LA VILE :
Cette ville se trouve dans le Delta du Mékong qui, en vietnamien (đồng bằng sông Cửu Long), signifie littéralement le delta des 9 dragons
Chau Doc totalise 162 000 habitants et se situe dans la province An Giang
Étant frontalière avec le Cambodge elle est un carrefour commercial

Il n’y a pas vraiment de petites rues ou de petits quartiers
En revanche, les rues sont très commerçantes et il y a de beaux bâtiments comme par exemple la rue Lê Công Thành

2 PONTS :
Je te recommande d’aller jusqu’au pont Cầu Vĩnh Nguơn au bout de la rue Thủ Khoa Nghĩa, de le traverser pour ensuite marcher sur la rive en face, le long de la rue Tây Xuyên jusqu’au second pont métallique pour les 2 roues uniquement
Il est très beau (je n’ai pas trouvé son nom, il est dans la continuité de la rue “Đường Trần Hưng Đạo”)
Ces 2 ponts enjambent la fin du canal “Kênh Vĩnh Tế” qui marque la frontière avec le Cambodge

LE MARCHÉ CENTRAL :
Je te conseille fortement d’aller voir le marché central de la ville : Chợ Châu Đốc
Attention il y a 2 bâtiments :
Le premier qui est dans la ville a peu d’intérêt, c’est le second qui se trouve le long du bras du Mékong (Sông Châu Đốc) qui est superbe et avec une incroyable ambiance. 
Il y a un tas de vendeurs également sur la rue qui longe le marché : Trần Hưng Đạo
Essaye d’y aller tôt le matin, en pleine effervescence (il ouvre à 5h)

BALADE EN BATEAU :
Ici l’attraction phare, c’est d’aller voir les villages flottants 
Lors de ma visite du marché un monsieur me propose de faire un tour avec sa petite barque en bois à moteur durant une heure pour 300 000 Duong (11€)
J’accepte et monte avec lui (nous ne sommes que tous les 2)
Nous nous arrêtons en premier dans un village piscicole qui a été formé dans les années 1960 et qui s’étend sur près de 10 kilomètres
Toutes les maisons sont très colorées et chaque famille a son propre élevage de poissons “Pangasius” ou “basa” que l’on appelle plus communément Poissons-chats

Nous nous arrêtons dans l’une de ces maisons flottantes et il me montre la trappe par laquelle on peut voir les milliers de poissons frétiller puisque les cages submergées se trouvent sous la maison. 
Nous allons ensuite en direction des villages sur pilotis.
La balade est superbe le long de cette rivière bordée de ces impressionnantes maisons perchées sur de gigantesques échassiers de bois

Pour faire la même balade en bateau, je te conseille soit d’aller au marché central et de descendre au bord de l’eau (comme je l’ai fait) ou éventuellement d’aller voir près de l’embarcadère “Phà Châu Giang”, il y aura sûrement des gens qui proposent des tours.
