Japan Walking Tour
Walk around Nezu Shrine and Yanaka Ginza, a hidden gem in Tokyo It has come to a residential area in Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo. I was looking for a rental bicycle stop and ended up traveling quite far from my destination. Please subscribe to the channel. We need everyone’s help to run it. The University of Tokyo is just a stone’s throw away. There are probably many University of Tokyo students living in apartments and condominiums around here. West gate of Bunkyo Ward Masayuki Elementary School There’s a crackling sound coming into the microphone. Difficult to place it. A nondescript Japanese residential area. Nakasendo Route 17. You can see My Basket Bunkyo Mukaioka 1-chome store. I guess this is an old-fashioned fish shop, but it’s one that continues well in this location. Even a small house like this must be quite expensive. Mysterious characters. I guess it’s oracle bone characters. The outer wall of Saizenji Temple. The last one is a cat. It’s probably just a unique relief in the style of oracle bone letters. All the young people passing by look smart. Probably a student at the University of Tokyo. They really have different auras. Cross Hongo Street. You can see the 7-Eleven Bunkyo Mukaioka 2-chome store. What happened to your daughter? Continue on through the residential area. To be honest, it’s not a very beautiful townscape. Wouldn’t you like to live in an area like this? It’s probably a super high-class residential area with expensive properties. It feels like a back alley from the Showa era. It is difficult for fire engines to enter these areas, making them vulnerable to major earthquakes and air raids. It seems like it has been burned many times since the Edo period. I went to Nezu Uramonzaka. Nippon Medical University Hospital is on the left. We finally arrived. This is Nezu Shrine. Its founding date is unknown. It is said to be an old shrine that is said to have been founded by Takeru Nihon almost 1900 years ago, but it is a tradition. It is one of the ten companies in Tokyo. Senbon Torii Maybe Asura Torii is small. I’m hitting my head a little bit. I thought it was a wedding, but it was a cosplay shoot. Well, there are no wedding dresses at shrines. Foreign tourists are also visiting this place. A place like this is better than a crowded place like Sensoji. The rows of torii gates are uneven and not very beautiful. I would like it to be arranged more neatly. I guess it’s crooked because everyone bumps their heads against it. I took this photo while crouching down. fine gate The main shrine is also luxurious The plum blossoms are also blooming beautifully. I wonder if the University of Tokyo examinees come here to pray. There was a stand where there was a cosplayer earlier. I entered from the back gate, so this is the front gate. Beautiful manners. wonderful. Maybe a student at the University of Tokyo? This area is said to have been a temple district and a Nezu red light district during the Edo period. It seems that the Nezu red light district was moved to Shusuzaki because Tokyo University students were considered to be invading the red light district. Conversely, there was also a plan to move the University of Tokyo to Chiba. I’m walking around Yanaka 3-chome. It is said to be called Yanesen by taking the first letters of Yanaka, Sendagi, and Nezu. I’ll go to Yanaka Ginza. You can see the Taito Ward Yanaka Civic Center. That’s admirable. Chomyoji Temple. It’s a big temple. This is Yanaka Ginza. This is the staircase where you can see the sunset gradually. As the name suggests, the sunset is beautiful. At this time of day, it’s just a staircase in the city. An apartment building is being built on the left, but the view is likely to be poor. If you want to see the scenery, now is the time There are many foreign tourists. I wonder if it was recommended somewhere? The left hand is quite damaged. Standing bars are thriving with foreigners. Looks like fun. What is a capsule pharmacy? I wonder if there are any medicines in the gacha gacha. It was a normal shopping street, but I wonder why it has become a tourist destination. I wonder if the city was doing a good job of advertising. Japan now has many shuttered shopping streets, so areas like this are valuable. I found a nice back alley. That’s all for today. Thank you for watching. If you like it, please subscribe and like the channel.
