＃1 銀山温泉行ってきました/千波このは
Hello, this is Chinami Konoha. This time I will introduce Ginzan Onsen in Ohanazawa City, Yamagata Prefecture. It is a hot spring town located about 20 minutes by bus from Oishida Station on the Yamagata Shinkansen. Get off the bus and go down the hill to Taisho. Before we get to the romantic scenery, let’s first go to this souvenir shop.
This shop sells Yamagata’s specialties, but what we recommend is this hot spring manju. Both fried manju and regular manju are delicious, so when you visit, You can also buy. “Kujira Mochi”, a local sweet that has been around since the Edo period, here. Unfortunately, I couldn’t buy curry bread, but there were various souvenirs, and they were all delicious. Let’s talk about souvenirs here. Let’s go to see the scenery of the hot spring town. The retro atmosphere is amazing , as if you have traveled back in time. One of the highlights is the paintings done by a craftsman called Kote-pictures. Next, let’s take a look at the night view. Gas lamps The night view with the lights on has a different atmosphere from the daytime and is also wonderful. Next time, I would like to see the scenery covered with snow in winter. Let’s move on. Let’s go further from the hot spring town and see Shirogane Falls. The negative ions soothe me. Surrounded by the sound of water and the scenery of nature,
I feel like I want to stay here forever. Let’s go up the mountain. This place is very cool. This is called Natsushirazu Cave,
and even on a hot day there is a cool breeze. Now that the fatigue has been healed,
let’s go to the last place we will introduce. This is Nobesawa Silver Cave,
a nationally designated historical site. This was a large silver mine that was called one of the three major silver mines in the Edo period. It is the first time I learned that there was a mining method called “Yakibori”. You can feel the history of silver being mined here in the past. The inside of the cave felt like an adventure and it was a lot of fun. I was worried about whether I would be able to climb up to Nobesawa Silver Cave, but the mountain path was well maintained and it was easy to walk. It was a satisfying trip with the scenery of Yamagata and delicious food. I couldn’t buy curry bread, but I bought it online.
