Cape Town’s Friendliest Vibes ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ vA 175

I ride from Cape Town to Kommetjie, via Hout Bay and Chapman’s Drive, in the beautiful Cape Peninsula in the Western Cape, in South Africa.
My departure is memorable as many people recognize me and cheer for me on my way up the pass between the Lion’s head and the Table mountain. Then I ride the wonderful coastal road along the 12 apostles before reaching Hout Bay where I have a delicious meal at Dunes. At parking lot of Dunes restaurant I meet a very friendly Congolese man who tries to survive by helping people park their vehicles.
After this fantastic lunch, I ride the insanely beautiful Chapman’s Drive, a road famous for being one of the most scenic in the world. As I ride Chapman’s Drive, a storm comes and it rains like crazy. After waiting for the rain to ease off, I finish my ride to Kommetjie, a beautiful sleepy town in a gorgeous setting. I go to the beach to a famous wreck.

  2. If I tried an epic adventure like this, on the third day I would be assaulted, kidnapped or killed. Yves is awesome, his sympathy is like a shield against the bad ones.

  3. The whole of Africa are moving into South – Africa! They are flooding
our beautiful Cape Town ,chasing the so called dream . I wish all of the Africans can go back to their countries of origin, and rather make an effort on improving their own countries, and lives! What about our own indigenous people who's work are being taken by this "African" foreigners. Always makes me wonder, how foreigners manage to get so easily permanent residency in our country!? There must be more strict regulationsmand laws against that!

The car that brushed you is from Johannesburg ๐Ÿ˜…, if you look at the car number plate โ€œGPโ€ .
As someone who moved from CPT to JHB for work purposes – I can confirm those people are lawless on the road, worse than CPT drivers ๐Ÿคฎ

  5. You are a reminder to us of why we stay in our country and how important it is to save it…
Thank you for speaking to everyone so that we can hear their stories too…

  7. Lol astounding. Several Cape Town videos and pretty much not a South African in sight.

It's depressing that ordinary native South Africans faced down colonial armies, displacement & native reserves, police & soldiers on urban & township streets, bearing the full brunt of centuries of authoritarian violence….only for the ANC to open the borders to millions of foreign people over the last 30 years, while doing nothing to have an industrial policy to improve the structural circumstances of the underclass, allowing South Africans to self-actualize in their own cities, instead of being continually displaced for cheap commerce and cheap labour & organized crime, for the ruling elite to short-cut rent-seek off of.

Places like Johannesburg and Cape Town CBD are genuinely depressing.

    A people's struggle betrayed.
