以前舊的社會是用木柴來生火煮飯餸，大戶人家有好多間房，其中一間房會用來放木柴，所以叫柴房。記得一九七零年代廣州舊城區一些民國年代建的舊大屋仲有柴房存在，當年仍有居民用木柴煮飯煮餸。
以前的住宅樓下面除了一些鋪位還會有一間閒的雜物房附帶樓房一起銷售，本地人一般用來擺放單車摩托車,所以柴房一般係指位於地面的電單車房或雜物房仔
開平好明顯好落後，去餐廳酒店服務員都係講台山話，證明冇乜外來人去打工

For security reasons, visitor must register with the temple guards to schedule visits to avoid disturbing the students. The temple was completely rebuilt after the war. 雖然喺廣州出世長大，但係我聽台山話完全冇問題，而且仲可以講番幾句添。皆因我外婆係台山人，係佢帶大我嘅，我仲識一啲台山習俗同飲食，好似三月初三蒸雞屎藤糕點… 其實我阿爸都係台山人，當年父母都係外地工作，自己喺語言上受外婆嘅影響比較大，啲大人講我入幼兒園之前係滿口台山話，之後先至學識講白話。
