Beside being less touristic, Yamanakako is physically nearer to Mt Fuji than Kawaguchiko. One can reach there by bus from Mishima station.
Watched this and had a few thoughts:
Don't let people tell you that you can't travel with your baby. Sure, it's not always a walk in the park, but you can learn to enjoy your holiday in a new way 😊My daughter is 13 months old, and we have already taken her to Hiroshima and Chiangmai/Chiangrai! It was tiring but we made very special memories together.
Secondly, my husband is Japanese. My daughter already understands words in both Japanese and English. Don't worry.
Thirdly, people will tell you your newborn is crying because they are hungry or tired. But they don't tell you that your baby cries because they want to be held by you! One mistake I made in the early days is thinking I always had to make my baby nap by herself. Once I let her nap in a baby carrier on me all the time, things went a lot more smoothly. And then one day, she just graduated from that style of sleeping and napped by herself. Now she can nap under a tree 😂 just anywhere. So don't sweat the small stuff and just go with the flow. That's my number one tip when you are tired with a newborn 😊
Yes, also do not forget to teach your child when after he/she grow up to a few years old not to keep cry during your holiday trips journey inside the airplane if you both intend to bring along with your kid. Your country place you share about in Japan there were/are affected by earthquake or not or can be safe to holidays there or not?

Babies will start talking/speaking alittle bit slower when u mix in a few languages, but it helps alot. So the trick is to speak alot. DO a lot of talking with the baby or in front of the baby if adults are around each other. My family is not trilingual, but using both mandarin and english with my kids before they started speaking made them bilingual. They can already translate at 3 years old. I will tell them something in english and they will tell the same thing to mummy in mandarin without batting an eye at 3 years old.
8:10 Agree Japanese > Singlish, but if you like Singapore, should be English > Japanese/Chinese > Singlish/Japanglish
Last Dec, my family and I were also in Yamanashi area driving around the 5 lakes. We also stayed in Hotel Mt Fuji at Yamanakako. Haha
