Simple and Addictive Japanese Kamatama Udon | Udon Noodles with Egg

Thank you for visiting Japanese Mom Makes!
In this video, I’ll show you how to make Kamatama Udon—a quick and comforting Japanese noodle bowl made with hot udon, a soft-boiled egg, and a drizzle of savory dashi-based soy sauce.

In Japan, this dish is often topped with a raw egg, but I’ll be using a soft-boiled egg instead—it’s just as delicious and perfect for those who prefer their eggs cooked!

📝 Full instructions are in the video—watch ‘til the end to see how it all comes together!

  1. Looks simple but delicious! I want to try it, but not sure if I can find dashi here, I wonder if there's something else I can get or make.
