例年4月下旬頃から見頃となる鹿児島県霧島市「和気神社の藤棚」。23種100本が咲き誇り圧巻の風景でした。ただし GWなので、10時頃に行くと駐車場待ちが1時間ちょっとありました。早めに行くほうが良いです。

その後、牧園にある霧島ふもとの駅へ移動。トイレを済ませ昼食を買って霧島神宮に向かいました。予想したほど人は多くなかったです。

最後は鹿児島空港の手前にある嘉例川駅 (かれいがわえき)に立ち寄りました。JR九州肥薩線の駅で、特急がとまる無人駅は九州最古の木造駅舎、国の登録有形文化財です。

東京から遊びに来た客人には、GWの鹿児島を満喫してもらえたようです。
