of the meals were very satisfying. Thank you for the meal! After dinner, hang out with the cats in the lobby. The cuteness of the cats is exploding! Chappie doesn’t mind being pointed at the camera. thank you. Rei-kun, will you look at me…? He turned to me! I am completely in love with the cuteness of the cats… ❤️ Is the escaped cat Kotetsu waiting for an opportunity…? Chappie starts playing with Tabi’s toys again. Wow, I’m chewing so much… I’m running wild. Have you calmed down a bit? Rei-kun and Chappie are brother cats, so they are very good friends😊Chappie played with the toys. fun? Chappie is looking outside… The pole at the entrance is used to prevent cats from escaping. Do cats go into these places ? ? ? Wow, I wonder if Mugi-chan wants to come into this room lol in her yukata ? ? Mugi-chan has given up on entering the room.At this inn, if you leave the room door open, you can invite the cats to come and play. Ah, Mugi-chan came to visit us right away. I’m very interested in futons. Want to play with cable? Ah, the futon is skinny 😅 Are you tired of it already? Now that I think about it, it seems like she’s interested in the bathroom. Oh, I got into the bathtub 😅 Mugi-chan is really curious. picture? Are you worried about that hole? ? Can’t get off? Ah, amazing! I got into the gap! I also took a bathtub. picture? Is that what you are concerned about? ? Oh, don’t open it 😅 It seems like she’s already left the room, so I’ll open the door for her. I think I want to go to the next room. When I tried to take a private open-air bath after 11 p.m., I saw Kotetsu-chan! I’m planning an escape. “The cat has escaped, please close the door.” What should I do… It’s dangerous at night, so I can’t let the cat out… For now, let’s get away from here and spread Kotetsu-chan… It’s a battle of wits with the cat 😅 Somehow, I was able to take a private open-air bath. it was good. The private open-air bath is on the right. There is a changing basket in the bathroom. It’s night and it’s very atmospheric. There is no washing area in the private open-air bath. Relax and enjoy the hot springs flowing directly from the source. The best. Let’s take a look at the Nyapple (magazine) in the room. It’s fun to look at tourist spots where there are cats. This accommodation was also listed. good morning. It’s breakfast time. The warm miso soup is delicious. Breakfast is like this. Miso soup, pickles, yam, rice, mackerel, ham, salad, hot spring eggs, seaweed, and natto. I’ll enjoy having this. I ate too much last night, so this amount is just right for breakfast. The miso-stewed mackerel is well-cooked and delicious. I love yam. The locally grown rice is very delicious. Onsen eggs are delicious. The staff at this inn were friendly and helpful, and it was very comfortable. I had to get a second helping of rice. It was delicious till the end. The breakfast menu looks like this. Finally, we finished the meal by drinking tea. I decide to go back to my room. I’m sorry for stopping you from escaping last night, Kotetsu-chan. Ah, Rei-kun came to my room to visit. Are you worried about the outside? Cute cat socks were on sale in the lobby on the first floor. Let’s give Kotetsu a churu. Everyone is here. Chappie and Mugi-chan, please take care of yourself. A staff member asked me to try CoroCoro (carpet cleaner) because I love it, so I’m doing it. It seems to feel good. My favorite cat saw this for the first time! He doesn’t run away at all 😅 He seems to be happy after finishing the grind. Mugi-chan seems to be tempted to bite Churu no matter what. I’m glad you enjoyed the meal. Kotetsu-chan comes to the room and is looking outside… I wonder if she is planning to escape again? Ah, I’m gone… Mugi-chan came next. Thank you for coming to see me before checking out. Kotetsu-chan was waiting at the entrance to escape. The food, the open-air bath, the staff, and the cats were all great. I definitely want to come again. Thank you for your hospitality!
