Police rescued me in Matera
Cycling the world – Europe: 197 episode
In this episode of my round-the-world bike tour, I start the day in the peaceful countryside near Matera, letting the sun dry my tent and gathering verbena leaves before heading into the stunning city. Matera is lively, packed with people and police due to an event, but I still get to explore and enjoy its charm. With no host available, I leave before dark and reach the outskirts of Altamura just before sunset, finding a promising camp spot under a roof. Things take a turn when I discover a stash of drugs hidden nearby. Concerned, I call the police, who arrive quickly and escort me into town. They suggest I camp near the station, but thick fog and humidity force me to continue. I finally settle under the roof of a petrol station to sleep, after a long and tense evening.

Lol! Again, I have to admit, I love your sense of humor, your rants I guess. Davide, of all the cyclists I follow here, you remain one of my favorites, if not my favorite. Nice to see you cycling in Matera and heading towards Bari since my better half will be heading there in a couple of weeks. She will be in Monopoli for a couple of weeks. Cheers!
I'll mention it again, a Schlumpf mtn drive gives you the lower gears.
For a non native English speaker you swear very well and in context😂😂 "At night you don't see shit". Top stuff🙌
🇧🇷👍🏻👍🏻
Today's episode is a just a perfect one! This part of Italy – bellissima. And of course some "fckin hell" moments l, the best!
Davide, what size tires are you running these days? 3.0s, 2.6s?
you are cycling everyday, lots of mountain climbs on heavy bike and you saying you are not in good shape? hahaha…
Hello, I watch you with great interest and like you very much. Your shots are very beautiful. Thank you very much. I hope you come to Turkey too. Love 🙂
Bravo Davide! 👏👏
Ciao Davide!
Cycle at night. No si dice in the night. Dai bravo!
Another great video showcasing a nice part of Italy. The Italian tourists board should sponsor you. By the way where did you pick up your knowledge on plants?
I'd estimate the total weight of the bike to be around 40-50. That's a lot of weight and you're incredibly strong, man.
Nice to see you are still going strong, Davide! Been seeing a bunch of your shorts lately, keep it up!
