Hello, nice to have you with us today! With VR glasses you can even experience this great place up close. This evening we explore the streets of Kanayama. When exploring the small, idyllic town, what is particularly striking is the quiet. Due to local regulations, there is always some free space between the houses. The peace and quiet is accentuated by the chirping of the swallows, which are busy building their nests. Not only fans of Silent Hill should feel at home here. The “village atmosphere” of the small town offers a good break from the urban jungle. A setting that will certainly make us happy in the finished Silent Hill The river and its old houses, some of which are still inhabited today, invite you to explore . This street also reminds me of the footage shown in the Silent Hill presentation. In this scene, Hinako and her friends were in such a place – about 60 years ago… Just around the corner is an old onsen. The onsen is open to the public. The onsen was a popular place in Kanayama, because not every house had its own bathroom. On the right side are the lockers in which the guests’ belongings were stored. The same key was used for all lockers The bathing pool is small but quite deep. The bathers stood around to take a bath. Excessive bathing was probably a rarity in these bygone days . The last bath was enjoyed here in 1988. Hello, Wanko-chan! Then let’s explore the alleys around the onsen again. Some alleys were used by the residents back then to bypass the main streets. There was a lot of traffic on the streets back then. The small side alleys offered a safe alternative to get through the town. After buying food and drinks we explore the streets of Kanyama, feel delight by watching the old traditionall japanese houses and relaxing atmossphere.

Also we entered a abandoned onsen.
This public bath was in use last time in 1988 and is free to enter for the public to look arround there.
