～地域の自然や暮らしを未来へ受け継ぐレンジャー～国立公園におけるレンジャーの取組紹介／Introduce rangers’ activities of national parks of Japan

環境省には、国立公園の管理や野生動植物の保護などに取組むレンジャー（国立公園管理官・自然保護官等）がいます。自然公園法に基づく許認可などの手続きを扱うほか、公園をどのように保護・利用していくかという計画づくりや、公園のパトロールや自然調査、公園を利用してもらうための施設の整備や情報の提供、環境省が持っている土地の管理なども行っています。この動画では、国立公園の「保護」「利用」そして「保護と利用の好循環による地域活性化」に関するレンジャーの取組について紹介します。

There are park rangers in charge of managing national parks and protecting wild flora and fauna at Ministry of the Environment, Japan(MOEJ). In addition to administering permitting and other procedures under the Natural Parks Act, rangers prepare plans with guidelines for park protection and use, patrol the parks and conduct natural surveys, maintain facilities and provide information to attract visitors to the parks, manage owned lands, and perform various other duties. This video showcases the rangers’ conservation, use, and the regional revitalization activities through a virtuous cycle of protection and use of national parks.
