Osaka 3 days and 2 nights Vlog Amanohashidate Viewland Amanohashidate Viewland Cold Udon Amanohashidate Kaisen Bridge Ine Bay Cruise Ship Inefunaya Grill Capital Touyoutei Kyoto Kiyomizu-dera Sannenzaka Street Uji Ujigami Shrine Green Tea Takoyaki Arrived at Kansai Airport! Let’s take Haruka to Tennoji Station. The boarding area is on the 2nd floor. You can go to Osaka by taking the Haruka or Rapi:t on the second floor. These days, you can board with QR without exchanging tickets, so we recommend making a reservation in advance! Arrived at the accommodation! It was cheap on a weekday, so it was good value for money. It was clean and had everything you need, but like a Japanese hotel, it was small. It’s amazing that there’s even a bathtub in a small bathroom. And good point! There is a hot spring! The hot spring was small, but it was 100 times better than nothing. I couldn’t take pictures inside the hot springs, so I took pictures from the internet. After checking in at the hotel, I went to Kobe Rokkomichi Station. I’m on my way to catch a bus to Kobe Rokko Observatory. Due to flight delays, I canceled my entire Kobe itinerary and decided to only go to Mt. Rokko. I arrived at the Rokkosan cable car station after 8 o’clock. Go up by riding the Mt. Rokko cable car, which opened in 1932. It was 8:20 pm and there was no one there. I was worried that operating hours would end, but it was safe just in the nick of time! It was a shame that I came late and couldn’t go to the pretty cafe at the observatory. Since I had to take the last cable car, I only had 20 minutes to see the sights. As I was coming up, I wondered if I had come for no reason, but now that I’m here, it’s really nice. It was a good thing I came. [Japan’s top three night views, Kobe Rokkosan Observatory] [For your information, Japan’s top three night views are Kobe, Hakodate, and Nagasaki] [Kobe’s night view took just 20 minutes, but it was enough! I think I made a good decision to come] [One of Japan’s three greatest night views, Kobe Rokkosan Observatory] I took the blue cable car on the way down. I was so pressed for time that I couldn’t even eat, so I ended up eating a sandwich from a convenience store for dinner. Still, I was grateful just to be able to see the night view. After returning to my accommodation in Osaka, I went into a local izakaya 3 minutes away. First of all, I ordered draft beer first, and since the menu was only in Japanese, I ordered sushi after seeing what people were eating. The atmosphere of the store felt like something out of a Japanese drama, Late Night Diner. Perhaps because I just ate beer, sushi, and dinner, it felt more delicious than the sushi chain restaurant. A 3-minute walk from the accommodation, I am very satisfied with the local izakaya! Morning of the second day. Today is the day to go to a place I’ve been wanting to go for a while. I finally got to visit Amanohashidate and Inefunaya. How do I get there? First, you have to go to the bus boarding location. The bus departure point is Nipponbashi Station. I applied for a bus tour, and it was much cheaper than the round-trip train cost. The downside is that it leaves too early! I also ate breakfast at a convenience store. Amanohashidate is a remote but beautiful place located in northern Kyoto. Arrived at Amanohashidate. First, we are going to View Land to see one of Japan’s three most spectacular views. There are two ways to get to Viewland. The first is to take the monorail, and the second is to take the chairlift, but I decided to take the lift. The reason is because the line for the lift moved faster than the monorail and it looked fun. This is a chairlift, but there are no special safety devices, so you have to ride it yourself. But it wasn’t scary, and it seemed like even people with a fear of heights could ride it. It’s not exact, but I think the ride took about 10 minutes. When you come up, you will come across a place that looks like a small amusement park. Isn’t the park so pretty? I felt like I had returned to childhood. I suddenly wanted to see the sky bike. Like a bicycle, you have to pedal to go forward and there is no time limit, but if you go too slow, they will tell you from behind, so you can go at your own pace. It was a great feeling to see the view of Amanohashidate, one of Japan’s three most spectacular views, from above. They say that if you look upside down through the crotch, it looks like a dragon ascending to heaven, but I’m not sure because I haven’t tried it. Yesterday was the top 3 night views, today is the top 3 spectacular views. It’s like breaking a seal. For reference, the three greatest views refer to Matsushima, Amanohashidate, and Miyajima. After riding the sky bike, I can see pudding. The pudding was delicious, but too expensive, like 450 yen. I was thinking about going down for lunch, but decided to just eat here. The price was not cheap, so I ordered the cheapest cold udon tempura set (1,200 yen). The taste was just edible, neither very tasty nor bad. There was no frying sauce, and they said you could just dip it in cold udon soup and eat it. There was a spinning iron observatory next to the restaurant, so I decided to go there. I think I saw something similar in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do… I think they named it Sky Path because it felt like I was walking in the sky through the winding path. One of Japan’s three greatest views! The strange thing is that the left is a lake and the right is the sea! I felt like I had seen everything there was to see, so I decided to go down. A tense moment! All you have to do is time it right and sit on the chair. [Japan’s three most scenic views, Amanohashidate] Strangely, why do I want to take a picture every time I see a scene like this? The advantage of the Inefunaya tour was that there was a lot of free time. Just set the time to board the bus and the rest is free time! So, for the next course, I am going to the park on my own. Usually, the next course goes to Chion-ji Temple, but I decided to go to Kaisen Bridge. After passing Kaisen Bridge, you come to a park, and the view from here was also very nice. Kaisen Bridge is a unique rotating bridge that connects Amanohashidate with the mainland. As shown in the video, when a ship passes by, it turns 90 degrees to open the way. A unique place that returns to its original state and becomes a bridge when a ship passes by. I wanted to go across the bridge to the end of the park, but it was time for the bus, so I decided to go back. The next course takes us to Ine Village, but first we go on a cruise ship. Arriving at the cruise ship boarding area, there were many Chinese people. It takes about 20 minutes to walk around the village, so be sure to grab some shrimp crackers before boarding. [Inehunaya Cruise Ship] It was a cruise ship worth taking at least once. Arrival at Inefunaya, the last course of the tour! Inefunaya is a fishing village with floating houses called the Venice of Japan. It is also famous for its unusual structure, where the first floor has a place to store boats and the second floor is a house. I’ve wanted to come here so much! It’s so beautiful. Unfortunately, we only had about 40 minutes to see the village. First of all, my goal is to go to a cafe and have a cup of coffee! I need to go quickly, but the scenery keeps stopping me. It was disappointing that 40 minutes felt like not enough time. Arrived at the most famous Ine Cafe in town! Business hours are from 11 am to 5 pm. I arrived at the cafe, but they said they were out of drinks, so I had to give up and just look around the cafe. There is a space where you can go outside, so let’s do some sightseeing. The scenery is crazy. The water was really clean. Cafe 2nd floor. It would be great to drink a cup of iced Americano here… Next time, maybe I should come by train instead of taking a tour… It’s a shame, but I decided to go back, thinking I might have a chance to come again next time. I should at least have ice cream instead of coffee. What kind of ice cream should I try? I also bought Ramune cider. While eating ice cream, we are on our way to see the village one last time. The Venice of Japan, maybe even prettier than Venice? I don’t know because I haven’t been there. The bus tour ended like this, and I decided to get off in Kyoto. Dropoffs were available and optional in Kyoto and Osaka. I came to have dinner at a restaurant called Dongyangjeong inside the Isetan Department Store in Kyoto Station. This is a hamburger steak restaurant that opened in 1897, over 100 years ago. I ordered a set rather than a single item, and the tomato salad came out first. Ah… I don’t really like tomatoes, so why are they delicious? After eating the tomato salad, mushroom soup was served, which was also delicious. And the main hamburger steak was served, but unusually, I had to tear the foil to eat it. All I could think was, “Maybe it’s to lock in the juices?” It looks delicious just by looking at it, right? Personally, I think Japanese food is salty, but this was not salty and was delicious. Another kick is potatoes! The potatoes were really delicious. After eating black tea and strawberry cake, the meal is over! It was the first proper meal in a long time. I don’t want to write a separate review about the accommodation on the second day. Because I didn’t have money, I booked a really cheap place to stay, but it wasn’t much more than that. I didn’t want to stay at the hotel, so I just walked along the Kamo River and went in to sleep. Starting the third day, while waiting for the bus to go to Cheongsui Temple, take bus number 206 from Kyoto Station and get off at Kiyomizu-michi. Get off the bus and arrive in 10 minutes! If you don’t know the way, just follow people. If you come before 8 a.m., you can see the streets of Cheongsusa Temple being quiet as there are not many package teams. If you come late, this street may be full of people. For reference, Cheongsusa Temple is a temple that was registered as a World Cultural Heritage site in 1994. I was planning to go to O’Hara this time because it’s so famous and I’ve been there a few times. The weather was bad and I was so tired because I couldn’t sleep, perhaps because the accommodation was uncomfortable the night before. In the end, Ohara came to Cheongsusa Temple, which was easy because transportation was inconvenient and far away. On the way to the entrance of Cheongsusa Temple, you can visit for free up to this point. Cheongsusa Temple is located high up, offering a panoramic view of the entire city of Kyoto. You can purchase a ticket here and enter. Many people were looking at the main hall of Cheongsusa Temple from early in the morning. I was standing in line to get a fortune teller, and most of them seemed to be Chinese. Since I’ve been here a few times, I went straight to the viewpoint. The main temple was built without using nails and has a very unique roof. Like the Osaka Expo Grand Ring, I thought the main hall was built without using nails. It looks like it’s going to rain at any moment. And if you go down a little bit, you can see three waterfalls. The three-pronged waterfall, called Ottawa Falls, symbolizes health, love, and learning, respectively. When you drink up to two glasses of water, your wish will come true. It is said that if you drink all three, your luck will worsen. I take my health seriously so I decided to drink the first glass of water. A view of the main temple from below. It’s raining. Let’s go outside quickly. Even though I’ve been here several times so far, I never got bored. There are two shopping streets leading from Cheongsu-ji Temple, Sannen-zaka and Ninen-zaka. If you come down from Cheongsu Temple, you will reach Sannenzaka, and if you go a little further, you will reach Ninenzaka. The signs are well marked, so just look and follow them. From here is Sannenzaka Street, so I recommend coming early in the morning. I love the quiet streets of Sannenzaka in the rain. It was quiet as the stores had not opened yet. Sannenzaka photo zone! It’s so quiet here… It’s a nice feeling. If you go up from the Sannenzaka photo zone, you will see a signpost leading to Ninenzaka. The shops on Ninenzaka Street weren’t open so many, so it was quiet, which was actually nice. I was tired after walking all morning and really wanted to drink coffee. After drinking a cup of Family Mart iced coffee, I moved on to my next destination, Uji. There are two ways to get from Kyoto to Uji. The first way is to take the JR Nara Line. The second way is to take the Keihan train. Uji recommended course (Keihan Railway – Ujigami Shrine – Byodoin – JR train return). Ujigami Shrine is a national treasure of Japan and a designated World Cultural Heritage site. It was a good place for a walk because there were no people and it was very quiet. No admission fee. As soon as you enter the entrance, you will see the worship hall, which is designated as a national treasure of Japan, and the main shrine behind the worship hall is said to be recognized as the oldest existing shrine building. And there were more unidentifiable things to the side. It was a small but meaningful world cultural heritage that could be seen in 10 minutes. Personally, I felt that it was a good travel destination to take a walk and think because the road leading there was pretty. Leaving Ujigami Shrine, crossing Uji Bridge and heading to Byobyoin Street. At the end of Uji Bridge, there is a stone statue of a woman who is said to be the author of the Tale of Genji. The road to Byeoin, another World Cultural Heritage site in Uji. While walking down the street, I saw a green tea ice cream shop and decided to try some. Uji is famous for its green tea. It tastes like ordinary green tea ice cream. Since I’m in Uji, I guess I should buy some green tea, right? There is also a Starbucks, which is said to have been built in traditional Kyoto architectural style. Of course you should go. Perhaps because I am ignorant of architecture, I couldn’t tell which part was Kyoto’s traditional style. I don’t know the architectural style, but the matcha latte here is so delicious, right? Be sure to try the matcha latte at Uji Starbucks! The thick one was so delicious. And I couldn’t pass up the green tea takoyaki. A place where everything is green tea. I ordered 4 just to taste. Very friendly staff. The color was a bit strange, but it was surprisingly delicious! 4 pieces cut in quick succession! I have to go to the airport to catch a flight, so I’m waiting for the train to go to Kyoto Station. When I went there, I took the JR train to Kyoto Station in one go. When I arrived at Kyoto Station and was on my way to board the Haruka, I saw an udon restaurant and decided to eat there. The last meal on this trip. Ordered cold udon and draft beer. I had a good time. The end of our Osaka trip! Subscriptions, likes, and notification settings are a great help to me.
